He had had a lot of practice on how to do the sleeper voice and he had made good progress.

"I missed you even more," he whispered back.

Lily's eyes softened, and a smile stretched across her lips. Then, without warning, she squeezed him tighter, pressing her body even closer against his.

It was as if she wanted to melt completely into his arms. Her soft but firm body fitted every inch of his body comfortably.

"Thank you," she murmured, her voice full of emotion. "Thank you for being so understanding… for always supporting me and encouraging me to chase my dreams. It means so much to me, Hugo. More than you'll ever know."

Hugo's heart did a little skip, but his brain?

Among all his girls, Lily was the one who loved emotional support and deep conversations the most.

She wanted someone who could talk about feelings, ambitions, and the deeper meaning of life. She wanted a person who she could have intimate, personal and vulnerable conversations with.

And Hugo?

Hugo hated deep conversations. He didn't even like to have deep thoughts. How would he want to have deep conversations!

But for her? He could pretend for a few minutes. But that was already pushing it!

Finally, they separated, and Hugo glanced around the gym. It was completely empty.

"How'd you even get the whole volleyball court to yourself?" he asked.

Lily smirked, crossing her arms in that confident way that drove him crazy. Her sexy figure in that outfit enhanced the wonderful sight immensely.

He wanted to ravage her!

Hugo's eyes narrowed slightly. Suddenly, his heart skipped a beat and his brows furrowed.

"Wait," he said, a dangerous thought creeping into his mind. "Where's your little brother?"

Lily tilted her head, confused by the sudden change in topic.

"Oh, Billy? He's at home."

At that exact moment, Hugo's eyes lit up like a Christmas tree. His smile was so wide it could circle his face.

"Oh, thank the heavens! That little gremlin isn't here to ruin my peace!"

Billy, Lily's adorable but evil little brother, had sworn a blood oath to make Hugo's life miserable.

That kid was a menace, a walking disaster, a gremlin in human form who existed only to block Hugo from spending quality time with his sister.

Especially his dreadful emergency phone calls...

But tonight?

The demon was contained! The angelic forces had managed to subdue the beast from hell!

Hugo felt reborn. Now, he could strike!

"Speaking of volleyball," he said, stretching lazily, "I've been meaning to teach you some skills. You know, show you what it really means to be a pro."

It was time to have a bit of fun.

Lily arched an eyebrow, clearly amused. "Oh? A pro, huh?"

"Obviously." Hugo flipped his cap backward, radiating nothing but pure confidence. "I've been studying the sport for years. I might show you some tricks."

"Uh-huh." Lily crossed her arms, smirking. "And where exactly have you been studying it?"

Hugo coughed awkwardly. "YouTube."

Lily burst out laughing, shaking her head.

"Oh, this is gonna be fun."

"You doubt me?" Hugo acted offended, clutching his chest dramatically. "I'll have you know, I have an unbreakable record in every sport I've ever played."

"Unbreakable, huh?" Lily looked him up and down, her smirk widening. "Alright, then. Let's settle this."

Hugo grinned. "One-on-one?"

"One-on-one."

But just before they started, a thought crossed his mind.

He still had Mastery Points and Credits from his system. Should he spend some to get volleyball skills?

For a moment, he seriously considered it. But then he shook his head.

"Nah. Not needed. It's just volleyball. How hard could it be? All he had to do was give the bouncy ball a spank, right?"

Lily clapped her hands together. "Let's make this more interesting."

Hugo raised an eyebrow. "Oh?"

"If you lose," Lily said with a devious grin, "you have to come to all my volleyball games for the next month."

Hugo nearly choked on air.

"ALL of them?!"

"All of them."

Hugo frowned. That was a lot of time commitment. Not to mention gas expenses when his Benz was repaired.

But before he could argue, Lily continued.

"But if I lose… I'll do any three things you say. No questions asked."

Hugo's brain stopped working.

"Did I just unlock a legendary side quest?!"

He slowly grinned.
