Chapter 689 Knight's path
Chapter 689 Knight's path
"Creating a dome would be better to keep here… so why this thing didn't do that?" Rain thought.
Before Rain could find an answer… they suddenly felt the ground trembling, and soon enough, water began to spread around the place, and its levels began to increase. The cage was like three kilometers long and wide, so it was amazing that the leviathan dragon wanted to fill it with water and create an environment that would help it crush Rain faster.
Rain didn't let his thoughts appear in his mind… so the monster thought that only that much wouldn't faze him. Still, Rain was forced to react when water spears emerged from the ground and flew at him. Rain jumped from one side to the other to avoid them since when the first one landed. The ground trembled violently for several seconds…

The beast kept Rain busy while the water levels in the cage increased, and soon enough, it covered the whole monster. When the leviathan dragon was able to swim freely, its movements made all the water on the cage violently move, creating massive waves from one side to the other, and when the beast got close enough to hit Rain, its tail attack hit the water, and made the blast reach the clouds…
"This could be a problem…" Rain thought.
Rain had some ideas on how he could handle that situation, but he couldn't imagine how the raging phoenix would be able to do that… they would have to kill a creature like that as fast as possible to avoid a total disaster. Still, Rain had to have some ideas after killing one of those things.
While the beast was swimming around, Rain created a box of wind in the air and stayed there while keeping his defensive stance. He didn't care about the water levels increasing. Even though he was sure that the monster would do something against him if he tried to escape by flying.
While Rain was keeping his distance, the leviathan dragon made several water vortex emerging insanely fast to hit Rain, but he jumped away from them and avoided the hit. Still, Rain began to feel a sense of urgency when the water below him became one kilometer deep.
"When all this water dissipates… it could create problems and destroy the villages and towns around…" Rain thought while squinting his eyes. "It can't be helped."
Rain wanted to save some mana since the battle just started and he didn't want to put so much strain on his wives… but in the end, he decided to go all out.
All of a sudden, the leviathan dragon stopped moving when it felt a weird sensation… something that the creature never felt before… It was danger.
The monster flinched for a moment and then it felt the approach of something dangerous coming from above. The cage was immediately sealed from above when the creature felt that, but it wasn't enough. The one hundred meters thick ceiling made of water was pierced by an ice spear.
The leviathan dragon immediately controlled all of that water in the cage to shield itself as it swum deeper underwater and while the water wall blocked the attack for a bit, the real power of the attack wasn't its piercing ability…
The ice spear dissipated before it could reach the beast, but in the next moment, all of the water in the cage began to freeze. It started from outside from the walls and from the bottom, so the creature didn't have time to react, its body was frozen in a thick and cold layer of ice since Rain used all of his mana in the attack to have that effect. Still, the beast was still alive…
"Well, what now?" Rain thought while he felt the cold air slowly eating away his body heat. "I can control the ice to free myself, but I need to kill this beast…"
In the end, while that made Rain feel like his balls were freezing, he created a path downward toward the beast. He couldn't feel any bloodlust coming from the monster, so he felt like the creature was in a cryogenic state. Not for long…
After drinking some potions, Rain made his forearm guards turn into blades and then began to pierce the had of the monster… at first, Rain felt a lot of resistance, but soon things improved and then got bloody. That was very unpleasant… as blood began to fall on Rain, he didn't feel anything different on him or on his guards, but maybe that will happen in the future.
Hopefully, it will be something that will be useful and not a curse.

It was a bold move, but Rain figured out that he should level up the Swordsman's path since he was using blades to kill the monster, and that helped quite a bit. It was annoying, but it was also unreasonable to hope that Rain would be able to kill such gargantuan creatures with only punches.
Rain sighed in relief, but the battle was far from over… but at least the ice will slowly melt instead of the water destroying the kingdom… Still, things weren't over on that area…
