The next day, Rain found himself bombarded with messages from his friends who were curious about the previous night's tremors. They wanted to know what had caused the ground to shake so violently. However, Rain had no answers to give. He attempted to use his rain spell, a magical ability that allowed him to scan the entire country, but even this powerful spell didn't yield any clues.

Despite his best efforts to investigate and find out the source of the tremors, Rain came up empty-handed, and the mystery remained unsolved. Until Geo showed up again with some news…

"Commander…" Geo gulped while showing a pale expression. "Something happened in the beast people's country… it was probably a fight. One hell of a fight."

"I thought that by now, all of their towns would have barriers… do you have any other information?" Rain asked.

"No, sir," Geo said. "My apologies."

Rain couldn't place the blame on Geo, as he had already shared a considerable amount of information with him. However, the current situation left Rain in a difficult position. He felt a pressing need for more information about the mysterious tremors, but it also seemed that the only way to gather that information was to venture into the territory of the beast people.

This decision wasn't one without its risks, as Rain suspected that the tremors might have been orchestrated to lure him into a trap. Aware of this danger, he proceeded with caution, fully understanding the potential risks and uncertainties that lay ahead.

"Can't you just use your spell to check their territory?" Seara asked when she saw the doubts in Rain's face.

"I take it that you want me to do that from the border and while I can do that, I can't cover their whole territory from that position," Rain explained while holding his chin. "Besides, the spell won't cross their barriers, there is a high chance the fight took place inside them. I guess I will have to investigate things from above."

"Be careful, if we were able to sense things from here, things weren't normal there," Terra said.

"I am aware of it," Rain said. "I won't take any chances."

In order not to take any chances, Rain left his home and immediately created an ice armor covering his body. He didn't hold back on the use of mana to make as durable as possible… thanks to it, when he began to control the armor to fly, it immediately started emitting a high-pitching sound.

After approximately half an hour, Rain crossed the border into the territory of the beast people. He took to the sky, flying at a high altitude and utilizing his Magic Eyes to scan for any unusual disturbances in the mana in the atmosphere. However, his search proved to be rather uneventful for several hours, with no significant findings.

It wasn't until he had spent several hours flying that he finally detected a conspicuous concentration of mana. The source of this anomaly was located near the capital of the beast people. As Rain approached, he was greeted by an astonishing sight – dozens of dragon corpses strewn about, each with their heads brutally smashed.

The mana levels in this area were off the charts, and it was clear that a significant and destructive event had taken place. Rain couldn't help but feel a growing sense of unease as he delved deeper while looking at that.

"Welp…. time to return with all my might," Rain thought.

Rain turned around and then flew home while wondering what happened there… he only saw young dragons like water, wind, earth, and fire dragons, but how the heck the earth dragons arrive there when they couldn't fly and why would they attack only the beast people capital? More importantly, what killed them? Were the beast people? Rain didn't recall them being that strong…

While Rain was writing the responses to everyone, he explained to his wives what he saw… he didn't have all that many answers, but it was better than nothing. For now, he just told everyone that the beast people capital were attacked and somehow they killed a flock of dragons.

"That is quite the accomplishment… were them inside the barrier of their capital?" Terra asked.

"Yes, they were unable to use magic, but even so…" Rain said and then recalled that he saw some craters around the city, but pretty far away from it.

The craters made Rain wonder what caused them… they didn't seem like signs that they had been created from battles… they were pretty far away from the barriers as well. Rain didn't mention them to Seara and Terra, because he didn't know how to explain them.

"Maybe the beast queen is back, after a vacation in the lands of the unknown enemy and after drinking a bunch of power up juice…" Rain said. "Saying that out loud made me realize how weird this sounded."

"We have to stay on high alert for a while…" Terra said while rubbing her chin thoughtfully. "That being said, even if you didn't see bodies of the beast people, it is hard to believe that they didn't suffer any casualties."

"It is also unlikely that they will attack us when the dragons are there… the real problem is what the dragons will do now that they know that the beast people won't go down that easily," Seara said.

For the dragons, heir easiest targets at this point were the humans, who lacked the means to effectively counter the dragons' use of magic. However, there was a significant obstacle to launching direct attacks on human territory. To reach the humans, the dragons would have to expose their backs to the beast people and the magic people, who could pose a substantial threat.

It was difficult to see a scenario where the dragons would be willing to take such a risk, even though they were that powerful... it was weird and almost comical that the enemies of the humans that were waging war agaisnt them worked an a defensive line for them.
