Chapter 205 The second event begins

Chapter 205 The second event begins

"Attention, everyone! As you know, today is a great day," announced Professor Athena with a wide smile as she looked at all the gathered students. "You've already had your week of vacation, so I hope you're prepared and well-rested," she added enthusiastically.

She pulled a stone from her ring and projected a screen in front of the students. "Today marks the beginning of the materials and artifacts collection event. This time, the space created by Crystal will be much larger than before. But what's exciting is that this time, all first-year students will participate. 5000 students in a single plane!

Isn't that exciting?" Athena's smile radiated enthusiasm and excitement.

"However, this time it will be individual, not in groups. Once you enter the dimension, you'll have a ring on your finger. There, you can store all the things you collect," explained the professor, preparing the students for the dynamics of the event.

"You'll also have the option to kill other students and steal the things they have, but this time the sense of pain will be at 80%," she added, placing her hands behind her back and beginning to walk.

"The points you earn will vary depending on the quality of the material and its condition. Of course, there will also be unique items that grant more points than others," she continued explaining, stopping and spreading her arms in front of the students.

"Good luck, students," she concluded. "You may now go to your capsules; the process will be handled by Crystal."

Anthony glanced at the professor. "This is my chance to meet the four chosen ones," he thought to himself, feeling a tug on his arm. He looked at Charlotte tenderly as she clung to his arm with an adorable pout on her cheeks. "I don't want to be separated from you!" she exclaimed, jumping to cling to him like a koala, wrapping her arms around his neck and her legs around his hips.

"I'll find you, and we'll be together, I promise," Anthony assured her, kissing her forehead. Charlotte blushed, her eyes shining with excitement. "It's a promise!" she affirmed, hugging him tighter.

Emily's red eyes watched her friend and then turned to her brother. "How?" she asked curiously. Anthony looked at her and smiled, shrugging. "It's a long story," he replied.

Emily frowned. "Lysandra will be upset," she warned. Anthony looked at her confidently. "I have my ways to make her happy, don't worry about that," he assured.

Anthony walked toward the capsule where he had lain during the previous event, Charlotte followed closely by Emily, but what was strange was that Eleanor and Adelaide also joined them. "Can we join?" Adelaide asked with a smile, Charlotte's purple eyes went on guard, and she hugged Anthony tighter.

"Sure, no problem," said Anthony as he lay down in the capsule after managing to separate from Charlotte and promising a few things.

Crystal entered the room, her gaze falling on the door with evident weariness in her eyes. For her, there had been no vacation; she had to prepare an entire planet inside that door, a small planet, very small, that would serve as the setting for the event.

Her hands, eyes, and hair glowed intensely as her silver mana rose above her and touched the door. The door began to react to her influence, unleashing a beautiful display of multicolored lights merging into a ballet of light and energy.

After a few seconds, colorful smoke began to emerge from the door, filling the connected tubes and spreading through the air in the capsules where the 5000 students were, enveloping them in a magical and surreal atmosphere.

Anthony felt an overwhelming heaviness, and he closed his eyes, letting himself be carried away by drowsiness. He had no idea how much time had passed in that state, but his consciousness sank into a deep lethargy.

When he finally emerged from his slumber, a gentle breeze caressed his skin. He slowly opened his eyes and found a dark sky stretching above him. At the highest point, a circle shone brightly through the dense gray clouds, creating a faint light that reached the forest below.

Around him stood a variety of trees, some small and deformed, others large and majestic, but all of them seemed twisted and dark, projecting a sense of unease. The ground was black and grim, and together it formed an empty and desolate forest that inspired no comfort.

Anthony looked at the ring on his hands, a sword, a waterless bottle, and a large space in it, his clothes and armor were the same as the previous event: "Well then, it's time to explore" Anthony began to walk into the forest.

"Not bad, we managed to get fifth place," said Daniel as he skillfully dodged a sword tip that threatened to aim directly at his heart. Aria glared fiercely at her friends, and Jeane trembled slightly as she met her gaze.

"Come on, Aria, don't be so upset," he tried to calm the situation as he hid behind Daniel. Continue your saga on My Virtual Library Empire

"It's very bad! Fifth place is not acceptable! Only the top three places are acceptable!" exclaimed Aria with frustration, unleashing a fight between the three.

Lysandra, on the other hand, stared fixedly at the first-year students' performance. Her expression turned somber, and her eyes lost all their brightness. Her husband's absence for so long was driving her crazy, and now that the first-year students were starting their second event, her mind was elsewhere.

After a few moments of reflection, she realized she literally had a month of vacation to do whatever she wanted, but she had no idea where to go. She turned to her new friends and noticed the murderous look in Aria's eyes as she fiercely attacked the other two.

She hesitated for a few seconds before asking, "Where will

you go?" The three stood still, looking at her, and Aria lowered her sword to give her a look. "We'll go home, and then we'll see what we'll do," she replied, shrugging.

Lysandra considered the option for a moment before timidly asking, "Can I go with you?"
