Chapter 200 Arabella and Alexandra

Chapter 200 Arabella and Alexandra

"Who is this young man, Charlotte?" Arabella asked her sister with curiosity. Charlotte's eyes sparkled with pride as she placed her hands on her hips and responded, "My future husband!" pointing excitedly at Anthony.

Arabella nodded calmly, turning her gaze back to Anthony. Her eyes examined him closely, and after a few moments, they showed a slight flicker of surprise. Anthony responded with a smile and dismounted from the horse.

"He's quite the actor, Miss Arabella," Anthony commented with a grin, acknowledging Arabella's shrewdness.

Arabella gave him another glance and smiled in response. Anthony realized that, despite her apparent calmness, Arabella was capable of maintaining an unwavering control with her purple eyes. It was evident that she had a sister complex, while her mother had a daughter complex. Now that he thought about it, Anthony realized that Charlotte was the most grounded in her family.

Anthony felt the need to be candid, acknowledging Arabella's undeniable beauty. "I suppose you want to visit mom," he asked softly to Charlotte. The girl nodded firmly. "Yes, we want to speak with her," she confirmed.

Arabella's purple eyes gleamed dangerously as she nodded. "I see. Let's go then, mother is already waiting," Arabella said calmly. Charlotte stood beside Anthony, and together they began to walk toward their destination.

Anthony could feel Arabella's piercing gaze seemingly penetrating his heart. She looked at her cute little sister, feeling a pang of sadness seeing her with a boy. Arabella remembered how her little sister had always been by her side in every moment, and that brought a sigh of sadness as they continued walking through the city streets.

Intrigued, Anthony observed the city's infrastructure as they progressed. Everything was built in a Gothic style, with predominant dark colors. Most people wore witch robes, and some stood out as swordsmen or wizards. Along the way, they saw an elderly woman selling somewhat out-of-place substances in a store.

After almost an hour of walking, they finally arrived at the gates of the castle. A large space extended around it, adorned with flowers, roses, and some plants for alchemy. Interestingly, there were no guards in sight.

Arabella waved her hands, and the heavy metal gates slowly opened, revealing stairs leading to another door, this time the castle itself. The atmosphere was charged with mystery and anticipation as they prepared to enter the interior of the castle.

Upon entering, they were met with a large courtyard, its floor gleaming in a crystalline jade tone. A candle chandelier hung from the ceiling, illuminating the place with warm and welcoming light. The walls were adorned with large paintings, and the atmosphere was well-lit, far from what Anthony had imagined.

Instead of being dark and sinister, the place was beautifully decorated, with somewhat peculiar statues and vases filled with flowers.

"Welcome to my home!" exclaimed Charlotte excitedly, taking Anthony's hand as they entered together. Arabella observed the scene attentively, her gaze fixed on Anthony's back. She knew who he was from the moment Charlotte informed her mother that they were coming with a surprise. If it were any other boy, Arabella would have eliminated him without hesitation, but Anthony was a different case.

Anthony noticed Arabella's penetrating gaze and returned a mocking smile, aware of the interest and assessment he was receiving from Charlotte's older sister. "You want to kill me, don't you?" he asked with his gaze, defiant.

Arabella, for her part, responded with a sweet smile as she locked her purple eyes with Anthony's red ones. "I wish to tear you apart with my hands," she replied with a murderous look.

Anthony's smile widened even more as he wrapped his arms around Charlotte's waist, pulling her closer to him. Charlotte's face turned red with embarrassment as she lowered her head. The tension between the two was palpable in the air, but Anthony seemed to enjoy the game as he teased Arabella, who could only clench her fists in frustration.

Charlotte seemed oblivious to the palpable tension between Anthony and Arabella, continuing with her explanations as she pointed out some paintings and flowers along the castle corridors. Meanwhile, Anthony smiled, enjoying the tour despite Arabella's glaring stare. Internally, he noticed the extreme sister complex she seemed to have.

As they progressed, they reached an empty space within the castle, where the floor was adorned with carved inscriptions. Anthony looked around with growing unease, sensing an ominous foreboding. His smile faded as he realized there were no visible corridors or exits. "Damn it," he muttered to himself.

The three people appeared in another part of the castle, but Anthony frowned as he felt his stomach churn, invaded by an intense sensation of nausea. A small laugh escaped Arabella's lips as she saw Anthony's expression of discomfort, causing Charlotte to look at him worriedly and ask, "Are you feeling okay?"

Arabella took the opportunity to intervene: "Dear little sister, it seems our guest can't handle teleportation by artifacts," she said with a chuckle, as Anthony's expression turned grim.

"You've returned," a soft and pleasant voice resonated from inside, breaking the silence. Anthony looked around cautiously. The first thing he noticed was the sunlight streaming in through a large hole in the ceiling, illuminating a small garden in front of him. A small bubbling fountain occupied the center, and seated on one of the benches was a beautiful woman with golden hair.

Her golden eyes radiated tenderness as she stroked a cat resting in her hands. Clad in a white tunic adorned with golden features, she seemed to have a halo of sanctity or even angelic aura. Lovely butterflies fluttered around her, while the fish in the small river ceased their swimming to gaze at her intently. The atmosphere was imbued with a calm and almost celestial serenity.
