Transmigrated As A Villain, The Heroines Are Also Regressors?

Chapter 143 Graverobber

Chapter 143 Graverobber

'I seriously can't believe I'm even doing this right now.' Ronald thought to himself as he was currently sat on a bench at a graveyard.

After the whole interrogating and torturing Lai Ho ordeal that went down this morning, Iris told him that she needed him to do something for her while she went back to the capital city to grab some more things.

Now when Ronald had initially heard this, he pretended to get very angry and lashed out at her for even daring to ask him for a favor when she was simply just a maid, which was something Ronald had also done very frequently in his previous life as part of his villain persona.

But after Iris didn't back down and insisted that she needed his help so that she could become stronger, Ronald agreed to help.

Ling Feng was truly a threat to him after all, and if he could increase Iris's chances of winning against him by even just 1%, then he doesn't mind giving Iris all the help she needs.

Of course, he had also taken into consideration that Iris might straight up try and kill Ye Fan the moment she deemed it possible to, but the pros outweigh the cons.

So what was it exactly that Iris wanted for him to do?

'She wanted me to find some weird looking amulet at a graveyard while she went to do something else.'

That's right! Grave robbing of all things!

Like seriously, could she have asked him to stoop any lower?

Or does he just look that much of a crook to her?

'Sigh, the disadvantages of being a rich second-generation villain in one of these novels.'

Fortunately as a rich second-generation villain, he also has plenty of money laying around.

So instead of just doing the work himself, he went and hired a bunch of thugs and criminals to do the dirty work for him.

'Ah, the perks of being a rich second-generation villain in one of these novels.' Ronald smiled to himself as he laid back on the bench and crossed his legs in a villainous fasion.

Just as Ronald was relaxing however, one of the criminals wearing a ski mask approached him.

"Yo, We need to talk."

"No, for the hundredth time, we're not stealing anything else in here besides a red looking amulet with inscriptions written around it." Ronald narrowed his eyes at the criminal and said in annoyance.

"It's not about that this time. Here, I think I found it." The criminal then pulled out a red amulet with inscriptions written around it from the pouch on his waist and handed it over to Ronald.

After receiving it, Ronald pulled out his cellphone and waited for a text message to appear.

But when none came however, he put his phone away and nodded in satisfaction.

"Perfect, this is it." Ronald then suddenly noticed a somewhat frightened look underneath the criminal's ski mask, and he looked at the criminal weirdly, "Something wrong?"

"Ah, it's nothing too serious. It's just that when I picked up the amulet inside the tomb, I heard a faint scream coming from it. It think the one-eyed soul devourer is trapped in this amulet or something." The criminal let out a nervous laugh.

"One-eyed soul devourer? Yeah, you're just being too paranoid. Ghost aren't real after all, but hey, that's pretty cool name for a ghost though." Ronald chuckled and then stood up and patted him on the shoulders, "Anyways, great work. Go let everyone know that they're free to go now and tell them that I'll send over their payments the first thing tomorrow morning."

The criminal nodded at Ronald, and then quickly left to pass on the news.

After watching the criminals leave with energetic looks on their faces, mainly because they were about to get paid extremely well, Ronald turned to a dark corner of the graveyard.

"Okay Iris, you can come out now."

As soon as Ronald finished speaking, Iris slowly emerged from the shadows and walked towards Ronald with a black bag around her back.

"Young Master." Iris politely greeted.

"Sup, since I didn't recieve a text message from you, I'm assuming this is it, right?" Ronald handed the amulet to Iris as he spoke.

"Correct, Young Master. Thank you." Iris took out a yellow talismans from her bag and wrapped it on the amulet.

"Sure thing... by the way, weren't you covered in cuts and bruises this morning? How do you look all fine now?" Seeing as though Iris's body appeared to be completely normal now when she was only gone from the graveyard for a couple of hours, Ronald couldn't help but question dumbfoundedly.

Sure, he knew that recovery pills and things like that existed in this world and Iris could heal her wounds if she had enough qi, but given Iris's current cultivation level and the rarity of the materials needed to create high-quality recovery pills, she shouldn't be able to make those kinds of items yet.

Iris smiled softly at Ronald's confused look on his face, and she responded, "Young Master, do you remember when I stabbed my right hand with the blue dagger about three nights ago?"

"Uh, yeah, what about it?" Although Ronald had actually totally forgotten about that incident until she reminded him, he nodded without hesitation.

"Well Young Master, when I had stabbed my hand with it, I became its owner and it granted me access to some powerful abilities. So after I returned back here to the graveyard, I started healing myself while waiting for the criminals to leave." Iris answered.

Now of course, it was far more complicated than that, and there were significantly more drawbacks than benefits to the cultivation technique she had used to 'gain ownership' of the dagger, but she didn't want to tell Ronald all that.

"..."

Uh, what?

Did he hear that correctly just now?

Iris simply just stabbed her hand with the dagger, and now all of a sudden she can do things like rejuvenate her body back to full health?

What the actual hell kind of ridiculous plot armor is that?

Not even Ye Fan, who is the actual protagonist of this shitty world, could get away with some bullshit like that!

Besides, when Ye Fan gets saved by the plot armor, at least there's an explanation for how it happens.

But this, how could anyone explain this?

While Ronald was thinking to himself however, Iris on the other hand saw Ronald's confusion and she offered, "Young Master, I think it's better if I demonstrate to you its abilities."

Iris then pulled out the blue dagger from her right hand, and gave herself a small cut on her thumb.

Afterwards, she began shifting the qi in her body towards the hand that was holding the dagger.

Moments later, the blue dagger could be seen lighting up from within, and when the color of the dagger had changed from dark blue to a more vibrant light blue color, the small cut on Iris's thumb healed instantly.

"See, Young Master. Cool, right?" Iris showed her healed thumb to Ronald as her eyes sparkled with pride, like a proud kid showing off their drawing.

Ronald didn't instantly reply back and instead looked at her intriguedly.

Naturally, since he could sense qi, Ronald saw what had happened just now.

Basically what she did was she shifted the qi to her hand in order to activate the weapon's abilities, which is the standard way to activate a magical weapon or artifact in this world, but instead of activating some sort of offensive or defensive ability like all other artifact did, it instead revealed a concentrated pool of qi sealed within its core, like an absurd amount, which she then used a chunk of it to heal her thumb.

In short, the dagger acted like a storage space for qi, similar to how a cultivators stores qi in their dantian, with the only difference being that it can store as much qi as a cultivator in the Innate Realm.

Now, of course, it was cool and all, and this was actually the first time Ronald had seen a magical weapon that could be used in that way, but it still leaves some questions hanging...

How did Iris get all that qi and absorb it into her dagger in such a short amount of time?

And more importantly, why did Iris need to stab her hand with it and make it merge into her hand or whatever it was that happened?

Ronald couldn't come up with any good explanations as to why, and frankly, he had a weird feeling that something deeper was at play here, but since he was certain that Iris wouldn't tell him more about it if he asked anyways, Ronald didn't push it any further and nodded.

"Yep, very cool Iris. As expected of my personal maid." Ronald praised, "Anyways, now that you got your amulet, we're heading back now."

Ronald then turned around and smugly started walking to the front gates of the graveyard.

But just before he was about to walk through the front gates however...

"There's still something I need to do, Young Master."
