The Rise of the Black Plain

Chapter 2924 Lineage Evolution

Chapter 2924 Lineage Evolution

Chapter 2924  Lineage Evolution

As the empire's capital faced its most critical hour, the "chosen ones" bathed in pillars of cosmic light and energy understood the gravity of the moment.

'Grandpa! You finally made it!' Raiden looked through the building as he gazed upward at the shimmering rift in reality. A wild grin spread across his face. He lowered his guard without hesitation, recognizing this as the birthright of Minos' bloodline.

Minos' descendants, whether seasoned cultivators or untrained youths, each found themselves in the same situation as Raiden. Their bodies and souls underwent profound qualitative evolution, unshackled by mortal limitations.

The older ones could better understand this opportunity, gaining the possibility of making a qualitative leap without effort or impediment to get in their way. It was as if, suddenly, the laws of cultivation had simply stopped working for them, allowing them all to improve as much as they could.

There weren't many with Minos' lineage in this world, since even dragons weren't members of a very numerous race. Few received this chance, even considering the whole of the Spiritual World.

But on this day, a chosen few would ascend. Their blessings, they soon realized, were tiered by blood proximity. The more distant relatives received mere sparks of power, while Minos' own grandchildren stood bathed in better positions.

Raiden shuddered as his cultivation shattered into the level 100. His physique ascended to the Celestial grade, transcending his prior understanding.

The process lasted only a minute—a frozen heartbeat to observers—yet when the radiant pillars faded, golden thrones materialized within the rifts, visible only to the chosen ones. Their austere grandeur pulsed with familiar energy to them all.

The other heirs of Minos mirrored Raiden's epiphany—until a voice thundered from the golden thrones into their minds: "His Excellency awaits in the Upper Realm. Those who seek eternity may follow. Choose now. There are no second chances."

Its reverberations rattled even the most steadfast souls. No one doubted this ultimatum; hesitation meant exclusion.

Raiden's gaze swept across his throne room—two sons stood beside him, while the others glowed like celestial beacons scattered through the city. 'Never the young ones,' he vowed. 'But the elders? They'd earned autonomy.'

Through the bloodline's psychic bond, he sent his decree, "Decide freely. Stay, and I'll carve your path to ascension. Go, and your great-grandfather's shadow will shield you."

Decisions crystallized. Across Dry City, ancient dragons soared toward the rifts, abandoning mortal soil. Only a handful lingered.

Raiden's pillar dissolved first, his choice made. His youngest children's light dimmed in turn, safeguards locking their dormant potential. Of his many heirs, just two daughters chose the unknown.

"Father! Mother! I'll save your seats among the stars!" The first girl laughed as her body ascended the luminous column, her figure shrinking toward the throne only Minos' blood could perceive.

The second floated upward, tears glinting like diamonds. "Forgive me," she whispered.

Raiden's wives clasped trembling hands—pride and sorrow warring on their chests. Yet hope prevailed: their children now danced beyond mortality's cage.

The throne's voice echoed a final edict as it faded. "The young ones shall awaken their gifts with each trial. Let their strength unseal their birthright… or bury it. The same goes for the others. Good luck."

With those last words, the throne vanished alongside its chosen ascendants. Reality trembled as the dimensional fractures snapped shut, leaving the Spiritual World eerily still—as though the cosmos itself had inhaled sharply and forgotten to exhale.

Three minutes. That's all it took to rewrite the rules. Millions stood frozen—bystanders, skeptics, believers—their jaws slack as the impossible dissolved into mundane skies.

Raiden broke the silence first, his grin luminous. "Friends!" His voice boomed across the stunned capital. "Today marks a dawn beyond dawns. My grandfather, Minos Stuart, has shattered mortality's chains. His reign in the Upper Realm begins!"

Dillian staggered as if struck, tears spilling unchecked down his weathered cheeks. Across the empire, devotees crumpled to their knees, prayers coalescing into a psychic roar that shook the atmosphere—Triumph! Glory! Ascension!

The assembly of world leaders erupted into chaos—then euphoria. Wine flowed where treaties once languished. Amid the revelry, the Elven Sovereign stood apart, eyes fixed on the heavens. 'Fool,' she cursed herself, 'to think I could outmaneuver a man who bends stars to his will.'

...

While the Spirit World was beginning to digest the news of Minos' success and the changes it would bring to the planet, other places in the universe were experiencing something similar.

In The Adamant Land, the land of the former Mechanic Empire and current home of the family raised by Sarah Stuart, the descendants of Minos, as well as the dragon inhabitants of that world, had gone through the same promotional experience as their companions in the Spiritual World.

They took advantage of the opportunity for quantitative and qualitative growth, with some choosing to stay and some deciding to enter the absolute dimension.

Something similar also happened on Zocarro and other planets, such as the Seraphim Dimension and the world of dragons, where some of Minos' relatives and heirs were now.

Given the differences in the passage of time between the worlds, those on Zocarro were still deciding on their path at this very moment!

'I'll stay!' Kendrick thought to himself as he momentarily ignored his level 124 cultivation, something he had achieved on this occasion besides a quasi-Absolute grade Physique.

Looking at his companions, wife, children, and guild, he was determined to stay and make his own way when the time came. In fact, like Kendrick, none of Minos' children would choose the simple path of going straight to the Upper Realm. This would not be the case, however, with Minos' ancestors, such as his mother, grandparents, and blood relatives from the Coleman family.

Having already seen their grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up to become experts in their own right, Maisie, Patience, Oswald and the others chose to ascend without hesitation.

Meanwhile, in the Seraphim Dimension, Ruth, Gloria, Abby and Segiel watched many seraphim depart the dimension while grinning from ear to ear. Minos had succeeded in his plans and now their children were much stronger. Even though they weren't close to most of them, from Lily's example, they could imagine the situation of the others.

Abby felt a shiver of happiness and said to her harem sisters, "We must prepare ourselves. Some of our children are already stronger than us."

"I'm not so worried about that," Ruth said with a smile, already thinking about the future. "What interests me, however, is how monstrous they will be when we conquer our own thrones. Will they be the first in history to go through two lineage promotions?"

Each of the mothers of Minos' children thought about this with interest, seeing themselves as responsible for their offspring's fate, even though they were already as powerful or more so than they were.

But even though they were proud mothers, what they wanted most was immortality alongside Minos.

Segiel said, "Let's get back to our meditation. Lily and the others can cope with the changes brought about by Minos. But we still have to carve out our own space in the Upper Realm."

With tacit agreement, they went back to concentrating on themselves, determined to reach level 125 before Minos returned to guide them through the challenge of entering the Upper Realm on their own.
