Chapter 145 Formation Stones, Planning an Ambush
Chapter 145 Formation Stones, Planning an Ambush
The clock would soon hit ten, so the assassins chose to close in on the mansion, thinking that with their superior concealing abilities, they could stay hidden from the sensing range of anyone below the Root Great Sage stage.
Saintess Selene was just a Root Sage, so they weren't worried.
But Gaia picked up on them when they entered the range Kent had told her to cover. It was 6 miles from the mansion.
There was no escaping her, even if you were a god.
But now that they were discovered, Kent could only prepare.
"How many are we talking, Gaia?" Kent asked.
[Three Great Sages and 9 Root Sages.]
"I see. This is cool then. Even though I can't handle a Root Great Sage, I have somebody who can do that. The only question here is whether we can kill them all before they escape."
He wasn't worried about whether or not he could face them. He knew he could do that now that his Soul Master class had become a Grandmaster, too.
[With just 10,000 tower points, you can buy Formation Stones to create a formation around the battleground, preventing any of them from escaping.
With 15,000 points, you can even block sounds, and with 20,000, you can prevent lights from attacks from being noticed.]
Gaia offered, making Kent nod in understanding.
"Let's go with the 20,000. I will be getting the points back anyway," Kent said with a calm smile. He wasn't about to pretend he would be able to kill all of them before they had the chance to escape.
So he needed help, and with this formation, he could do just what he had in mind. With the formation, he could fight to his heart's content.
"But Gaia, how am I going to set the formations without them noticing me first?" Kent asked.
[I will handle your aura. Just do your thing, and I will handle the rest.]

The tower can conceal his aura, making it impossible to notice his presence unless you look directly at him. That was the perk of having a tower.
Kent spent the 20,000 points and bought the formation stones.
When activated, these stones contained formations that would cover an entire area where the stones had been meticulously arranged. Only he could come and go as he pleased.
After leaving the tower, he used his [blink] skill to move and create an 8km diameter box as the kill zone for the visitors he and the battle doll would be handling.
He still had about 40 minutes before the assassins made their move. But with the formation active, he left and returned to the mansion.
He would be spending the night with Lilian and Unity, but before that, he called his master and handed her the magazine.
"No need to be shy, master. This is just something to prepare you for the journey ahead," Kent said, licking his lips.
Saintess Selene blushed.
She couldn't directly ask Unity or Lilian what she wanted to know, but now that she has a magazine, she could learn something.
In fact, in her heart, she was overjoyed.
With her perception level, she could tell Elsa had become stronger than her. She wasn't the same just a day ago.
This got her thinking, and as a very curious person, she couldn't help but wonder what had happened to her. She was already looking forward to her awakening ceremony without even realising it.
Kent walked up to her and held her by the waist.
"You don't have to rush things. We'll be going back to the academy in a week's time, so if you want to wait until then, I don't mind at all."
He kissed her for a second and then pulled back, but he still held her by the waist.
It took her a few seconds, but she kissed him back, and within minutes, they were locked in, kissing. After they broke the kiss, Kent told her to relax and enjoy her reading.
He left and stepped outside the mansion, ensuring he stayed only 100 meters away from the formation and concealed so he wouldn't be noticed. The tower also made sure his aura wasn't leaking.
He wanted to see them first and plan his attack.
A few minutes before ten, twelve people could be seen sneaking closer to the mansion. Kent smiled and waited.
Just when they got within 100 meters of him, they stopped. It seemed they had come to a dead end. Something was blocking their way.
"What is it?" one of the Root Great Sages asked.
"Leader, it seems there is a formation blocking us," one of the Root Sages replied. The leader came closer and inspected it using his energy, and as the Sage said, indeed, there was a formation in their way.
"This wasn't here the last time," one of the three leaders said.
With the masks on their faces, it was impossible to tell their expressions, but Kent knew they must be freaking out by now.
Of course, he wasn't concerned about that. He just watched them try attacking the formation, but nothing worked. They used other means, but they all resulted in the same failure.
So, they chose to combine their strength to attack. But that didn't happen, as before they could do that, Kent appeared 40 meters from them.
"Are you guys from the Dark Devil Church or the Hand?" Kent asked, feigning ignorance. He already knows the answer, having gotten it using his enchanted eyes.
But he just had to ask.
"Who are you?" one of the leaders asked.
Kent scoffed. "I should be the one asking that. You guys are trespassing, and as such, I should be the one asking what the hell you're doing here.
But I know you're here to kill everyone, just like you did with the Ashlands." Kent's words shook the hearts of the three leaders.
That mission was supposed to be a secret, yet it was made known by a random, weak youth.
"I presume you're here for the Atomic Divine Body... right?" Kent asked again.
"Y-You, who are you?"
"So it's true. Then that means I have the right bunch. Don't worry, I just need the location of your headquarters. But don't worry, I won't torture you for it; your dead bodies can answer me."
Kent moved closer. "And before you act tough, know that the entire space has been sealed. So, no matter what you try, you won't be able to escape.
Your death has already been signed."
Kent summoned the Battle Doll, who immediately appeared and stood tall beside him. It quickly drew the two swords behind it.
"Take care of those three," Kent said, pointing at the three Root Great Sages.
The doll moved, and before the three Root Great Sages could react, it appeared and unleashed a powerful attack that immediately separated them from the nine Root Sages.
Kent looked at them. "It is true I can't handle you nine at the same time, but that doesn't mean I can't handle you."
"Soul Shock!" Kent unleashed the skill he bought from the Green Gate Bazaar last time. Immediately, the nine held their heads, a few screaming.
A black pill appeared in his hand. It was a poison pill he concocted the last time. It was called the Dark Menace Poison Pill.
Also, it was a bomb-type pill, and right now, Kent threw it at the nine, which exploded in their faces immediately, making all of them scream.
His sword appeared, and he smiled.
