Infinite Paths: The Raging Phoenix

Chapter 721 Teaching

Chapter 721 Teaching

Although Rain said that he wanted other ways to get stronger, mainly ones that wouldn't be too risky since he was going to keep fighting dragons for a while, he still kept practicing the current technique and after one week, Rain finally obtained some results.

It wasn't complete, but Rain was able to fall asleep and remain conscious for one hour. It was a weird feeling being aware that you are sleeping and also knowing how things were happening around him. Perhaps it was just Rain's imagination and Terra's snoring kept him awake, but soon he began to feel his body getting hot while it was trying to keep using Meditation Mastery beyond its limits.

"I guess I need to be able to do this for a while longer," Rain thought. "Anyway, is this fine?"

While we sleep, the brain processes and consolidates information acquired during the day. This helps in forming memories and linking new information with existing knowledge, aiding in learning and problem-solving.

Sleep allows the brain to rejuvenate and repair itself. It helps in clearing out toxins that accumulate during waking hours, contributing to brain health and functionality. Adequate sleep plays a significant role in emotional regulation and stability. It helps in managing stress, anxiety, and mood swings, enabling better emotional well-being.

Lack of sleep impairs memory, attention, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities. It can make it challenging to concentrate and learn new information. Sleep deprivation often leads to irritability, mood swings, and increased stress levels. It can exacerbate symptoms of anxiety and depression.

Extended wakefulness can induce hallucinations, where individuals might perceive things that aren't real. It can also lead to delusions or false beliefs. Chronic sleep deprivation is linked to various health issues such as obesity, weakened immune function, increased risk of heart disease, diabetes, and compromised overall health.

That was a world of magic and Rain's body was pretty strong, so perhaps bis brain could also withstand all that and Rain was just thinking too much about it. He will have to research that.

"I get the trick… we just need to get used to using our brains only while the body is completely relaxed," Rain thought. "This could be a good source of mental training for the warriors."

Rain was thinking that he should make everyone increase their mana pool to be able to use Magic Boost for longer periods of time. That would make them stronger overall… most of them could use Limit Breaker three times longer than Magic Boost after all.

In the end, Rain wondered if he should strive to learn a new technique every month… it would be better if he learned passive ones since they didn't have costs and equipping them and making them level up was much easier.

Learning this technique will be useful since it will make the warriors accumulate mana, health, and stamina… while it was hard to imagine them storing more that their body limits, it would still be fine and a good addition to their set of skills.

"After that… if we can learn how things work with the leviathan dragons, then things will be even better," Rain thought.

Rain decided to head to the dungeon and train the skills of the physical path since it was closer to being mastered, but he stopped when he found Danny and Annie in the garden looking troubled and bored. Around that time of the day, they were supposed to be training with Terra…

"What are you two up to?" Rain asked.

"Ah, papa… it is nothing," Danny said.

"Papa knows already… we don't have to hide that we are training with the mamas," Annie said.

"Is that true, papa?" Danny asked, visibly disappointed.

"Eh, I wonder…" Rain said while scratching his cheek.

As expected of Annie, she had realized that… Rain didn't want to confirm that, but he didn't want to lie and treat them like idiots, so he gave an ambiguous answer.

"Where are the mamas?" Rain said.

"They didn't say," Annie replied. "Papa, can you teach us today? I also want to fight someone stronger, Danny is weaker than me already."

"Not fighting, sparring is the correct word," Rain said and then saw Danny with his head down.

In the world where magic reigns supreme, physical strength is less about muscle size and more about magical prowess and techniques. Due to the inherent magical abilities and training available, the gap in strength between men and women is minimal.

Magic allows individuals to harness power beyond mere physicality, making physical strength less reliant on traditional factors like muscle size or gender differences.

However, despite this equality in magical strength, societal norms and personal expectations can still play a role. In a situation where siblings are close in age and abilities, other factors like pride and self-image might come into play. Taking the case of Danny and his younger sister - despite being born just ten minutes earlier, Danny felt embarrassed and frustrated for losing to his sister.

"Maybe he's the type who gets picked on easily?" Rain thought. "Danny is a good kid, he is more gentle, just like Terra and I guess Annie takes after me who acted like a smartass sometimes thanks to my memories."

Rain thought that he was doing enough to raise his kids well, but perhaps he needed more. Helping them like that should be enough to fix their problems. At the same time, Rain will be able to put his devilish plan of making his kids turn to him instead of their mother when they need help when it comes to training… so devious. Although Rain taught Terra everything he knew about close ranged combat.

"Sure, why not?" Rain asked. "Let's see you two sparring. Try to attack and defend with all your might. I will be here to heal you if something happens."

Danny and Annie's confusion stemmed from a discrepancy between the training advice given by their parents. Unlike Rain, Terra emphasized a different approach to training for her children. She consistently advised them to be considerate and gentle with each other during their training sessions, promoting a more nurturing and cooperative learning environment...
