Infinite Paths: The Raging Phoenix

Chapter 720 Logical

Chapter 720 Logical

After Rain finished burying the annoying shield, he sat down with his wives and spilled the beans about what he did and the thoughts that were bothering him. As he explained, his wives caught on to the serious vibe and looked concerned.

After Terra and Seara heard Rain out, they exchanged worried glances. They could tell that this was a big deal, and they felt the same unease that Rain was dealing with. It wasn't just his problem; it was theirs too.

The homey vibe in their place turned a bit serious as they all thought about the challenges ahead. Rain's wives weren't just bystanders; they were in this together.

"A history beyond the known story… that is interesting, if anything," Seara said. "If not even Isa knows about it that much, who we can talk about this?"

"Perhaps the dragon god… but I am not sure the dragon gods have time to pass each other the information that they have while they try to kill each other," Rain said. "Still, while this is troubling, we have other concerns… things have grown quiet in the beast and magic people territory, but their barriers are still up, so it seems that they survived as well."

"We don't know their losses, but you still think that they will take the chance to fight us when the dragons can attack them and create this confusion many-sided war?" Terra asked.

"They will since it looks like they are being controlled," Rain said. Continue reading at My Virtual Library Empire

Back in the day and on earth, wars had these long breaks between them. People needed time to recover, rebuild, and prepare for the next round of chaos. But now, in this world of magic and super strength, things are different. People could zip across vast distances faster than ever, and they had the power to produce and move food with ease.

The downside to this magical advancement, though, was that wars didn't just end out easy. In fact, for a war to come to an end, one side had to endure insanely heavy losses. The speed of travel and the efficiency of resource handling meant that conflicts were more intense and relentless.

It was a brutal cycle where victory often came at the cost of immense sacrifice, making the stakes even higher in this era of magical warfare.

"Still, we have to think again on the long term while making our next plans," Rain said. "Our forces decreased in number but they increased in power thanks to the materials of the dragons, the dungeons are also becoming tougher, so they will serve as good training grounds to make the raging phoenix even stronger."

"But we need more, right?" Terra asked. "We will have plenty of materials, but we also have a lot of rebuilding to do, and after seeing the result of those battles, few people will want to join us."

"Well, that is their choice, if one day we run out of troops, we will just focus on protecting those who fight alongside us," Rain shrugged. "We can't defend the whole kingdom if we are the only ones with balls to fight for our lives. Once Lotto is done equipping everyone, I will ask him to focus on quality. Armor made of dragon parts is bound to be even better than shields."

"We got some cores too this time, it is rare to find them since only evolved dragons have them and not all of them actually have those," Terra said. "You should get one, Rain. Then again, you don't use armor."

Dragon cores are like jackpot resources for making armor, shields, and weapons. These things pack magical goodness that turns ordinary gear into superhero-level stuff. it's like wearing an invincible force field against some elements. The scales and bones from these cores make armor crazy tough, so it can take a beating from regular hits and magical attacks without breaking a sweat.

Now, picture shields made with dragon core magic. They're not your run-of-the-mill shields; they're like Captain America's shield on steroids. These shields can block anything, from swords to magical blasts, making them a warrior's dream come true.

As for weapons, they're not just sharp; they're magically charged. Blades become legendary weapons. It's like having a party every time you swing your weapon. So, in simple terms, dragon cores are the secret sauce for making armor, shields, and weapons that can turn you into a medieval superhero.

"Do we have ice dragon cores?" Rain asked.

"Why are you so obsessed with ice now? It was water before…" Terra frowned. "If we had it, Lotto would have made something for you… maybe the ice dragons we killed months ago were all young dragons that evolved recently."

"Because ice is cool, get it? Cool," Rain said and then laughed while his wives rolled their eyes. "Anyway, it is taking a lot of time to learn the techniques of the dragons, so I am thinking of using other methods to strengthen us."

"We are about to master the first paths, so we will become a lot stronger," Terra said. "Still, I am really looking forward for the glowing up."

"Rain, shouldn't you get more seals?" Seara asked. "We are also thinking of other ways to improve it, but that seems the best option. You got a lot stronger thanks to Branden seal, so having the seal of another mage truly would help you a lot. Your sisters fit that role very well."

"Hmm, I am not sure that is the best of ideas," Rain crossed his arms and then thought about it. "Branden basically decided to stop getting on the battlefield to take a more administrative role, but those three won't do that. I also think that it would be better for them to make seals with other important people for them. They are at the age of getting married after all.

Dad and I can't be the most important male figures for them forever."

"You must have eaten something bad since you are being logical with something related to your little sisters," Terra said.
