Chapter 711 Avoiding further problems
Chapter 711 Avoiding further problems
By utilizing the power of the shield for only a fleeting moment, Rain skillfully avoided letting its influence seep into his mind. It was crucial for him to stay vigilant, considering the potential risks that might arise if the entity within the shield attempted to manipulate him.
Rain recognized that he couldn't afford to be complacent, even if the mysterious being chose not to influence him directly. Remaining cautious and focused, he continued to navigate the situation surrounding the shield and its suspicious occupant.
In the end, the dragons made their choice since the other group was making much progress. As the earth dragons thundered toward the wall with powerful momentum, Rain found himself under a barrage of fire spears launched by the fire dragons. Enjoy exclusive adventures from My Virtual Library Empire
His initial reflex was to dodge the incoming projectiles, but a moment of swift thinking revealed the potential devastation that awaited the structures behind him if the fiery onslaught persisted. Realizing the imminent danger to the nearby houses, Rain adjusted his strategy, opting to intercept the fire spears to prevent catastrophic explosions and collateral damage.
"It can't be helped…" Rain thought.
When the spears were about to hit him, Rain twitched his ice blades and then swung down and blocked the fire spears. Explosions happened in front of him, but Rain didn't feel much of the heat since the ice blades extinguished the flames.
When the earth dragons were about to slam their faces agaisnt the wall, Rain suddenly made several spikes emerge from them and targeted the eyes of the dragons… even though he fired them in the last moment, the beast still managed to turn around their heads and avoid the hits in the eyes… the spikes only scratched their faces, though. Still, they tried again…
"Oh... you're so hardworking, it's a pity though." Rain said as he made more earth spikes emerge.
When the dragons stepped away to avoid them, they ended up stepping on holes on the ground that Rain just made… the holes were filled with mud and Rain readily froze it as hard as he could… only the feet of three dragons, though. Rain had to pace himself.
While those three beasts were trying to free themselves and failing miserably. The fire dragons moved to the sides and then fired fire spears at the city… but Rain blocked them all with ice walls.
"You guys really pisses me off." Rain said. "I guess I will… fight for real."
The dragons, sensing Rain's bloodlust and understanding his ominous words, braced themselves for an impending attack. Anticipating a fierce battle, they readied their defenses. However, to their bewilderment, Rain's response was unexpectedly subtle. Rather than unleashing a devastating assault, Rain merely conjured waterballs, which he then directed toward their faces.
The dragons, initially confused by this unexpected maneuver, grew increasingly agitated. Frustration and anger surged within them, and in their determination to crush Rain, some were willing to sacrifice themselves for the cause.
In the moment the anger took over the minds of the dragons, Rain smirked and used all of his skills alongside the power of the shield… the dragons fell for his bait.
Although this time the dragons felt the danger in time and immediately protected themselves with Dragon's Rage, they didn't expect that Rain wouldn't target their heads… Before the skin of the earth dragons could become as hard as diamond, Rain chopped off the legs of four of them.
The dragons unleashed guttural roars of agony as they crashed to the ground, their massive frames trembling from the impact. The force of the cuts caused their legs to bleed profusely, further debilitating their already limited mobility. For the earth dragons, whose strength lay in their steadfastness rather than speed, this proved to be a decisive blow.
Yet, Rain, undeterred, had more in store for them.
Rain used his magic to cover the legs of the earth dragons in ice and then connected them all together… in the next moment, he had giant spear made of ice and the feet of four dragons… it was rather grotesque, but it was bound to be powerful. If anything, it will enrage the dragons and make them do stupid shit.

…
The wounded dragons bleed to death rather fast… and the others looked completely speechless as Rain made the giant and grotesque ice spear spin in front of him while gaining speed.
Quite fast, the ice spear began to turn red thanks to the blood of the dragons, but then instead of attacking with that weapon, Rain jumped with all his might toward the fire dragons. The creatures used their fire breath to attack him at once, but Rain didn't even have time to get burned…
The ice blades disappeared from Rain's hands to make him focus on the spear instead, and then he punched the mouth of a fire dragon and then forced to close it. The fire dragon flinched thanks to the fact that its brain shook at that moment, but then the ice spear approached and smashed the head of the creature.
The other fire dragons used their fire breath on Rain as soon as he finished their attacks, but the ice spear repelled the flames as he kicked the head of the fallen dragon and moved upward… the flames never reached him and he had the chance to take a good look on the battle on the other side.
The colossal golem dragon, resembling a living mountain, was abruptly toppled backward by a resilient group of warriors. These warriors had banded together, using their combined strength and strategic prowess to resist the massive creature's attempts to crush them.
The ground shook as the golem dragon descended, its gargantuan form now vulnerable after being pushed off balance by the warriors' coordinated assault.
"I guess they don't need my help there," Rain thought. "It is time to focus on something else."
