Chapter 70 Curiosity's Best Of…

Ken and Kimberly entered the cinema, and then paid for a movie they were about to watch.

After they got their tickets and popcorn, they both headed for the movie room.

Meanwhile, Emma entered the cinema with them and also paid for the same movie, and entered the same movie room.

Ken and Kimberly sat at the first few seats at the left corner of the room, while they waited for the movie to start.

There were five minutes left for the movie to begin, and the whole room was still empty. However, it didn't take too long after they sat down, and lots of people began to enter.

And to their surprise, the whole place got filled in less than three minutes. It came as a shock to them to see so many people enter to watch a movie.

It was as if everyone who were inside the dating nation, at that moment came to watch the movie.

A minute before the movie to begin, Emma entered the movie room, and found a perfect place to sit.

She scanned through the place to look for where Ken and Kimberly were sitting, and in just a moment, she found it.

"Hope you are not scared of horror movies…?" Kimberly asked Ken, with a teasing expression on her face.

"Uh-huh… no one ever told me that it was a horror movie that we are about to watch." Ken exclaimed.

He acted as if he was scared of horror movies, and Kimberly saw the expression he was making. In her thoughts she concluded that he was scared of horror movies.

She then chuckled and said. "Hm… it looks like a man is a man after."

Ken gave a puzzle expression when he heard this. He tried to process what she meant by that. However, he couldn't.

"What do you mean…?" He asked, curiosity.

Kimberly smiled and adjusted herself properly and closer to him before saying. 'Don't you worry, I am here for you if you are scared."

Ken then became even more puzzled. He never actually said he was scared of horror movies, so he wondered what she was talking about.

Although, he didn't make a thing out of it, as they both look straight ahead to the screen, since the movie was about to start.

"It looks like the movie is about to start," Emma uttered.

She looked beside herself and saw two small children. They were both staring at her in a very weird way.

The children's way.

She then became puzzled as to why they were both staring at her in that way. There were both completely different kids.

They didn't know themselves, and their parents were beside them to the end of the roll. Which meant that Emma was sitting in the middle.

She then tried to give them a sign to focus on the movie that was about to start. However, as kids at that age, they didn't understand what she meant.

Immediately, the whole place became dark, and then the movie started.

When the movie started, Ken and Kimberly were watching it with such focus. Although one of them wasn't actually focused on the movie.

And that was… Kimberly.

She kept using her side eyes to stare at Ken, trying to see if he was going to make any reaction to the horror that was about to occur in the movie.

However, there was none. His face was steady and focused. He didn't give any impression of being scared or such.

The reason why Ken looked so steel and focused, was that he was staring at the system.

Ken was frozen as he saw this, which was why Kimberly thought he had no facial expression based on the movie.

At this moment, Ken was interrupted by Kimberly. She placed her hand at the front of his face and waved, which brought him back from his thoughts.

Ken turned to her and then she asked the question. "Where is your mind?"

Even with how dark the whole place was, Kimberly was still able to notice that he wasn't paying attention to the movie.

Although, she was only able to notice this because of the rays of light that reflected on their faces.

"Uh… it's nothing. " Ken responded.

At this moment, there was a big scream on the screen, and Ken immediately turned to know what was happening, and also did Kimberly.

However, she thought this was her chance to see what his reaction was going to be. So instead of her facing the screen, she stared at him.

There was no expression at all.

Kimberly, then began puzzled, and wondered. 'Didn't he say he was scared of a horror movie? So why hasn't he made any expression of being scared.'

Kimberly continued to wonder. It was a thought that couldn't leave her mind, and then she thought.

'This guy really is full of mysteries.'

Ken who seemed like he was paying attention on the big screen, wasn't actually. Instead, all his mind and focus was on the urgent Sub-mission.

'It says urgent… however there isn't any time duration,' Ken thought. '…isn't urgent supposed to have a time limit? Minimum in fact.'

Ken was still trying to process everything, then the thought hit him. 'Come to think of it, I have been sensing someone's gaze on me the whole day.'

He then thought this was a good idea to check if there was anyone looking at him at this moment.

Ken turned to check if he would see anyone. However, he didn't. There was no one.

Meanwhile, the so called person who was supposed to be staring at his side. Was busy playing with the children that were beside her.

Ken continued to reason the sub-mission, while Kimberly continued to observe this reactions.

'Even still… it looks like the system is going to assist me on this sub-mission,' Ken thought. '…if the system wants to assist me, does that mean it's going to be a tough sub-mission.'

Ken thought really carefully. He knew that it had been a while since the system used the /guarantee system/

So, now that the system is talking about assisting him, he then became more curious about what this sub-mission holds.

Kimberly noticed Ken. The way he adjusted himself gave her the impression that he wasn't comfortable.

He stared at the cyan screen instantly, while he placed his hand on his chin. At this moment, he bent his head down a bit, which was away from the view of the screen and then…

'What is he looking at?' Kimberly thought. '…it looks like he staring at something…?'

Kimberly wasn't sure what was going on. And of course she couldn't know about the cyan screen or anything like that.

'Maybe I should ask him.'

However, before she could say anything, Ken immediately stood up from his seat.

"I would be right back." He said to her, as he walked passed her and left.

Kimberly turned her back and saw him as he goes. She couldn't pinpoint what was actually going on in his head.

And with the way he was moving, it was like he was in a rush to check something.

"He really is a strange guy…" She uttered.

While Ken was walking along the sides to leave the movie room, Emma instant caught her eyes on him.

"Wait…what!" She utter, "…where is he going…?"

She then turned to look at Kimberly, and saw he sitting down without anything unusual.

All was well.

'Where is he going…' She thought. '…it doesn't matter, this is my chance.'.

Emma then left the kids that she was playing with, and stood up to follow Ken. She was so in a hurry that she left her bag on the seat.

As Ken had already left the movie room, he asked for the direction to the restroom, and was giving it.

He then headed there, and so did Emma. While Ken was walking, since everywhere was quiet due to the fact that almost everyone was in the movie room, he started to have a feeling that he was being followed.

Ken immediately entered the restroom, and instantly closed the door.

However, just when he thought had escaped who ever was following him, he then heard a knock on the door.

Ken was hesitant to open it, however his curiosity got the best of him, and so he decided to opened it.
