Chapter 69 A Question, But No Answer.
Chapter 69 A Question, But No Answer.
"Where did you go? You took so long." Kimberly asked Ken the moment he sat down.
While she was tired of waiting for him, she decided to go and look for him. However, when she was about to stand up, he came out of that same door she saw him entering earlier.
"Oh…don't reason it," Ken uttered, while he chuckled. "…I just went to the restroom."
Kimberly released a sigh of relief as she said this before saying. "Oh that's great. I thought you ran out on me again…"
Hearing this, Ken raise this head from the cutting of his meal, and stared at Kimberly with a curious expression.
"What…?" She asked.
And Ken replied. "If I recall correctly, you were the one who ran out on me the other day." He proclaimed, and Kimberly was astonished.
She had a mouth widely opened as she smiled. She then chuckled and fired back.
"Well if someone hadn't made such a furious exclamation about going to do it, I wouldn't have left like that."
Her voice was a bit loud when she said this, although it wasn't so loud that people could hear it. No.
It was just within themselves. Although she wasn't upset at all. "…you were the one who dragged me to go and have s^x with you, which was so creepy. In fact, I have been meaning to ask, why were you so into it that made you showcase an outburst like that…" Kimberly asked.
Upon hearing all these, Ken gulped and concluded in his thoughts that these were way too much for him to answer.
He tried to look for a way he could change the topic to prevent him from giving her any answers.
However, with the look she had on her face, it wasn't the look of one who was going to back down even if you tried to make them forget the question.
And so Ken decided to improvise. He sliced his piece of chicken with such ease, and with his fork, ate the one which he had cut.
Kimberly saw this, and thought to herself. 'Isn't he supposed to be answering me? So what's with all those eating styles?'
The way Ken slicked the chicken, was very decent and very classy. One might think that he was doing it to impress the beautiful lady in his front.
However, that was the last thing on his mind. He did this so he could buy time and think of what he was going to say to her.
And it all clicked. He then placed the final piece of chicken inside his mouth and downed it with a glass of wine.
At this moment, Kimberly was now able to tell that he was already done. And so, was about to respond to her question, so she prepared herself.
This was the time she had been waiting for. Since they had their previous date. She had always wanted to know the reason for why he acted that way.
She gulped.
And then it came out. Ken dropped the knife and fork and was ready to speak
'It's here…' Kimberly thought.
And just when she thought that she was expecting, or rather her, she thought he was about to say something really detailed, he uttered.
"I am quite impressed you were still able to go on a date with me even after that."

Bummer.
Kimberly's head fell flat on the table, as she felt very disappointed and played.
It wasn't the answer she was expecting.
"Are you okay…" Ken asked, as he saw her do this.
In an instant, Kimberly lifted her head back up and took her hair to the back of her head. And then stared at him with a very upset expression. Your next chapter awaits on empire
However, Ken didn't seem unfazed. It didn't even pay attention to her, as he began cutting the other chicken while he waited for an answer.
"So…?" He uttered.
Kimberly took a deep breath in and took it out. Before uttering.
"For starter, I wanted to know what was actually going on when you started that outburst," She uttered.
However, Ken didn't say anything. And so she continued.
"…I also thought you were a good guy, so you might have your own unique reason for that. So I decided to give it a try again. I really thought it was going to be different this time."
Ken pushed the fork into his mouth, as he ate the chicken before saying. "There wasn't any particular reason for me doing that. I just thought it was going to be fun."
This is what he said. And at that moment, Kimberly froze.
'What…?!' She exclaimed in her thoughts. '…he did it for fun?!' She then began to go through all the scenarios of why he would do that.
However nothing came out.
"…so you don't have to worry about any of that anymore. It was just a… fluke, I would call it." Ken responded.
'A fluke he says.' Kimberly thought. She had almost a day to reason why that happened, and just when she thought she was finally going to find the right answer, she was told it was a fluke?
Unbelievable.

Meanwhile, back at Emma's table. She had already started eating her meal. I mean why couldn't she? Her stomach would have eaten her raw if she didn't give it anything to eat.
While she was eating, she stared at Ken's table and saw that both of them were chatting in a decent manner.
She studied how they were talking and every moment they made.
It was normal.
And so she thought that all was good and well. Even with this, she never forgot to wonder how Ken was able to disappear and reappeared out of thin air.
It was still a mystery to her.
After a while of staring, she saw them standing and making their way out of the restaurant.
Emma immediately tried cleaning herself so she could also follow them. However, her meal stopped her from moving any further.
She had bought quite a lot and consider leaving it without eating everything. It was known to be a waste of food, if she did that.
She was a nice person still.
And to her surprise, she saw both Ken and Kimberly just standing right outside the restaurant.
It was a transparent entry door, so she could see them clearly. And so she decided to eat quickly before they eventually departed.
_
"Wow… that was a great meal." Ken proclaimed.
Kimberly seemed to agree, however she didn't make any specific expression. It seemed that Ken, not giving her a rightful answer to her question, was eating her up.
"So… where to next?" He asked.
After a while of making a pick, they finally ended up with the cinema as their choice, and so they headed there.
Emma saw them going, and immediately rounded up. She paid instantly for the meal, and of course so did Ken and Kimberly.
Without haste, she left the restaurant and saw them making their way into the theater.
She knew that this was where everything was going to go down. This was where she was going to insert her revenge, or her plot.
She wasn't so sure.
Still it was the best place to execute all of it. And so, immediately after waiting for them to enter the theater, so did she.
