?
Yarin's POV:
For a few seconds, I thought I was under some witchcraft. Otherwise, why would I have such a colorful and creepy illusion before me?
"What the f*ck is this..." I heard a warrior beside me muttering.
As time passed, the scene outside the window kept changing. Some were chaotic, some were monotonous, and some were flickering.
It was as if a huge color tray had been overturned in my field of vision. Sticky paint flowed slowly, making me think of poisonous caterpillars and vicious snakes. I even had the illusion that I was about to drown in it.
"Everyone, stop looking out the window!"
Aunt Eve's roar called me back. I took a deep breath and realized I had been unconsciously holding my breath just now and almost suffocated myself.
Cold sweat had already soaked my clothes, and now it clung to my body like the paint in my fantasy had invaded my body.
I shivered.
Compared to the others, I wasn't in such a sorry state. Some soldiers even started throwing up while leaning against the wall. His eyeballs and the veins on his neck were bulging too. It was as if he was going to vomit.
"Help him out. Don't let him be affected by the chaotic space again," Aunty Dorothy said decisively.
However, the people around us were a little hesitant - it was like that outside!
Aunt Dorothy obviously understood their concerns and said bluntly, "Don't worry, what we see has nothing to do with the display. The outside world is still the same as when we came here. Other than hiding somewhere outside the Lily of the Valley, there won't be any danger."
At this moment, Aunt Eve also gave an order. She believed Aunt Dorothy, so the warrior was helped out by his companions.
I kept staring out the window, worried they might be in danger. However, the two who supported each other disappeared at the door like the hare and tit.
The others in the room saw this as well.
Everyone looked at Aunt Dorothy in unison. She was the only one who could explain.
"What everyone sees outside the window is completely different from the real world," she said.
"Dean and Troxin disappeared after they walked out of this building not because they encountered danger or an accident, but because they left the space we are in."
Everyone was puzzled.
"We all know that the broadcast station has two levels of space. The real station has been hidden by the Lily of the Valley. The visible and accessible 'broadcast station' is a folded space that was created."
"We've been looking for the key all this time. We assumed that the key must be in the station. But we have already found it, or rather, them."
She looked at the stones on the table.
Everyone followed her gaze. The patterns on the stone were as fresh as blood.
"When we found these stones, because of the formations and runes on them, the other werewolf grandmasters and I naturally thought they were used for evil rituals.
"But nothing happened after they absorbed a large amount of mana and life force. Not even a trace of evil energy leaked out. Evil ritualists paid attention to the equivalent exchange. Since the believers had offered sacrifices, no matter how much, the evil god would give them a little reward.
"So I started to suspect something strange about these stones until we found that the small animals disappeared when they approached the broadcast station.
"Spatial spells are intricate and complex; once they are formed, they are difficult to destroy. Our movements are unable to cause them to fluctuate. Since there was a crack between the folded space and the real world, it could only mean that the lock had loosened.
"That's why I took the risk to use these stones for experiments. As expected, they weren't tools for an evil ritual but keys to enter the station."
The patterns on the stone flowed slowly as if they were alive, reflecting dim colors from time to time under the dim yellow light.
This wasn't my illusion. The scarlet red color was indeed flowing.
Aunt Dorothy addressed the crowd, "But even though they are keys, they are essentially no different from evil priests. If we wanted to activate them, we would probably have to pay enough life force.
"The key was activated halfway, and the door was half-open. Therefore, the two spaces began to intersect, like two identical photos being forced into the same layer. The overlapping blocks caused errors, and the repair program returned them to their original positions. This process was repeated and became the scene we see now.
"Space is difficult to understand, and the wrong space will cause mental pollution. We would be fine if we stayed in a stable space, but from now on, try not to look out the window to prevent yourselves from getting hurt."
Everyone still feared Aunt Dorothy's explanation, but I didn't care because I found more information.
"If the fake and real spaces are folded," I asked. "Doesn't that mean we have a chance to enter the real station now?"
As soon as I said this, the entire place went silent.
Aunt Dorothy looked at me and nodded slowly.
"That's right. But don't forget; the doors are interconnected. If we can go in, then the other party can come out."
