Yarin's POV:

The next day, the most powerful and experienced warriors carefully selected by Aunt Eve were lined up orderly.

On the third day, some were native Silver Moon fighters, while others had traveled thousands of miles to protect their fellow fighters. They still had mortal bodies but a strong and

tenacious spirits.

After my mom and Aunt Dorothy took turns protecting them, these soldiers acted as the vanguard and headed toward the National Broadcast Station.

I went with the rescue team, along with Aunt Dorothy. She was an important figure in the fight against the evil forces.

Before I left, my mom finally couldn't help but worry. She reluctantly told me, "You must listen to the command, okay? Trust your commander and your companions. Remember that you and they are one. You must advance and retreat together."

Looking back, I could no longer see my mom's figure. We were gradually leaving the area that belonged to the Silver Moon Pack.

I felt a little nervous - how long would it take to get from here to the station? One hour was enough.

As the vanguard, the soldiers were much faster than us. When we set up a temporary command post twenty kilometers away from the station, they had already sent us an observation report.

In the photos they sent back, the entire station was quiet. No cars were entering or leaving.

No one was in sight and could be seen through the window. The lights in all the rooms were on as if they had stayed up all night and no one cared about them. The door was closed, but it was not locked.

The warrior caught a few wild rabbits and put them inside.

It looked like this place was on vacation or abandoned, but the lights that lit up all night and the unlocked door showed that this was not the case. This made the entire station even more sinister and eerie. The soldiers could not act rashly without orders.

"It seems that no one is here." Aunt Eve frowned. "No signs of life have been detected. How is that possible? So many hostages just disappeared overnight?"

I was 'eating' a handful of discarded bullet shells when I heard that. I asked, "Could the Lily of the Valley have escaped in advance?"

"It's possible that the hostages will leave the station. Either go to Jasper or come to our side. No matter which side it will be, they will attract attention if so many hostages suddenly appear at the border. We will get the news."

"But doesn't the Lily of the Valley have a long-distance movement method? Moreover, Border City is the headquarters of the Lily of the Valley. Perhaps they have secretly returned but sealed the news."

Aunt Eve shook her head. "The National Broadcast Station has already set up a deconstruction array for safety reasons. Sorcery won't work there. As for Border City... Could only humans be allowed to set up a hidden post in the werewolf pack? Can't we plant some nails in it? We have people in Border City. If the hostages were transferred there, we should have received the news."

In the end, she decided to send someone in to investigate.

Half an hour later, the warrior reported that nothing was found in the station. It was an empty building.

"Did they run away?"

Aunt Eve was suspicious. She didn't think the Lily of the Valley would run away but still sent some people to search for clues near the station.

At least for now, the station was completely safe. Therefore, everyone else came here besides some people who stayed behind.

Compared to the day I left, there was no change here. I could still see the staff members pretending to peek at the grass as if nothing had happened, but the reality was that there was no one here, only a few wild rabbits eating grass.

No one was in the conference room, office, cafeteria, or gym, and there was not even a living thing in the basement. It was as if the entire broadcast station had evaporated.

Aunt Eve didn't believe it and asked us to continue the search. Aunt Dorothy looked at the empty buildings and frowned thoughtfully.

I naturally couldn't just watch. As I searched, I suddenly heard the cry of sparrows outside the window.

The gray bird tilted its head to look at me on the branch and then flew away. I followed its figure and ran left and right, finally arriving at an empty conference room.

The sparrow was perched on an office chair, and something shiny was beside it. I picked it up and looked at it. It was a candy beautifully wrapped in laser paper.

"The lily blooms in the morning glow."

This was... The candy that Heller gifted Lily.

Lily must have been here before. Although she might have been transferred away again, leaving this candy behind was a clue.

I showed it to Aunt Eve at once.

Aunt Dorothy was right beside her. Hearing my guess, she said, "No, Lily might not have left yet."

Looking at my confused gaze, she asked Auntie Eve, "Eve, do you still remember the Rocky Mountains?"

Aunt Eve nodded. After a few seconds of hesitation, she suddenly realized something. "Are you saying that the situation at the broadcast station might be the same as back then?"

"What's going on?" I asked, confused. "What happened?"

Aunt Dorothy returned the candy to me and said in a deep voice, "We are currently in a fake space, and the real broadcast station is overlapping the space we are in."
