Villain's Valor: A Noble Fantasy Resurrection

Chapter 196 I will do it again

Chapter 196 I will do it again

The event came to an end the next day, but the planned surprise never materialized. All participants who managed to survive until the fifth day were expelled at midnight. Out of the 75 students who started, only 7 groups managed to survive until the end. The ranking of each group would be communicated directly by the responsible professor.

Some of the students wore sad faces, especially those who were eliminated in the early days of the event. Among them was the group that Anthony personally killed, the three students harbored resentment towards him, but after witnessing how he faced a titan alone, they forgot everything that had happened before.

Yesterday

Cristal asked Anthony, "Do you remember what happened?" Anthony looked at her for a few seconds, confused. "I just remember how Fallen threw me like a doll against the wall," he finally said.

Athena watched Anthony's body closely from behind, looking for any anomalies. After a few moments, she asked a question. "You went crazy after activating your bloodline," she began, walking towards him and circling him.

"You almost killed Charlotte, severely injured Edward and Alicia, and nearly killed your own sister, but since your body was missing an arm and had fatal wounds all over, she managed to kill you," she continued with a pleasant smile.

Anthony frowned as he looked at Athena. He couldn't remember anything she mentioned. He hesitated for a moment, but then shook his head internally. He knew Athena wasn't lying. He turned his gaze to Cristal and asked, "Can I see the recording, please?" He needed to see it with his own eyes to understand what had happened.

Cristal nodded. "Sure," she replied. She snapped her fingers, and the three of them disappeared, instantly transporting to another location. They found themselves in a space where colors blended to form a surreal view. They could see planets of different sizes around them, creating an impressive landscape.

"We're in my gate," explained Cristal. Anthony opened his eyes, understanding what she meant. "The Chosen Ones," he murmured in recognition.

A holographic screen appeared in front of Anthony, showing the scene of the battle where his bloodline activated, enveloping Fallen in some kind of capsule. However, he couldn't clearly distinguish what was happening inside. Athena and Cristal, present beside him, shrugged in puzzlement.

Cristal fast-forwarded the recording, revealing how Anthony had attacked his own teammates before being ultimately defeated by his sister's sword.

Anthony sighed with frustration as he closed his eyes, sinking into his soul sea. The environment remained as dark as ever, but this time he found himself facing the imposing dragon that dwelled within him. "You went crazy," declared the dragon with a deep, resonant voice. "It's simple. You're weak, and besides, you weren't wielding the empire-level sword.

As I warned you before, without that sword, you become vulnerable to madness. My lineage is strong, boy. If you can't control it, it will control you. You've seen it with your own eyes; that's the outcome if you allow it to happen."

Upon opening his eyes again, Anthony emerged from his inner journey, immersed in reflections on the wise words of the dragon. He became aware of the vital importance of controlling his power. This time, luck had been on his side; however, imagining the consequences if that episode had occurred in real life, his expression turned grim.

Although he normally harbored no resentment towards his sister for eliminating him—in fact, he was grateful—Anthony understood the need to prevent his dark side from taking over more than necessary. He glanced at the two women and nodded, but his gaze lingered longer on Athena. He hesitated for a moment, knowing he might regret it in the future.

"Teacher, if it's not too much to ask, I would like your help in solving my problem," Anthony expressed, noticing how Athena's gaze deepened. After a few seconds of contemplation, she responded, "Fine, but..." She turned to her friend Cristal and took her by the waist, causing a surprised expression in the young woman. "But we need the help of this cutie here.

If every time you activate your bloodline you go crazy and lose control, the best solution is to practice in a space where I can kill you without any problems," she concluded with a smile on her lips.

Anthony felt his whole body tremble, but the upside was that he wouldn't remember anything afterward, with a smile, "Thank you, teacher." She nodded satisfactorily, thinking he was going to back down, but he exceeded her expectations: "I'll come for you for practice," the three of them disappeared from the place again.

Anthony walked through the halls, feeling the gazes of the other students upon him. Everyone knew what he had faced: alone against a titan, and moreover, managing to eliminate a Fallen on his own. Upon reaching the door, he stopped and prepared to enter, noticing how the stares lingered on him.

Charlotte rushed towards him, arms open in a welcoming gesture, and hugged him tightly. Anthony returned the embrace, though feeling somewhat guilty for what had transpired between them during his madness. He looked at her for a moment, many thoughts crossing his mind as he gazed at her. He wasn't sure what he was thinking, though the idea of having more wives wasn't frowned upon...

but she was different, belonging to one of the ducal families just like his father. There was a whole procedure to follow, including visiting her home and asking for her hand from the head of the household. Shaking off his thoughts.

Silent steps approached him, and he found himself locking eyes with his sister, Emily, whose red eyes examined him attentively. "I'm glad you're okay," she said calmly. Anthony smiled, though his response was somewhat sarcastic, "Thanks for stabbing me in the heart, sister," he said in a joking tone.

She glared at him, her red eyes gleaming. "If you go crazy again, I'll do it again," she said before walking to her usual seat, smiling as she walked alongside Charlotte, who clung tightly to his arm.
