Chapter 347: Chapter 349 Trouble
Qin Hao’s face changed dramatically upon hearing this, “What? What happened to my dad?”
“He’s still in the resuscitation room, the doctors say it’s very serious, he has a brain hemorrhage,” Kang Youyi said with a somber tone.
“I’m on my way back right now.”
After hanging up the phone, Qin Hao said to Han Meng and Han Qiaoer, “My dad had a car accident, I need to go back. You both stay at home and take care.”
As soon as he finished speaking, he hurried out. Han Qiaoer ran out and got into the car with him, “Dad, I want to go with you to see Grandpa.”
Qin Hao had no time to waste. Seeing that she wanted to go, he didn’t say anything and quickly drove out of the neighborhood.
He was driving the Lamborghini, which could go faster, and its license plate was special, so there were no worries about being stopped by traffic police.
It only took him twenty minutes to drive from Haoting Sea View Villa District to Jianghai International Airport.
Using his status as an academician, he bought two tickets to Jiangli City in Shuinan Province at a special service counter.
Jiangli City is very close to Jiangshan. Although Jiangshan is currently building an airport, it still needs a few more months to be completed.
On the way, Qiao’er was well-behaved and didn’t speak or cause trouble, clutching tightly to Qin Hao’s hand the whole time.
The flight landed in Jiangli City about two and a half hours later.
After leaving the airport, Qin Hao took a taxi, handing the driver a stack of money, well over ten thousand yuan.
Qin Hao spoke up, “Master, go to Jiangshan First Hospital as fast as possible.”
“Alright, leave it to me. I’ve been driving for decades, you can rest assured,” the driver said without hesitation as he started the car and drove off.
He was familiar with the roads here, knew where to enter, and he immediately took the highway from Jiangli City’s outer ring road, rushing to Jiangshan First Hospital at top speed.
On the road, Qin Hao took out his mobile phone and called Kang Youyi; the call connected quickly.
“How’s my dad?” Qin Hao asked as soon as he called.
Kang Youyi replied, “It’s critical. We’ve already signed the notice of critical illness; Auntie fainted from crying.”
“Tell the doctors to hold on for two hours no matter what, I’ll be there soon,” Qin Hao said in a low voice.
He calmed his emotions and continued, “Did they catch the driver?”
“No, he’s run off. The police are in pursuit,” Kang Youyi said.
Qin Hao’s eyes narrowed, a fleeting cold killing intent apparent, “We’ll talk about everything when I get back.”
He sat in the back seat and reclined slightly, closing his eyes as his mind raced.
This was very likely not an ordinary hit-and-run case, there was a high chance someone was plotting behind the scenes.
Upon this realization, Qin Hao opened his eyes, a frightening gleam flashing within, whoever was behind this, as long as he found out, they were dead!
He had a few suspects in mind, the Meiwei Group, Tang Group, and the Dayuan Group from Jiangshan.
Especially the Meiwei Group, which was highly suspicious, as Qin Hao had just refused their negotiation for acquisition yesterday, and this morning, his father had an accident.
It was noon, twelve o’clock.
Qin Hao arrived at Jianghai City First Hospital, hurried inside with Qiao’er, and quickly made his way to the resuscitation room on the third floor.
Outside the resuscitation room, Kang Youyi, Li Bao, and a bunch of people were standing, while his mother was sitting on a nearby chair sobbing softly.
“Hao (Hao),” Li Bao and the others said anxiously upon seeing him.
When Li Shujie saw Qin Hao, she looked up at him, “Xiao Hao, your dad is nearly gone.”
As she spoke, Mrs. Qin’s tears fell. The doctor had just told her that the mortality rate was very high, at eighty percent.
Qin Hao said to Li Bao and the others, “Guard the door, no one is allowed in.”
After he finished speaking, he went straight into the resuscitation room, where the doctors and nurses were still fighting to save a life, but by this time Mr. Qin’s heartbeat was very weak and could stop at any moment.
“We’re performing surgery here, get out right now,” the nurse said with furrowed brows, urging him quickly.
The chief doctor, Chen Deshi, recognized Qin Hao, who had previously saved the life of Li Bao’s mother.
“Everybody out.”
After speaking, Qin Hao walked to his father’s side, opened the oxygen mask, poured a bottle of life-saving elixir down, and then used another bottle of mental stimulant elixir.
“Such a serious car accident; the nervous system must have also been damaged.”
Mr. Qin’s head and body were covered in surgical incisions.
The nurse wanted to say something more, but the chief physician, Chen Deshi, directly said, “Everyone go out and rest, I’ll watch over here.”
The onlookers left with perplexed expressions but still exited the room.
“Suture,” Qin Hao ordered tersely.
Chen Deshi handed over the suture, and Qin Hao, with practiced and smooth motions, began stitching up his father’s wounds.
It wasn’t even five minutes before the attributes of Mr. Qin’s heart and other aspects returned to normal on the monitor.
This left Chen Deshi dumbfounded. What was going on?
He hadn’t done anything, yet the patient’s heartbeat and other aspects had returned to normal?
No, that’s not right, he had just given the patient two kinds of drinks. Could those be the reason? But what were they?
How could there be medicine with such terrifying effects?
After finishing with the stitches, Qin Hao said, “Alright, have him moved to a higher-level ward.”
Having said that, Qin Hao unplugged the various machines from his father and pushed him out.
Li Shujie, seeing Qin Hao pushing Qin Youguo out, let out a tortured cry, thinking Qin Youguo had passed away.
Qiao’er, standing beside her, grasped her hand, her eyes also reddening.
Qin Hao hastily said, “Mom, Dad is fine now.”
Li Shujie’s sobbing ceased abruptly; she hurried over to check, and saw his chest rising and falling normally with each breath.
“As long as he’s okay, that’s all that matters,” Li Shujie said amidst tears of joy, tears falling to the ground.
After moving his father into the ward, Qin Hao said to his mother, “Mom, I need to head to the police station. You stay here with Dad; he should be able to leave the hospital in a couple of days.”
“Xiao Hao, you’re not lying to your mom, are you? He can leave the hospital in two days?” Li Shujie said with disbelief.
Qin Hao: “Mom, why would I lie to you? Just wait here for me; I’m going to the police station first.”
“Okay,” Li Shujie and Qiao’er nodded.
Once out of the ward, Qin Hao’s expression changed instantly.
Kang Youyi and Li Bao stood outside; they hadn’t entered for fear of disturbing Mr. Qin.
“Leave a few people to watch here, the rest of you come with me to the police station,” Qin Hao told Li Bao and the others.
Li Bao nodded, instructed four men to stay and guard the area, and then followed Qin Hao out of the hospital.
Qin Hao arrived at the police station and, after giving his name, went to the Criminal Investigation Department, where Tie Gaoming and others were in charge of the case.
Seeing Tie Gaoming and his team handling the case, Qin Hao had already guessed that this was no ordinary hit-and-run.
“Mr. Qin, good afternoon,” said Tie Gaoming, his eyes reflecting a complex mixture of emotions.
His gastric cancer had almost healed, and he owed his life to Qin Hao.
So facing Qin Hao again filled him with a multitude of conflicting emotions.
Qin Hao spoke in a cold tone, “Captain Tie, go over the specifics.”
Tie Gaoming nodded: “The place where Qin Youguo was hit is along Changshan Street, when he was doing his morning exercise.
The perpetrator was driving a black van and deliberately struck Qin Youguo.
There were many people exercising in the morning, but he targeted the victim specifically, indicating this was a premeditated murder.
The perpetrator then abandoned the vehicle and escaped. At the first instance, we sealed off the city exits, but so far, there is no news of the perpetrator.
The city bureau is highly concerned and has demanded a quick resolution to the case.”
Qin Hao: “Get to the point.”
Tie Gaoming, with a grave expression, said, “After reviewing the surveillance footage, we suspect the perpetrator has fled into the mountains of the Hengduan Mountain Range.”
