Chapter 248 - 247 Take You to the Loess Plateau

Chapter 248: Chapter 247 Take You to the Loess Plateau

Niu Qi glared with his big bull eyes at Wang Hao; in that moment, he felt as if he were possessed by the Wisdom Goddess herself.

If one were to connect the dots from Wang Hao being kidnapped as a child, to his plastic surgery, all the way to opening the Supreme Duck Restaurant, Niu Qi had a sudden epiphany about Wang Hao’s life experiences.

It must have been because of the Bull-man’s inherent physical strength that Wang Hao was captured and taken to the human world to start working as a “duck.” But since Bull-men didn’t meet human aesthetic standards, humans cruelly remade him into a pretty boy with a fair face.

Having come to this realization, Niu Qi couldn’t help but sigh helplessly. He had originally thought this Bull Demon King had “studied abroad” in the human world and could change the Bull-men’s foolish, stupid, and dim-witted ways.

But who knew, he had simply had this kind of experience before and replicated it all, allowing him to start a promising venture like the Supreme Duck Restaurant.

“I’m already doing well to just replicate it, at least I don’t even know how to do that,” Niu Qi said happily as he stroked his own horns.

Wang Hao, hearing laughter, turned his head to glance at Niu Qi. What was this silly bull laughing about for no reason?!

“Ahem!!” Shi Feng coughed slightly, saying awkwardly, “Brother Bull Demon King, I have something else today, so I won’t chat with you any longer.”

After saying that, he quickly got into the RV and told the driver to leave. He felt he simply couldn’t keep up with Wang Hao’s pace—one second seriously discussing how to make both of their races rise to power.

But the next second, he could lead you onto a desolate plateau of yellow soil, one with a degree of sand coverage beyond your imagination, even beyond the world’s understanding.

“Cousin, since Brother Bull Demon King is here to see you, you two have a good chat!” Shi Feng threw out this line to Meng Qi as he looked back. Their Fox Clan had always wanted to rise but never found a way.

Now, whether or not Wang Hao could provoke a major war between the two Royal Families, they had to try.

After all, if they succeeded, there were benefits to reap; if not, it had nothing to do with their Fox Clan.

And, most importantly, Wang Hao might very well have secrets of the Frenzy Skill on him, which if handed over to Meng Qi, would certainly make him spill the beans willingly.

“Cousin, you…” Meng Qi was infuriated, puffing up her cheeks. Which brother sells off his own little sister like this?! And to Wang Hao, that scoundrel, no less.

Shi Feng ignored Meng Qi’s pouting and simply ordered the driver to drive.

“Stupid cousin!” Meng Qi stomped her foot in anger.

“Look here, Miss Meng Qi, are you gonna give me a straight answer about needing a male nanny or not? You should know I’m an action man, and if there’s anything I’m not short on, it’s a female boss,” Wang Hao said impatiently.

Meng Qi took a deep breath, turned back, and glared at Wang Hao, “Stop being a scoundrel, just spit out what you want quickly.”

“I want you!” Wang Hao declared earnestly.

Meng Qi, frustrated to the point of madness, suppressed the urge to stride forward and slap Wang Hao. She couldn’t imagine that even among humans, there would be such a vulgar scoundrel.

Just then, Niu Qi received a message that made his face change instantly, “Wang, it’s not good. Some Tiger-men are causing trouble at the Supreme Duck Restaurant.”

“Has it finally begun?!” Wang Hao’s lips curved up slightly as he turned to leave.

Meng Qi looked at Wang Hao in surprise. Was this the same sleazy guy from before? His confidence and composure exuded the aura of a strategizing wise man, showing not a trace of scoundrel.

“The Supreme Duck Restaurant? What kind of place is that?!” Meng Qi tilted her little head, thinking it over and realizing she had never heard of such a shop in her mind.

“Hmm… Let’s go take a look anyway,” Meng Qi decided after a moment and chose to follow.

Outside the Supreme Duck Restaurant.

A group of Bull-men and three Tiger-men faced off.

Surrounding them were many gossiping half-beasts, pointing and whispering, though many bore faces of sighs.

“Alas, those few clans ahead are lucky; in no more than ten years, their clan will surely be brimming with talents.”

“With talents, comes the confidence to become a great clan. Only then can you survive in this chaotic alien star system!”

“Too bad, the Tiger Clan and Lion Clan are so proud, they simply disdain other races.”

“Disdain my ass! Are they even a match? Who would fancy the other!?”

“That’s why, when such an opportunity arises, I would rush back immediately to drag widows over, but even then, I still missed the chance.”

“Indeed, four from the Pig Clan just went in; if they hit the jackpot, with the terrifying fertility of Pig-men, they’re going to strike it rich!”

“You’re telling me! Such an honor for our ancestors, how does it never fall upon us?”

“Now that Tiger-men have arrived, I guess there’s no hope left.”

“Sigh…”

“…”

Hearing the gossiping half-beasts’ discussion, the three Tiger-men were fuming with rage, humiliated! Deeply and utterly humiliated!!

The dignified Tiger Clan was actually dragged here by Bull-men to breed, and even to breed with Pig-men— if that wasn’t the utmost humiliation, then what was?

High-ranking half-beasts were very protective of their own genes, precisely to prevent mixing with other races and allowing their talent skills to be lost.

If that ever happened, the Royal Family’s status could very well be in jeopardy, or worse, usurped.

Thus, in Royal Families like the Tiger Clan and Lion Clan, there were strict rules against reckless behavior and fraternization.

If they ever did engage in such behavior, it could only be with their own kind, also as a way to increase their population.

But now, these Bull-men dared to brazenly capture members of their Tiger Clan and blatantly traffic them for breeding. How could they not be enraged?

“You’re all dead meat, our Tiger Clan will never let you Bull-men off the hook,” one of the Tiger-men said with an ashen face, evidently consumed by anger.

The Bull-men blinked their big cow eyes, a picture of innocence.

“Get lost, hurry up and release our Tiger Clan brothers,” another furious Tiger-man stepped forward, wanting to enter the Supreme Duck Shop to save them.

Yet the Bull-men’s expressions changed instantly, a terrifying killing intent swept out, “The King commanded that if anyone tries to enter the shop without paying, beat them to death!”

The three Tiger-men were taken aback, quickly retreating and getting ready for defense, not daring to barge in recklessly anymore.

They didn’t believe the Bull-men were just bluffing; after all, these were single-minded Bull-men who would carry out a task without the slightest discount, and wouldn’t even think to be flexible.

Now that they were just three, if they really confronted this group of Bull-men, even with their superior individual fighting abilities, they would still be beaten to death by the mob, so they truly didn’t dare to act rashly.

At that moment, a flippant voice came through, “Who is causing trouble in my duck shop?!”

The crowd looked curiously, but they were all stunned by what they saw—how could there be a human here?! And looking at the way Niu Qi was following him, why did it feel like he was an attendant?!

“You Bull-men are actually colluding with a human,” one of the Tiger-men shouted angrily, “Everyone, together! Kill these Bull-men who don’t know friend from foe.”

Hearing this, all the half-beasts present looked coldly at Wang Hao; the shame humans brought upon half-beasts had to be washed away with blood…
