Chapter 2887 Back in the Guild
"Supreme Leader, welcome back to headquarters!" Shouted the men in the
surrounding area, as Elders, Generals, and other important guild figures emerged from where they were.
They didn't hesitate to take flight and quickly move to the entrance area of the floating island.
After so many years without news of Minos, he had finally returned and everyone was naturally curious about his journey and, more importantly, what would happen from now on!
Minos didn't say anything, but his wives were a little surprised. It was even logical to think that this would happen, Minos' appointment as Supreme Leader wasn't the only exciting thing that had happened in his absence.
Seeing some of their old acquaintances and family members who had first moved in after their arrival in the area, the three of them understood that the Hell Lifelings had helped the family a great deal to reach the leadership of Armhands.
"It seems that Kendrick is now the leader figure in my absence!" Minos said with a smile, watching his son from afar, already flying towards him with a look of happiness on his face.
While the three women looked at their relatives, ignoring the Hell Lifelings and the high-level members of the guild, the Divine Dragon behind the four spotted some dragons there, but also a level 124 Supreme who was stronger than the Hell Lifelings. The old Supreme Leader of the guild, Jalai, had completed his advancement to level 124 in Minos' absence, having woken up from his seclusion 2 years ago when he found out about the changes guided by Juma and approved by the Council of Elders.
Being the first to arrive near where Minos was, Jalai took a deep breath with a smile on his face. "You almost beat me to it, Minos. Your cultivation speed really is impressive!" He said in a not at all displeased tone. It was clear that he didn't really understand the nature of Minos' talent, but the old guild leader didn't seem at all resentful, as one would expect from some in his position,
Minos looked at the man and nodded with a neutral gaze. "Senior Jalai. It's good to see you again." He greeted him with a handshake. "I hope my relatives haven't caused too much trouble in my absence. I say the same for the Hell Lifelings."
Seeing Minos' gaze on them, each of the Hell Lifelings - who now almost entirely had their free will in their grasp - shuddered, feeling the power of this individual's gaze. Jalai looked away and continued in his good humor, "Not at all, I've heard that they had their disagreements with Elder Navey, but that was decades ago and didn't hinder the guild in any way. Your family is the biggest contributor to Armbands, Minos. You're the ones who have the right to lead the force!"
"Hmm, I hope you'll continue to oversee the guild, Senior Jalai. I personally won't be staying long. Then continue your work alongside Kendrick. He's the one who will really take action around here.
The old guild leader looked at Minos differently, and asked, "Where are you going?" "Where we should be going. The Upper Realm." Minos said confidently, not bothering to hide it from such an important member of the guild.
"I figured that would be the case." Jalai remembered Minos' capabilities centuries ago, during the war against Firestone Mines, remembering how formidable this boy was when he was only a mid-level Sovereign. Now that he was a high-level Supreme, he didn't even try to imagine how strong Minos must be.
While Jalai thought in silence, Kendrick and the first group of Minos' relatives landed near where his newly arrived family was.
Kendrick had reached level 115 and become a Supreme, while most of their relatives who had arrived on the Zocarro in Callie and Vico's first post-travel group were all at the end of the 11th stage, between levels 112 and 114.
Hollie had not yet progressed a stage, but was at the absolute peak of level 114 when she hugged her mother in the middle of this important family reunion.
Minos, Ruth and Gloria smiled as they looked into the distance, seeing Rowan and Sarah in this place, both in the early part of the 11th stage, as was to be expected for newcomers to the guild after coming from the Spiritual World and The Adamant Land. But not only these two were there. Their spouses were there too, as well as the children Kendrick had had with Grisdi since Minos had left for Uzira.
Seeing their grandchildren, Minos and his wives had almost forgotten their perilous journey here. They saw in the youngest members of the family, as well as their children who had just arrived on the planet, the peace they had longed for.
They hadn't had the chance to live with their families as much as they would have liked. They were forced to miss part of their grandchildren's childhood, which went against what they wanted. That's why, more than ever, the four of them wanted to finish their journey of power and once and for all enter the Upper Realm.
If they had been in a hurry before, they were much more so now, thinking about how ascending to the next stage and entering the Upper Realm would give them everything they had lost.
After a few moments thinking about this while they greeted, hugged and commented on casual things with their family members, Minos pointed in the direction of the city, already walking to take the long conversation they were about to have to a more comfortable place.
"Everyone, it's good to see you again. It's good to be among you again. There are things I want to hear from you, about your journeys and the problems you've had in recent years. But I also have a lot to talk about. So let's go to the Council. This is not the place to have these conversations."
The men from the guild made way for them, with the Hell Lifelings wanting to get closer, but paralyzed by Minos' flames coursing through their bodies. Meanwhile, only Minos' family members managed to move, following behind or alongside him to the city on that floating island.
Jalai also followed them alongside the remaining Elders of the guild, like Segiel, who had already given her husband a strong hug and kiss after so long apart.
Segiel was at level 118, impressed by the growth not only of Minos but also of the three human women. But she wasn't sorry she had stayed behind. She had done what she wanted and helped Minos in her own way. Now, however, she no longer planned to
stay behind!
"I'll go with you when you leave Zocarro next time." She said to Minos, walking on his right side.
Minos smiled, but didn't object. "I was expecting to hear that."
"In that case, you should prepare yourself. We'll be in Zocarro for a month or two at most." Abby commented to herself, but was overheard by other members of her family. "Only that?" Maisie asked, not expecting her son's stay to be so short.
