Chapter 2885 Return to Zocarro
After recovering his previously lost power, Minos returned to the side of his group, immensely pleased with this help from the seraphim tribe. For the second time, this race was helping him to strengthen himself, now at an even more critical moment than during his previous passage through the dimension.
Minos knew that it could take centuries to recover all his recently lost power. So even though he hadn't advanced by absorbing today's set of seraphim wings, he was just as happy as if he had advanced a level.
He once again thanked the seraph in charge of the dimension, even more willing to comply with whatever the True Celestial behind that race might demand of him later. Minos didn't doubt that he could get into trouble for this, but the most important thing for him was his current problems. Once he entered the Upper Realm, his entire lineage would evolve and, even if he were to get into trouble, his relatives would be a step up from where they were today. The chances of them being able to protect themselves from their own problems would rise significantly and he would be able to pay more attention to his problems in a more individualistic and selfish way.
But he tried not to think about the costs of what he had obtained in this dimension. When he had finished what he had to do there, he didn't hesitate to tell the guardian of the dimension that it was time for them to part once again.
"I'll be traveling for the next few years to reunite my family and bring them here safely. But it shouldn't take long. In less than 10 years, I should be around to leave them in your care," Minos said, already flying alongside Seraph, followed by the rest of his group, returning to the dimension's entrance area.
"Do what you need to. The Seraphim will be waiting for your companions." The guy smiled as he showed no interest in delaying this group.
They didn't take long to cross the entire distance to the exit of the dimension, not talking much about other things, either. Arriving at the exit, the guardian simply wished Minos good luck and repeated that he would welcome his relatives.
Minos was in a hurry in this part of his life and left without looking back, moving on with his crew so that they could finally return to the Artificial Moon.
After several years of traveling through the vast universe, with several stops on planets, in the Hell itself, and situations that came close to threatening them, it was time to return home.
"I wonder how Kendrick and the girls are?" Abby asked her family as she settled into her seat in the cockpit of the spaceship.
They had already left the Seraphim Dimension and were flying at high speed on their way to Zocarro.
"I hope so. With the Hell Lifelings on their side, few could threaten them in Oqia." Gloria replied, shifting her gaze, thinking of the Hell Lifelings.
Looking at her red-haired harem sister, Abby imagined the worry that had just arisen in Gloria's mind. "Don't worry, they wouldn't betray us. Although they are no longer in my control, several of them have received the seals of Minos. Even with the loss of our crowns, his seals should still be active"
Minos confirmed to the reassurance of his group. "Indeed, they are. They know I'm fine."
That was enough to make them feel more comfortable, although it didn't completely rule out the possibility of problems.
"Anyway, we'll deal with whatever has developed over the last few years when we get to Oqia. There's nothing for us to do now but complete the two-year journey there.
Abby nodded, shifting her thoughts towards Uzira. "What about the rebel war? Mylecent has become a True Celestial... In fact, now that she's free of my dominance, she can compete to become a Devil, just like Vicente Fuller."
Minos smiled when he heard this. Vicente was his main bet in Hell, but if things went wrong with that boy, he still had Mylecent with a chance of ascending to the Throne of Hell.
In all honesty, Minos didn't expect Mylescent to reach such a position. That would be too much for her, considering her latent talent. But if everything went wrong with that dimension, she could be the last local piece he could use to gain contact and influence in Hell.
"Let's settle this war as well. We have to make sure that Zocarro is fully under our influence before we leave. This will be crucial if we are to control the passages between the planet and Hell and maintain a secure high-level base for our fellow companions on the Spiritual World," Minos said calmly, thinking of a future in which that planet would be like his own.
Minos didn't think of these things out of greed. He wanted to have control of Zocarro so that he would have a safe place for his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and not just family members, but old friends and fellow members of the Spirit World to grow up. As he was now, Minos knew that as long as he didn't get involved in a deadly confrontation, he would live for a long, long time, perhaps even infinitely. This was a crazy idea for him, who was only a few thousand years old at the moment. But he knew that, sooner or later, he would see most of the people he met on his journey die. Death was inevitable unless they advanced to the Upper Realm!
Because of this, even though he didn't have the fantasy that everyone could enter the Upper Realm on their own merit, he wanted to make it possible for his companions to at least go further than just level 100.
People like Dillian, Peter, Mia and so many others were unlikely to live forever. But with his help, they could live for hundreds of thousands of years and enjoy this great universe.
If they didn't want this chance, Minos wouldn't force them. But he wanted these people to have the possibility of choosing to go further. To this end, he wanted to have Zocarro in his domain, in particular Armhands, to facilitate the journey of those who chose to defy their mortalities.
Thinking about this, he couldn't help but smile to himself, visualizing the moment when his journey would be fulfilled and, even if he failed at something in the Upper Realm, the future would be guaranteed for his friends and family.
'I won't make the same mistake as Odibrand Redwound. Even if one day my lineage disappears, I will leave an eternal mark on this universe through my companions, their descendants, and a great legacy! Minos remembered this fellow, the target of the hatred of the level 124 soul fragment he had met in Uzira before the second phase of Devdar's inheritance.
On that journey through the universe, ending with their return to Zocarro, Minos had hunted down Odibrand Redwound's relatives who were not in Zocarro. He didn't kill anyone, but he ensured that every descendant of that cultivator became sterile. Minos intended to repeat the same in Zocarro, which, in a few millennia, with deaths due to old age or other factors, would guarantee the end of that ancient cultivator's
lineage.
And with that, he was ending most of his old promises and missions, leaving only what he had to deal with in the Upper Realm.
He was sure it would be a while before he entered the Upper Realm, so he sighed in relief, only having to look after his family, keep an eye on the Hell and prepare to meet
Forfex.
This was nothing to him. In the blink of an eye, he would be back in Zocarro to carry out his last steps before entering the Upper Realm!
