Chapter 1352  Final Preparations

The Reflection might not have known that his actions after many Minor Eras had transformed this realm from a dead wasteland to a star made from green flames and darkness, but even that darkness did not last for long as its final traces were soon covered up by the green flames.

His Undying Will had seeped into this dimension due to his dimensional powers that transcended what even Will should be capable of, and if this realm had a Will, the Reflection had become a part of it.

The Spear was on the verge of summoning the last wave of his new friends to complete the process of claiming it as the prize of cleansing the shame of the Primordial Demon when the Reflection stopped its action with a thought, as much as it would love to claim Bleeding Edge, it was not the right time for that.

Commandeering Bleeding Edge might lead to changes that as of this moment, he would not want, as it could drastically influence the plans for the future that his main body would have. There were many unknown variables to merging with a Primordial Weapon and the Reflection believed that he was much too weak to handle any of those changes if they arrived, it was better that this final part of the journey was seen to by his main body, he had done his best and prepared the road.

Battling with the spear for so long, he had already gained its recognition in a manner that simply possessing the spear would not give him, and he held off the last part of the merger as he looked at the world that his endless battles had created.

It was a thing of beauty. At a glance, everything might seem chaotic, but it was far from that. Since the terrain did not change even after a wave had ended, the Reflection came to use his surroundings as a weapon, every slight crack in the earth, every shift in the wind, and every spot of differing temperature were all carefully arranged by him to create a unique formation that he called a Living Formation, and the entirety of the realm became his chopping board, and the spear was his knife.

The realm was on the verge of destruction, and by all rights, it should have shattered into pieces a long time ago, but his Undying Will that had become a part of the realm had held it together.

Looking at the fruit of the endless years of battles, the Reflection sighed and he waved his hand as he slowly crushed them, dissipating them into the annals of history, perhaps one day his Living Formation may shine again.

He had to destroy it because, with so many changes across the realm, it was impossible that the World Stele would not find that things were amiss, and so the Reflection began to correct the things that he could, and because he had achieved his goals quicker than he thought, there was no reason to stop pushing for more and giving Rowan more advantages in the conflicts ahead.

One thing that the Reflection understood about what was to come would be the eventual resurrection of Thenos. His rise at this point was nearly inevitable if Rowan was to gain everything he needed for this realm.

The collaboration with the World Stele was maintained on the basis that Rowan would help the Singularity to resurrect Thenos, and as much as Rowan did not care about this unlucky immortal and would have helped if he was given enough benefits, the World Stele was duplicitous and there was a great possibility that Rowan would be disposed of, even if he did everything the World Stele needed from him to the best of his ability.

Also, he was not discounting the fact that if Thenos was a holder of a Singularity just like him, then cooperation between both of them was moot. There could be no two kings in one kingdom, the possibility of cooperation between them was a possibility that was so slim it would be impossible.

There was news of numerous holders of Singularities in the past, but never one where they cooperated with each other.

When the Primordial Demon killed Thenos, he tortured his body using the darkness of the Demon Lord that had been twisted by the Primordial with madness. Thenos had Celestial heritage, a creature of light, and there was no greater torture than to be tortured with darkness, especially one that had been corrupted. However, this was simply a side-note in the multiple ways of torture that the Primordial Demon had inflicted on Thenos.

What the Reflection intended to do was to continue on this track and push more of the darkness of Tenebris inside the corpse of Thenos. There could be no greater poison to the body of Thenos than this darkness, and if he was to be resurrected in the future, then this should create a great barrier to the process if not halt it in its entirety.

This process was already happening, but it was rather slow, and if he allowed it to follow the natural process, then when the World Stele returned, it was likely that it would be able to easily solve the problems of the Demon Lord's essence inside of Thenos's corpse since only a small part of the darkness would have entered the corpse.

The Primordial Demon had never intended for the darkness of Tenebris to be used in this manner, despite the heavy conditions it had placed down for its release, it was always made to be a source of Inheritance, and torturing Thenos was an extra benefit.

With all of this in mind, the Reflection began making active changes across the realm.

Pushing all the essence of Tenebris into the body of Thenos was difficult because even in death his corpse had extreme resistance against darkness, but the Reflection had also melded with the realm on a dimensional level and had merely taken over the corpse of the Siren, and it was a simple thing to drag the headless body of Thenos into the open womb of the sirens so that the injection of darkness could proceed faster.

The body was connected by an umbilical cord, and it was a direct avenue to pump corruption into the body of Thenos, breaking past the resistance that he might put up, and filling this being with darkness.

This process went on for many billions of years, and by now nearly ninety-nine percent of the Demon Lord's essence had tainted the corpse of Thenos, and it had reached a point where it was rather impossible to determine if Thenos was once a child of Light, as even the last spark of light had been covered by darkness. The Reflection had gone all out in this process.

The Moment he had been waiting for arrived with no warning, a feeling of heaviness unexpectedly settled over the consciousness of the Reflection and he knew that his time was over, the World Stele was about to arrive, and he became ecstatic because the decision he made to push ahead without holding back had been the right one, for the World Stele had returned much more quickly than he had previously announced to Rowan.

He had done everything that he could do to aid his main body, and to avoid being detected by the World Stele, the Reflection allowed the connection he had with the Siren to grow deeper to the extent that he lost himself, and for any other immortal, such a thing was close to suicide, but his Undying Will would never allow him to fall this easily, even if there was only a trace of it left, he would return one day when he was called.

Everything slowly ground to a halt, his consciousness dissipated, random thoughts stopped firing across his mind and his feelings dissipated, the spear had been shrunk until it was countless times smaller than an atom, and the materials that made it nearly impossible to be tracked with sight or any other senses assured the Reflection that this spear would escape the attention of the World Stele, and he expected that the next time he awakened it would be when Rowan had a falling out with the World Stele and he would be there to help, but Fate had other plans.
