Chapter 827 The Men's Talk.
(A few days later, The VIP manor)
*THUMP* *THUMP*
Leo and Luke stood overlooking the new construction taking place in their mansion, as they surveyed the work of the Arc Ship Staff.
"You shouldn't have spent all your MP points on doing something so stupid brother, those MP might have proved to be useful for you after you land—" Leo muttered, as Luke only ruffled his hair lovingly in response.
"I can always make more MP, but I can't bring back lost time. With this new phone line extended to our mansion, you can call mom daily while on house arrest.
I'm sure it will make both of you feel better" Luke said, as Leo fell silent at his words.
After finding out about his house arrest, Luke had spent all his MP to drag a phone line to their mansion, so that Leo could talk to their mother these next few months to their heart's content.
"Brother, my future once we land on Terra Nova does not look so good.
I'm in a world of trouble and may get separated from you all.
I don't need to say this, but please take care of Amanda and mom while I'm away" Leo said in a sombre voice, as the mood around him turned gloomy.
"Of Course you don't have to say this. Amanda is like family for me too, so of course I'll look after her.
And mom too, I'm not gonna trust Jacob to have her back, so don't worry, I'll take care of the family when you're not around" Luke assured, as Leo nodded in satisfaction.
His brother was a reliable warrior and a reliable man, and Leo felt content leaving the security of the family up to him, especially now that he was a master level warrior himself.
"Right, congratulations on hitting the master realm. I always knew you could do it–" Leo said, changing the topic, as Luke laughed a mirthless laugh.
"I thought master was the pinnacle of what one could achieve. Atleast, that's what it felt like while we were on the Arc Ship, however, now I know that it's just the beginning.
Once we land, it's the bare minimum to be considered a real warrior, so I can't be too happy with this…. I must improve a lot going forward" Luke said, as he scoffed in disappointment.
If this was a year ago, he would be over the moon to have reached the 'Master' realm, however, now that he knew the exact power scale of the universe, he understood that 'Master' warriors were not even worth noting in the grand scheme of things.
"What's your plan, once we land? Are you really going to trust this Mu Clan for sponsoring you? Do you think they can pull you out of trouble?" Luke asked, as Leo let out a long sigh at his question.
"I don't know brother…. I just know I won't let Kid cuff me after we land, no matter what, and if push comes to shove, I'll use [Vanish] [Blade Switch] [Mirror World] and every other skill in my arsenal to evade the authorities and escape the planet as a vigilante.
According to my understanding, there are many planets in the universe that are bandit hubs, not regulated by any faction.
So if the Mu Clan can't pull me out, I'll just become an outlaw until I can figure a way back into society….." Leo said, as listening to his response it was Luke who let out a long sigh.
Leo's decision at the end to warn all players about their impending future was a controversial one, with great consequences to his personal life.
On one hand, he had given all Earthlings a headstart on what was about to come.
But on the other, he had made himself public enemy number one of the Unity Government.
As a brother, Luke could not appreciate what Leo did, however, as an Earthling he was proud of him.
"According to some ex-clan members that I talked to within the game, a lot of workers have stopped listening to their superiors in the lower sectors.
There are daily tensions at the work stations there and the superiors literally have to threaten the players with evaluation reports that will reflect on their profile after they land, to keep them in line and working.
You have stirred the pot big time, and made the life of many people on the ship a living hell–" Luke reported, as Leo shrugged his shoulders in nonchalance.
He did what he thought was right, and did not care about what the consequences of his actions were.
"I've thought about this a lot…. And while I don't think they will target and heckle you to find out where I am, because I'm telling none of you where I'm going.
However, if they do….
My suggestion is that you take everyone and move to any planet that's governed by the Universal Government.
The Universal Government is the number one power in the Universe, and the Unity Government can cry all they like, but their jurisdiction ends if you can skip planets.
I'm not sure what troubles you may face upon landing, but this could be a viable plan to get to safety–" Leo suggested, as Luke looked towards the sky, his face littered with frown lines.
"Yeah…. Not a bad plan" he said, his voice heavy, as he tried to hold back the tears forming in his eyes.
The two of them could pretend like everything was normal, but it was not.
In a few months, their life was about to turn upside down once they landed and there was a high chance that they got seperated for the first time in their entire lives, with it being unknown as to when they will meet again.
"Just be safe Leo. It doesn't matter 2 years, 5 years. Or hell even 20 years.
Just make sure to come back to us when you can" Luke said at the end, as Leo gave him a side hug.
"Of course, what will I even do without you?" He replied, as the brothers concluded their conversation.
