Chapter 205 This Is A Warcrime!
Chapter 205 This Is A Warcrime!
"Mamma mia, I want to die! Aaaahhhh!"
The bald man screamed so loudly that the walls almost shook. He clutched his chest like he was having a heart attack, his face twisted in pure agony.
His whole body trembled as he dramatically dropped to his knees, staring up at the ceiling as if questioning every single life choice that had led him to this moment.
The entire room fell completely silent.
Workers stood frozen in place, holding equipment they had forgotten how to use.
Some covered their mouths, others looked away like they had just witnessed something too painful to acknowledge.
One guy in the corner slowly shook his head, as if he had given up on life itself.
The bald man finally turned back to Hugo with pure devastation in his eyes.
"This… this is the worst thing I have ever seen in my entire life!" he wailed. He grabbed his head in both hands, his fingers digging into his scalp.
"How can one man be so naturally horrible at posing?! This isn't modeling! THIS IS A WAR CRIME!"
Hugo stood there, his hands on his hips, breathing slightly hard from all the ridiculous, contorted poses he had just done.
He could feel the heat rising to his face.
This… this was humiliating.
His face burned with embarrassment. He had never felt so insulted in his life!
But at the same time—wasn't this THEIR fault?!
His right eye twitched.
'Didn't I say I had NO experience?!'
'Didn't I try to warn them?!'
'These guys literally dragged me in here, shoved me into this tight ass jacket, threw me in front of the camera, and then acted surprised when I sucked?!'
He sucked in a deep breath through his nose.
'Nope. Not my problem.'
I'm leaving.
Without another word, Hugo ripped off the stupid jacket like he was shedding the weight of this entire situation off his body. Then, without hesitation, he turned toward the exit.
"Alright, I'm done. See you guys never."
But just as he took one step—
Sanchez appeared like a phantom in front of him!
Hugo barely stopped himself from walking straight into him. He squinted. "Where the hell did you—"
"Hugo, hermano," Sanchez said smoothly, placing both hands firmly on Hugo's shoulders. "Where do you think you're going?"
"Home." Hugo scowled. "Where people actually appreciate me."
Sanchez chuckled nervously. "Now, now. Let's not be hasty."
"Hasty? HASTY?!" Hugo gestured violently at the devastated bald man, who was now being consoled by three workers as if someone had just died.
"Did you not hear that dude?! He just said my performance was a war crime. I think that legally means I should leave before the United Nations gets involved."
Sanchez exhaled sharply through his nose, his grip on Hugo's shoulders tightening. He looked like a father in law that wanted to deliver bad news in a Bollywood movie.
"Hugo, listen to me. You have to stay."
Hugo squinted. "Why?"
Sanchez hesitated. Then, with a sigh, he ran a hand down his face.
"Because… You know I've already bragged about you to some very important people. If you leave now, I'll look like an idiot. I need believable pictures of you actually modelling."
Hugo blinked. "And?"
Sanchez's smile twitched. He leaned even closer like he couldn't believe what he just heard. "And?!"
"Yeah. And?" Hugo folded his arms. "How is that my problem?"
Why didn't he find another better candidate to include into his crazy lies?! Why must it be him?!
And why the hell did he want to join this Elite society so bad!
Sanchez inhaled deeply through his nose. Then he exhaled slowly through his mouth, as if trying to find patience that did not exist.
"You don't get it, hermano. I'm trying to get into this exclusive private society. The kind where they only let in people with status, money, or connections."
Hugo raised an eyebrow. He already knew all this. "So?"
"So," Sanchez continued, "I told them I had a model, remember? A talented one."
Hugo sighed, looking bored. "…You told them what now?"
Sanchez clapped him on the back, smiling nervously. "I told them you were the next big thing."
Hugo just stared.
"...And we both know you lied to them!"
Sanchez shrugged. "I prefer the term 'early advertisement.'"
Hugo's lips pressed into a thin line.

He inhaled deeply.
Then exhaled.
Then, he turned on his heel. He would circle around this crazy cousin of his and leave his mansion.
"I'm leaving."
"Wait, wait, wait, wait!" Sanchez grabbed his arm before he could move. "Okay, okay, listen—I'll pay you!"
Hugo paused. Of course, money was the root of all evil... Or cooperations?
He slowly turned back, squinting. "How much?"
If the price was right, he wouldn't mind suffering through the embarrassment if it would make his 'dear cousin' happy.
Sanchez smirked. "Two thousand."
Hugo folded his arms. "Make it five."
Sanchez's jaw dropped. "FIVE?! Hugo, that's insane—" He hurriedly stopped himself and made a counter bid.
"Three thousand."
"Six."
Sanchez's eye twitched. "Hugo, I swear—"
"Six and a half."
"FOUR."
"Six."
"Four and a half—"
"Six."
Sanchez took a long, slow breath through his nose.
He rubbed both hands down his face.
Then, finally... "Fine. Six. You win cuz."
Hugo's face lit up with victory.
"Pleasure doing business with you."
Sanchez grumbled furiously under his breath as he pulled out his phone to send the money. Meanwhile, Hugo had a moment of realization.
Wait a minute.
'I just made six thousand dollars… for standing around looking stupid. I just made more in one hour than some people make in a month.'
His eyes flickered with greed.
…Should he?
Should he… buy the modeling mastery after all?
He had planned to ignore it because he thought this gig was just a one-time thing. But now? Now he was getting PAID.
Not just paid—paid WELL.
If he actually got good at this, he could milk these rich weirdos for even MORE money!
Hugo rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
Should I invest in my future?
