Chapter 796: Chapter 790: Are these damned interstellar pirates? (Part Two)

This was not a battle of equals, to put it simply, it was like a frontline warship which still needed scout ships, and cruisers. However, a first-class warship did not require those, not because it was stronger, but because it had two scout ships and a cruiser onboard.

The size gap between the two sides was that vast, let alone the difference in weaponry. The power of their main guns was simply incomparable. Their main guns could not possibly break through the enemy’s shield, although the enemy’s main guns wouldn’t destroy their warships with a single shot.

But they certainly wouldn’t withstand the second shot. Most importantly, the shield could only protect against one shot from the enemy’s main gun at best. Without the shield, relying solely on the armor of the warship? Do they think this is some ancient sea battle?

When the armor could be directly attacked, it was no different from crashing.

Therefore, when they saw the enemy had three first-class warships, they lost all confidence. If the enemy had three warships like theirs, they might still struggle. But now, three first-class warships were like an adult beating a baby, there was no suspense.

Even worse, they were fully prepared for protective measures in advance, making the situation even more hopeless. That’s why Mussell Evans surrendered so readily. Everyone agreed quickly. Mussell’s fleet directly shut off all its warp engines and light-speed main engines. All kinds of shields were already switched off.

In interstellar war, this is a symbol of surrender because it means you have lost any ability to flee or protect yourself. Seeing the enemy give up running and protection, Lucy Watson directly waved her hand. A first-class warship immediately activated its engine and quickly approached.

“Are we only left with robots?” Lucy Watson asked helplessly.

Jasmine Davis shrugged, “I hate to admit it, but including your people and my people, we only have six hundred thousand people in total. The standard configuration of a first-class warship, if all were human, would be a fleet of a hundred thousand. Of course, if we include mobile troops, its maximum capacity could reach 1.2 million.”

“Unfortunately, we don’t have that many troops now. We’ll have to make do with robots.” Jasmine Davis said helplessly.

“Well, robots it is then. We have no other choice,” Lucy Watson was almost speechless. But after thinking about it, it was inevitable. Firstly, interstellar war was unlike modern warfare; in an interstellar battle, once a warship was destroyed, there would hardly be any survivors. The number of people who could escape on lifeboats was minimal.

Soon, Mussell and his people were captured by robot-controlled mechs and brought onto a destroyer. The number of crew a warship can carry refers to the quantity of combat personnel, not its maximum capacity. Besides, there weren’t many people on Mussell’s warship.

Many non-essential positions were controlled by robots, while the remaining people were gathered on one destroyer. Right after Mussell and his crew were taken over, a warp signal suddenly appeared next to them, which immediately attracted Mussell’s attention.

Lucy Watson was not surprised at all because the G2 fleet had just reported that the enemy had surrendered. They had captured them all. Soon, Mussell met with his own men.

“Luna Starfield, please modify the main control AI of those two main warships, and take control of the other warships and connect them to our fleet command center,” Lucy Watson issued the latest order.

“Yes.” For Luna Starfield, multitasking wasn’t hard at all.

Jasmine Davis has entirely delegated authority now, and was not only operating, but also learning- learning a lot of things.

Soon, Mussell and his crew were rushed onto a cruiser, while the two main warships were sent to other locations under direct control. The remaining cruisers, destroyers, and supply ships were all gathered together.

“Connect me to Barry’s communication channel,” Lucy Watson said decisively.

When Mussell was sent out, Barry felt restless, but he didn’t expect the situation to reach its conclusion so quickly, and it wasn’t a good one at all. When the communication was connected again and the jubilant woman on the screen waved and said, “Chief Barry, thank you for the two main warships you delivered. I really like this gift. As for the remaining ships, not so much.”

With Lucy Watson’s words, before Barry could respond, a scene appeared on the communication channel. Looking at the cruiser and destroyers hit together, and recognizing his clan’s emblem on the warship, Barry was naturally acquainted.

After that, three massive warships appeared in the scene, and seeing these three warships triggered general commotion because of their colossal size and terrifying main guns. These were the supreme lords of interstellar warships – first-class warships.

But before they could recover from the shock of seeing the first-class warships, they saw the main guns of the three first-class warships in the scene emit a blinding light. Then three dazzling beams of light tore through the darkness of space. And the parked cruiser and destroyers in that space were directly destroyed by those three main guns.

Without any surprise, even if they had activated their shields, they wouldn’t be able to withstand a full-power shot from a first-class warship. The tremendous explosion instantly lit up the whole starry space. It was a spectacular scene, apart from the absence of sound.

But Barry and the others twitched at the corners of their mouths for a simple reason – those were their clan’s warships.

“Chief Barry, I wonder if we can still negotiate our deal” The scene quickly returned to Lucy Watson’s command bridge. Looking at Lucy Watson, Barry’s face was unspeakably ugly. After a long while, he finally started, “Who are you, anyway?”

“Black Rose Space Pirates,” Lucy Watson said curtly.

“You’re a liar! Since when do pirates have first-class warships? I don’t believe pirates can afford first-class warships,” Barry was furious.

But no matter how angry he was, it was useless because by now their fleet had been utterly destroyed. Even without thinking, Barry knew that with three first-class warships, any retaliation from their fleet would be suicide. That was unspeakable.
