Chapter 786: Chapter 780: Who is the Idiot? (Part 2)

“Your Highness, I truly wish to follow you. As a worthy follower, I should prove my worth.” Marlon hesitated for a moment, but answered according to his initial thoughts. After all, if Finn asked this, it meant that he was far from a fool and was worth following.

“I believe you’ll find your choice today to be the right one.” Finn chuckled and turned his attention away from Marlon, directly asking, “Luna Starfield, is the contract finalized? Do I have the clause that I wanted?”

“Yes, Your Highness. If the other party fails to deliver within the contract period, it means they’ve defaulted. Given you’re from the Nine-Star royal family, should you go to the Federal Procuratorate and court, your advantage is absolute. Whoever attempts to sue will fail. A thousandfold compensation, especially 100 billion star credits, will certainly be yours.” Luna replied concisely.

“Has the position of that batch of scrap warships been located?” Finn nodded in acknowledgement.

“It’s been confirmed. I’ve hacked into the Aitken family’s main control network and found the storage warehouse for that batch of goods.”

“Help me contact Jasmine Davis.” Finn nodded again and ordered.

“Your Highness,” Jasmine Davis quickly appeared before Finn. At the moment, Davis was donned in military attire, looking quite imposing. With no worries now and commanding a first-class warship, stronger than the Federation’s main first-class warship – what more could one say?

“Hmm, I will now assign the other 90 first-class warships under me to you, along with the remaining first-class supply ships and second-class transport ships. As for the people learning from you, regardless of whether they’ve learned anything, you have a task now,” Finn casually commanded.

Upon hearing the term first-class warship, Marlon’s pupils dilated in shock. The numbers that Finn then mentioned stupefied Marlon. 90 first-class warships? This was practically on par with an Inspectorate fleet!

In the entire Federation, aside from the nine major royal family surnames, no other royal family possesses such a powerful fleet. How could this be possible? If this were true, it would mean that this prince’s power is… Marlon dared not to continue the thought. Suddenly, he recalled Finn’s words, along with that contract.

“Luna Starfield, send over the warehouse location. Jasmine Davis, destroy that warehouse for me, and stir up trouble around this Aitken family. Do not allow any large transport ships to enter for three months. Can you do it?” Finn asked seriously.

“No problem. Leave it to me, Your Highness.” Davis immediately responded.

“Alright, that settles it.” Finn nodded, then cut off the communication. He had done all this in front of Marlon to give him some confidence – acquiring a competent follower was not an easy task.

“Your Highness, what was that just now?” Marlon asked, somewhat puzzled – there was a vast discrepancy in Finn’s behavior before and after.

“Nothing really. If one wishes to expand their power swiftly, they must attract followers with benefits. Isn’t the world driven by interests?” Finn chuckled.

‘Interests move hearts’ – with that, Finn had stated the crux of the matter. To Marlon, however, Finn’s statement invoked a slight fear. He had anticipated Finn to be capable, but now Marlon realized Finn is more than just capable.

With such strategizing and calculation, the nobility attending the lord’s academy are mere underlings; they’re probably going to be manipulated till death.

When Marlon thought of the fat man, he couldn’t help but offer a moment of silence for him. Damn, he messed with a prince and actually thought the prince was a fool. It’s unclear who the real fool will be. Probably, by that time, the fat man will want to die.

Does the fat man’s family have more than 100 billion star credits? Marlon estimated they could fork up the money, but it would likely bankrupt the family. How much they could retain was unknown – unless Suleiman Cooper steps in.

However, Cooper could not intervene; only the Rochefort family would be capable. Otherwise, it would be impossible to compensate this much. But why would the Rochefort family foot the bill for such a minor matter? They wouldn’t care about it.

Marlon, however, didn’t need to worry about this. These matters would naturally be handled by Finn. “Yes, Your Highness is wise. It seems I’ve been worrying too much.” Marlon hesitated for a moment before choosing to keep his thoughts to himself. He had wanted to say that even though interests move hearts, the price Finn was paying seemed too high for such a minor matter.

Moreover, the people here did not hold any genuine power; they were merely heirs within their respective families. Shaoning Locke and others were in the same boat. Truth be told, if any of the heirs were to die by accident, while the major families might react, they wouldn’t be heartbroken. There were plenty of heirs – they wouldn’t be overly concerned about losing one.

Of course, each family had its mechanisms. The nine major royal families were no exception, having even stricter systems. Marlon didn’t know about this, but given the substantial price that Finn was paying, he couldn’t guarantee any significant returns. Yet, based on Finn’s performance, since Finn had already spoken, all Marlon could do was observe Finn’s performance.

For Marlon, it didn’t matter what happened to Finn. As long as Finn wasn’t a fool, he could overlook the rest. If Finn wasn’t a fool, his starting point would be much higher. This was a chance for Marlon.

Since everything was out in the open with Marlon, Finn simply chuckled and said nothing more, signaling Luna Starfield to speed towards his villa. Truth be told, had Marlon not performed as well today, Finn wouldn’t have let him witness all this. If word of this got out, it would heavily affect Finn’s plan. At the very least, no one would believe in his innocent image anymore.
