“I’m saying you make sense, I’ll buy it.” Finn Lewis simply stated.
At Finn’s words, a hint of ecstasy immediately spread across Albin’s face. He said hastily, “Yes, yes, your highness, how many do you want?”
“What’s the price?”
“Your highness, although I dare not say that the performance of this detection satellite is the best, it is absolutely excellent. I’ll give you one for 50,000 yuan each.” Albin responded immediately.
“Hmm, a bit expensive.” Finn frowned.
“Your highness, I’ll offer you a discount of 20% off, 40,000 yuan each.” Albin said quickly.
“So how many do you think I need?” Finn looked at him and asked again.
“It all depends on your ambition, your highness. But for initial detection, probably 100 to 500 satellites will suffice.” Albin hinted while looking at Finn.
“That’s too few, give me….” Finn spoke without hesitation, waving his hand. But his words were abruptly cut off before he could specify the number.
“Wait, your highness.” Marlon Murray on the side couldn’t help but interrupt.
“What’s wrong?” Finn turned to look at Marlon.
“Your highness, their products are not worth this price.” Marlon spoke quickly and then turned to Albin without hesitation. “Gavroche, you have the audacity to sell your junk satellites at such high prices? 40,000? Have you no shame?”
“Our satellites are not junk, they don’t top the line, but their performance is certainly not lacking.” Albin rebutted loudly with wide eyes.
“Their performance isn’t lacking? All right, then tell me, just how good is the ‘not lacking’ performance you’re talking about? Can it even rank average within the entire Federation?” Marlon disparagingly replied.
“Why can’t it?” Albin’s voice was noticeably quieter and less confident as he spoke.
“Here’s another chance for you. Would you sell them for 30,000 each?” Marlon directly put forth.
“Uh…Yes! I’ll sell them for 30,000! But I have one condition, your highness. Your purchase must not be less than 1000 satellites!” Albin replied quickly.
“I want 100,000!” Finn nonchalantly stated.
Albin choked on his own saliva, “Your..Your highness…you…you said 100,000?”
“Yes, 100,000. Is there a problem?” Finn asked casually.
“No…no problem.” Albin’s voice had changed; he was so excited, he could hardly speak. A hundred thousand satellites…That’s 30 billion coins! The profit he’d make from this transaction would reach into the hundreds of millions!
Even at 30,000, he would still make a profit!
“Your highness, we don’t need so many.” Marlon seemed anxious.
“It’s fine, we can save them for later, just deploy denser satellite coverage. This could have its advantages.” Finn tossed out casually.
Marlon was speechless, as were everyone else present. They never imagined that someone would make a deal with Finn Lewis, and the transaction was…actually successful. Even if Marlon hadn’t intervened, the deal likely would have gone through, even at the price of 40,000.
He certainly was a spendthrift as rumored… He didn’t even bargain when buying items! One hundred thousand satellites, were you going to eat them?! Albeit Gavroche’s detection satellites were not really good, they still boasted considerable power. For a rich family’s territory, even if it’s hundreds of times larger than Finn’s domain, they would at most use 10,000 satellites! You used 100,000…Were they for breeding?
“Hmm, let me calculate, 30,000 each for 100,000 satellites, so it’s 3 billion coins, right?” Finn asked Albin.
“Yes, your highness,” Albin replied, his excitement palpable.
“Okay, 3 billion star credits. I’ll have my personal AI transfer the funds to you,” Finn spoke with finality.
Not just Albin, but everyone around was stunned by hearing this. Albin had almost choked on his own saliva.
At this point, Marlon almost fell over, “Wait, your highness, it’s not star credits, it’s federal coins!” Marlon bit his lip, quickly correcting. Could you stop scaring me?! 3 billion star credits, for heaven’s sake! Marlon felt a strain on his heart.
The people around were just about as taken aback. My goodness, casually throwing around 3 billion star credits. Just how obscenely rich could someone be?! Anyone who could casually blow away 3 billion star credits must have a wealth of how much? 30 billion? No one would carelessly spend a tenth of their wealth, right? Everyone had a tangible experience of the immense wealth of Finn Lewis again!
“Is it that cheap?” Finn looked at Marlon in surprise, evident that he wasn’t pretending. But if Luna Starfield could express emotion, he’d be amazed at Finn’s act now. This acting ability, you could almost call it Oscar-worthy! Did Finn not know the real price of these things? Impossible! Even if Finn didn’t know, Luna Starfield would have reminded him, but since Luna Starfield didn’t say anything, of course, Finn would know.
Cheap…The crowd was left at a loss for words, only to hear Finn continue.
“I didn’t realize it was so cheap. It seems I misunderstood you. Since it’s federal coins, use the original price you quoted. No need for a discount, count it as 50,000 each, totaling 50 billion federal coins, or 500 million star credits, right? It’s okay if I transfer star credits to you, right? I don’t have federal coins, only star credits.” Finn stated succinctly.
Everyone was flabbergasted. Everyone felt that their brains couldn’t keep up. Many people looked at Finn like he was a human block of gold. Never have they experienced a deal where the buyer voluntarily raised the price.
Did they call you foolish, or impressive? But regardless, Finn had said it, and Albin was at a complete loss for words. Finn, in front of everyone, called over Albin’s personal AI to make the transfer.
500 million star credits were transferred just like that. The moment Albin saw the notification on his personal AI, his mind went blank. To this day, he still felt like he was dreaming.
