Chapter 247: Chapter 248: Challenging the Instructor
“Look, someone is challenging the instructor,” someone shouted.
Upon hearing this, crowds gathered around, and even several instructors joined in.
On this training field, several classes from the Finance Department were having military training alongside several classes from the Foreign Languages Department. Li Ruobing was among them. Despite wearing plain camouflage, her tall stature and outstanding beauty couldn’t be hidden. Her proud chest, tied back in a ponytail, delicate features, and captivating and clear eyes stole the show. Her camouflage pants perfectly accentuated her shapely rear, creating a striking image.
“Ruobing, let’s go and see!” a male student hurried over.
“What’s there to see?” Li Ruobing pouted.
“I heard a guy is challenging an instructor,” said the boy excitedly. “This is going to be a good show.”
“Who would be so bored as to do that?” Li Ruobing asked.
“They say it’s this year’s top scholar from the college entrance exam!” the boy said excitedly.
“What?!” Li Ruobing exclaimed. “Isn’t that Xiao Han?”
“Yes, seems so,” the boy nodded.
Whoosh…
Li Ruobing ran towards the crowd. Any news about Xiao Han grabbed her attention. Not having seen Xiao Han for two days, Li Ruobing realized she missed him. Hence, hearing his name, she immediately rushed over.
Xiao Han and the instructor had already taken their stances. The crowd was packed tightly around them, three layers deep.
Li Ruobing squeezed through the crowd. She kept pushing forward to the very front. Once there, she saw that it indeed was Xiao Han. Xiao Han stood upright, while the instructor had assumed a martial arts stance, fists raised high and legs spread in a combat position.
“Xiao Han, you can do it!” Li Ruobing screamed at the top of her lungs.
“Go Xiao Han!” the crowd also shouted.
The instructor seemed impatient and asked coldly, “Are you ready?”
“I’ve been ready, just waiting on you,” Xiao Han retorted unexpectedly.
“Hehe…” the instructor sneered and swiftly advanced.
The instructor’s martial arts moves were simple and direct, aiming to be lethal. The instructor tried multiple times to lock in a stranglehold but failed. Frustrated, he decided to get serious.
“Ha!”
The instructor roared, leaping with one leg slicing down from mid-air.
Xiao Han dodged left and right, easily evading the attack. To the spectators, it seemed like Xiao Han was merely avoiding, making them think his chances were slim. At first glance, the instructor was on the offensive, so they believed his chance for victory was higher.
At this moment, Zhang Feng shouted, “Xiao Han, show him what you’re made of!”
Li Ruobing watched in agony as Xiao Han seemed to be constantly chased by the instructor, filling her with worry that Xiao Han might inadvertently get hit.
Suddenly, Xiao Han countered.
Bang…
Xiao Han’s beautifully executed Roundhouse Kick would definitely score high points.
The kick landed forcefully on the instructor’s chest, causing him to stagger back several steps and then heavily fall to the ground.
“Great!” The crowd screamed excitedly. For the students of the first Finance class, it was a release of their frustration, and for the onlooking crowd, it was thrilling to see a student defeating an instructor, a moment of pride.
At that point, the instructor’s face turned a purplish hue as he staggered to his feet and said, “I didn’t expect you to be so capable. Well then, it’s time for me to show my signature moves. Just you wait!”
Having said that, the instructor took off his jacket, revealing a military-green vest that accentuated his muscular build, adding to the excitement and anticipation.
Xiao Han smiled slyly, “Bring out whatever real skills you have, or it’ll be embarrassing if you have to crawl under my legs later.”
“Damn it!” the instructor roared and charged furiously. His punches and kicks were like thunder, each aimed to kill.
However, the instructor was rather slow, especially under Xiao Han’s constant vigilance. Xiao Han was able to clearly capture every move of the instructor’s, learning almost half of the instructor’s martial arts skills.
Xiao Han’s lips curled slightly. As the instructor charged at him, Xiao Han swiftly jumped up, delivering a fierce kick to the instructor’s thigh. It was a powerful blow to a vulnerable part of the body, likely causing serious injury.
Thud…
The instructor fell to the ground, stirring up dust.
The instructor clutched his thigh, his face darkened in pain as he struggled to get up, appearing still willing to fight. However, Xiao Han chuckled, “Instructor, you’ve lost your combat power, you’re limping and without a couple of days’ rest, your leg won’t recover.”
“Did Xiao Han win?” Li Ruobing covered her eyes, peeking through her fingers.
“He won!” a girl nearby nodded, tears streaming down her face. The scenes had been too thrilling, and the fact that Xiao Han had managed to win despite always seeming to flee was unbelievable.
Li Ruobing was dumbfounded.
“No, you haven’t won yet,” the instructor said with a dark face, “As long as I don’t fall, you don’t win.”
Xiao Han walked over slowly and said, “You’ve almost lost your combat power, what else is there to say? Do you really want me to knock you down?”
“You can’t necessarily defeat me!” The instructor said through clenched teeth and charged forward rapidly.
Fists and feet added together, he struck rapidly.
Unfortunately, he had injured a leg; his mobility was already slow, now it was almost tortoise-like. Xiao Han easily dodged, grabbed the instructor’s arm with one hand, and twisted it behind his back.
“Humph,” Xiao Han scoffed coldly, “You lose!”
“Bullshit!” the instructor roared. Ignoring the dislocated pain, he struck back rapidly with a counter kick.
Smack!
Xiao Han quickly released his hold, stacked his palms, and then blocked the attack. The kick was powerful, Xiao Han felt the force transmitted through his palms, almost shattering his arms.
Xiao Han let out a breath; he breathed deeply, “This is a dying struggle.”
“Humph!” The instructor snorted coldly, and charged decisively again.
However, Xiao Han gave him no opportunity. Clenching his fists, his punches thundered down, nearly perfect martial arts moves. This time, Xiao Han used martial arts moves to combat the instructor. The instructor managed to block two moves before Xiao Han’s iron fist sent him flying.
Splat…
Bloody saliva sprayed out, his nose was smashed crooked, and blood spurted from it.
Clatter…
The crowd was in an uproar; they couldn’t believe that their instructor, seen as the War God, the Guardian of the nation, had been defeated by an ordinary student.
“You lose!” Xiao Han said with a cold laugh.
“No!” The instructor, ignoring the pain, got up again and said, “I haven’t lost!”
Xiao Han’s expression faltered; despite being beaten to this extent, he still refused to admit defeat. Perhaps it’s a stubborn streak in his bones. Or maybe he inherited the excellent traditions of the People’s Liberation Army, the gene of preferring death to surrender.
The instructor stood up, limping but still clenching his fists as he walked toward Xiao Han.
Xiao Han’s expression darkened, “Are you pushing me?”
“I cannot possibly lose!” The instructor clenched his teeth and said, “You only see me dead in battle, not surrendering!”
Bang!
Xiao Han delivered a fierce Roundhouse Kick to the opponent’s head. With that kick, the instructor fell heavily to the ground like a rotten log. He didn’t get up again this time.
Hiss…
Everyone gasped, staring at Xiao Han in shock. No one could believe that Xiao Han had turned the instructor into a beaten mess. Their looks were of utter disbelief.
The instructor struggled faintly; he lifted his head, his expression resolute: “I haven’t lost!”
“Stand up if you can,” Zhang Yi scoffed.
“I would rather die than surrender,” the instructor said fiercely, “because I am a soldier.”
After saying this, the instructor passed out. Xiao Han felt somewhat moved on hearing this. Was this the spirit of all soldiers? Preferring to die rather than be humiliated. Especially not to crawl between someone’s legs? If he had crawled under his own legs today, his return could be even worse.
Seeing this, the other instructors immediately carried him away. They seemed accustomed to such situations. After all, they were army people. Small-scale conflicts often happened in the army, especially with older soldiers bullying the new ones; it was quite the norm. Fighting between old and new soldiers was also nothing out of the ordinary.
However, this instructor was driven away by Xiao Han, leaving the Finance Department Class One without an instructor.
Lan Yudie, upon hearing the news, hurried to the training ground.
The students from Class One stood triumphantly in the shade of the trees cooling themselves, while students from other classes were still training.
“What happened?” Lan Yudie asked coldly.
Dressed in light blue sportswear, with a ponytail revealing her fair neck and snow-white skin—her angry expression was still incredibly endearing. At that moment, Xiao Han stepped forward and said, “It’s my fault, I shouldn’t have fought with the instructor.”
“You actually fought with the instructor?” Lan Yudie said in shock.
“Yes!” Xiao Han nodded and then said, “I knocked the instructor unconscious.”
Hiss…
Lan Yudie almost passed out. She said incredulously, “You… you actually knocked the instructor unconscious? Are you crazy?”
“Teacher, it’s not Xiao Han’s fault,” the girl who was harassed earlier quickly stood up. She earnestly and meticulously explained the whole cause and effect. Lan Yudie wasn’t stupid; she knew such situations occurred. During her own military training, Lan Yudie had also encountered a lecherous instructor and they had to replace him with a female instructor before it was settled.
