“I’m a student of Linjiang City No. 1 High School,” Xiao Han replied politely.
Li Ruobing took Xiao Han to the Finance Department, and upon entering Xiao Han’s information, the clerk said with a smile, “Xiao Han, as the national top scorer, according to Principal Chen’s instruction, your tuition for all four years is waived. So, you don’t need to pay any tuition.”
“Okay then,” Xiao Han immediately nodded in agreement.

“This is the male dormitory, who let you in?” The guy emerged from the bathroom wearing long johns and shirtless, his face beet red. Although he was embarrassed by Li Ruobing’s beauty, the situation was awkward for him.
Li Ruobing bit her red lip and said, “I’m the head of the Reception Department. I’m here to show the new student to his dorm.”
The guy glanced at Xiao Han and pursed his lips, “Buddy, your name is…?”
“I’m Xiao Han!” Xiao Han offered his hand for a handshake.
The guy was taken aback, “You… you’re Xiao Han? The top scorer of the college entrance exam? And you got a perfect score, no less!”
“Heh heh, that would be me!” Xiao Han nodded.
“Oh my, I can’t believe it!” The guy excitedly shook Xiao Han’s hand. “I’m Liu Bin. Never thought I’d be sharing a room with the top scorer. Wow, I really didn’t expect it.”
“Are you the first one here?” Xiao Han asked curiously.
“Sure am!” Liu Bin nodded eagerly. “I arrived yesterday, and the school settled me in here. Xiao Han, what major are you in?”
“Finance Department!” Xiao Han replied.
“Whoa, you’re gonna be the talent in the national finance industry!” Liu Bin, standing around five foot seven and almost a head shorter than Xiao Han, looked up and said, “You’ll be fighting in the currency wars for the country. Damn, the National Currency’s value has been falling recently. Not a good sign, definitely speculatory manipulation by Imperialism causing trouble for us.”
“Ha ha…” Xiao Han laughed.
For Xiao Han, his choice to study finance was mainly to make money. He had researched the extraordinary relationship between math and finance, so he was quite clear on what he wanted—money. What if he could apply math to making money? The only way was to major in finance, and that way, he’d make money.
“Xiao Han, I should go now…” Li Ruobing said, seeing the two hitting it off.
