Chapter 109 Cabin Under Fire
Chapter 109 Cabin Under Fire
"Arthur," Sara called.
Arthur turned his head when a woman's voice called out to him loudly. He looked back and saw Sara's face covered in worry and anxiety.
As the captain of the 13th squad that knew the three people well, Sara knew and understood what their attitudes were like.
Yet the three of them feared only one thing, death. That was why their faces were deathly pale when Arthur threatened them.

The second option sounded safer to them, but wandering around on this floor without a strong man to protect them was the same as looking for death.
"What's the matter, Sara?" asked Arthur, flatly.
"Please mercy them. Let them return to the 13th squad," pleaded Sara, Arthur responding with a squint.
"I can't. I can no longer trust them. What's the point of being in a group with these people?" Arthur asked.
Sara gasped, never expecting that Arthur could be stubborn when it came to his fate and life. Morgan looked to the side, seeing Hana and Nolan terrified by Arthur's threat of death.
The man realized that he had dragged Hana and Nolan to their deaths. At first, he thought he could defeat Arthur with the three combined powers. But he never expected that Arthur's power was much stronger than theirs.
"Decide now, or I'll decide the fate of your life!" snapped Arthur, glaring ahead.
"I-I... I don't know. I'll take the second option!" said Hana, hesitating until she was finally convinced.
"They'll rape and kill you if you go alone. I'll go with Hana!" said Nolan.
Arthur cleared his throat. He glanced aside to look at Morgan intently. Of the three, Morgan was the only one who hadn't answered.
The man clicked his tongue in frustration, beginning to confess something in hopes of getting Hana and Nolan back into the 13th squad.
"I provoked Hana and Nolan to hate you. Neither of them had any apparent reason to do so. It was just my compulsion because of my pure hatred of you!" said Morgan.
"If you want to punish us, then punish me! Hana and Nolan are innocent."
Arthur glanced at Hana and Nolan. During this death threat, they actually showed expressions of fear and worry, unlike Morgan, who looked at Arthur with hatred and anger. Now, the situation was a dilemma. Arthur didn't know how to respond to Morgan's statement.
"No! All three of you are still guilty. You are guilty of provoking Hana and Nolan, and they are guilty of cooperating with you to kill me," Arthur replied.
"That's enough. I will not kill you. You should get out of here and protect yourselves."
Arthur released all three from the grip of the extreme pressure of his secondary talent. Morgan was able to free himself, as were Hana and Nolan. Arthur waved his hand, ordering Morgan and the two people to leave the place.
Sara couldn't bear to let them leave this place. She tried to walk forward and persuade Arthur to let them return.
However, Arthur shook his head. If they returned to the 13th squad, there would only be endless fighting happening.
"It's best for them," Arthur said.
"If they're lucky, they can survive until another cross-floor travel arises. If not...."
"If not, then what?" asked Sara, curious while holding both Arthur's hands.
"They'll die horribly, either by Night Liberators or wild monsters."

The next day.
Wooden cabin in the forest.
The situation inside the cabin was much more conducive. Karen and Mona slowly began to accept Aaron's presence in their lives, as did Sara. Still, Sara was anxious about the three people.
She wondered about where they were now? What were they doing? Were they starving or not? These questions continued to haunt Sara's mind. Arthur noticed Sara's attitude, he asked Karen to always be by her side.
Arthur and Mona went out to look for two important things; Arthur was looking for firewood, while Mona was looking for fruits to eat.
Although they were looking for two different things, Arthur didn't want to take any risks. He stayed with Mona while she looked for fruits, and so did Mona with Arthur.
"Is this enough?" asked Mona, showing a wooden basket full of fruit, such as apples, berries, bananas, and small watermelons.
Arthur nodded. It was more than enough since they had also bought raw food supplies earlier. Mona smiled happily when Arthur appreciated it.

The young man gasped in surprise when he saw a deactivated servant panel before him. He squinted and directed his eyes towards the wooden cabin quite far from Arthur's current position.
"This is bad!" said Arthur.
"What's wrong?" asked Mona, worried by the intense response on Arthur's face.
"The servant assigned to guard the cabin has been deactivated. There is a possibility that someone or a monster has attacked the cabin," explained Arthur.
Arthur gathered some firewood and left with Mona, returning as quickly as possible to the log cabin. It took Arthur about half an hour to get there, but it would take a lot of time.

Arthur dropped all his firewood and carried Mona in his arms. To Mona's surprise, Arthur took her flying using his talent. Now, the journey from his location to the log cabin was much faster.
In the distance, they could see black smoke and flames rising from the log cabin location. Arthur stopped flying, hovering in the sky with the burning log cabin. From there, Arthur didn't feel Sara and Karen's energy fluctuations.
Arthur dropped Mona from the sky as his head wandered around the surrounding area, curious as to where Sara and Karen had gone. Mona tried to put out the fire before her with the water from the old well near the house.
"What exactly happened?" asked Arthur.
Some parts of the cabin had been managed to be extinguished. Mona was distracted when she saw a cloth bearing the Night Liberator's flag half burned on the spot. Mona showed it to Arthur.
"Could this be the work of the Night Liberators?" Mona asked.
"If it was the Night Liberators, how did they find us?" asked Arthur, standing on the ground.
"Is it possible that they scouted us first?" asked Mona, Arthur shook his head.
If the Night Liberators were scouting, Jack would easily know where and what they were doing. Arthur would also notice. However, this time was different.
They came as if they were confident that Aaron was in the cabin. If it wasn't luck, it must be because someone else told them.
"Could this be Morgan's doing?" asked Mona, coming to the same conclusion as Arthur.
"It's possible. Sara and Karen were probably taken by them to the Night Liberators base," Arthur replied.
"Then what are we gonna do? We need a plan," Mona replied.
"I have a plan: attack!"
