Chapter 424 Raid Strategy
Chapter 424 Raid Strategy
After Xu Feng utilized public opinion in rejecting Autumn Breeze's suggestion, she pursed her lips and glared fiercely at Xu Feng.
Without a doubt, these people would be retarded to let someone else snatch the set away from them.
As for Soulstrider and Emberwolf, they were the most vocal despite having no parts in it. They were most probably hoping to do something significant in the raid to please Xu Feng and maybe… just maybe Xu Feng would change his mind and allow them to partake in the after-auction.
If they showed their sincerity, not being able to purchase it for 10 gold coins was fine.
Who told them to come here with bad intentions and under the influence of the Reaver Guild in the first place?
It was only fair, but afterward, Soulstrider wished that there would be no more bad blood between them.
'After this equipment set to spread, I bet everyone would start to become wary of the Vanguard guild and attempt to establish goodwill with them. I can't allow the Astral Guild to be sandwiched between two powerhouses and get squashed to death.' Soulstrider thought to himself.
Shortly after the purchase was finalized, Xu Feng had everyone take a seat near the same large table, with him in the center.
"The equipment set is considered the Vanguard guild goodwill to all who had won the slots, but also to help assist us in the upcoming large-scale raid." Xu Feng explained, but it was mainly directed to the viewers who might be unaware of the situation or those who just joined.
"Speaking of the large-scale raid, we still haven't known exactly which dungeons we're raiding." Gentle Wind spoke up and inquired.
There were many dungeons scattered across the Divine World that were large-scale raids. It was truly difficult to determine which one Xu Feng wanted to raid exactly.
"Ah right, apologies to that, but I plan on keeping it a secret for the moment." Xu Feng chuckled softly.
"It's not that I don't want to reveal it, but I'm worried that information might be leaked and some nefarious individuals might be ambushing us on the way." As he finished saying that, his eyes subsequently gazed at Soulstrider and Emberwolf again.
Gentle Wind, Autumn Breeze, Blake, and the rest also gazed at the two with a deadpan expression.
"..."
Having reached the breaking point, Soulstrider slammed his palm at the table.
"What are you trying to imply here, Guild Leader Lin Feng?" He asked coldly. "Are you implying that we will leak the intel out and sabotage the raid?"
"Yep, sounds about right." Contrary to everyone's minds, none of them expected Xu Feng to be completely honest.
In fact, they all thought Xu Feng would speak some flowery words or half-hearted explanations to resolve the matter.
After all, that was the norm when discussing things at a large meeting table.
Being subtle yet understandable enough for the opposing party to comprehend the meaning was usually the strategy and method.
Never once did Soulstrider believe Xu Feng would outright ignore the norm method.
Amidst their astonishment, Xu Feng tapped his fingers on the table and chuckled, "Let's not kid ourselves, shall we? Almost everyone knows I'm enemies with the Reaver Guild and you two are affiliated with it. Obviously, I'm going to be on guard and cautious when around you two. Or did you expect me to stay ignorant and reveal critical information so that you can spread it out?"
Pleasantries, Courtesy, politeness?
Xu Feng found it ridiculous to even fake them. Besides, he would truly be a fool if he let them know some information despite knowing they would leak it.
Why wait until then when he could just do it now to prevent leakage?
As the atmosphere turned quite awkward, Xu Feng acted as if nothing happened.
"Anyway, now that everyone knows why I can't reveal the dungeon's name, is there any other question before I resume the discussion?" He clasped his hands and asked, his gaze scanning each and every individual.
Without any surprise, not a single person had any questions. In fact, even if they had, they most likely swallowed them back down to their mouth after his demonstration of painting the picture clear for them to see.
He won't be subtle, but rather extremely straightforward and ruthless.
Just look at the awkward and baffled Soulstrider!
"Okay, good, now I know I won't be interrupted." He mused and proceeded forward without any delay. For the raid strategy, it could be considered simple, but also not simple at the same time.
First of all, the raid leader or commander was going to be Xu Feng. This was easily accepted by all considering he orchestrated everything.
However, it was the second notion that made it difficult for the group to accept.
Xu Feng wanted all of their members' data to understand how to arrange the people and utilize them correctly.
"You just wanted all of our secrets effortlessly!" Unlike Soulstrider who no longer had the energy to confront Xu Feng, Emebrwolf remained fierce and brimmed with energy.
The members' data was a secret that only a few should know. After all, once exposed, their enemy could easily determine their strength and weaknesses with a little bit of testing and investigation.
Unfazed by the remark, Xu Feng leaned on his hand and yawned. "I'll say… if I don't understand the people that are doing the raid, then how am I going to lead?"
"Hmph, all you need to know is their class," Emberwolf argued. "Just like how you are a cleric, then you will naturally stay in the back and buff us or heal us. The tanks would be taking on the aggro while the mages or DPS classes would attack the boss ferociously."
"Oh my, you're a genius." Xu Feng clapped his hands and exclaimed loudly.
"I didn't expect Mr. Emberwolf to be so knowledgeable." He added, and stood up from his chair, gesturing for him to take his seat.
"Why don't you take my seat as well and be the raid leader. Even better, you can plan everything, especially the utilities, items, and ways to dispel the traps in the dungeon."
