Chapter 183: Butcher’s Bounty
Chapter 183: Butcher’s Bounty
Each team had someone fall down under Jiang Siming’s 98K. Terrified, the three teams immediately threw smokes for their teammates, resulting in a smoky haze covering the cliff in no time. However, the smoke grenades were as good as non-existent to Jiang Siming; he could clearly see the three players inside, busy rescuing their teammates.
But he chose to kill only one of them and then stopped. After all, killing one could be considered luck, but wiping out all of them would indeed be a bit too much. Although they couldn’t possibly prove he was cheating, Jiang Siming didn’t want to be that merciless. He had to give these American server players some game experience, right?
After taking out one team, and seeing the other two still reviving their teammates, Jiang Siming even had the leisure to check out the super airdrop. To his delight, there was indeed a shard inside, and it was even a green shard. "Picked up [Controlled Aura] Green Shard *1 (1/3). Fragment count not complete; cannot be used yet." [Controlled Aura]: Allows for the user to freely controlling one’s aura and temperament, divided into six major categories: Laid-back, Rascal, Sunny, Cold, Overbearing, and Mature. Each of these major categories can be further refined into varying degrees of subtlety.
There’s actually such a shard. Jiang Siming was a bit surprised, but this skill could be incredibly useful for flirting and acting. It allows for targeted attraction of different ’tastes’ of girls, and these six categories practically cover all the preferences girls have for men. When it comes to flirting, it’s a smooth, versatile experience, catering to whatever type of guy the girl wants.
Besides flirting, it’s also great for acting. With this [Controlled Aura], one can effortlessly change the aura and temperament required by the script roles, making performances more convincing and profound.
He was only two fragments away from completing the set, and Jiang Siming wasn’t in a rush. He carefully stored the shard. Glancing back at the super airdrop, he saw a Big Pineapple and a Level 3 gear set inside. Jiang Siming, without any hesitation, picked up the Big Pineapple and fumbled for a while before finally loading the bullets.
The Big Pineapple was even slower to load than the WIN94, but once loaded, it held a whopping 100 rounds, allowing for two to three bursts without needing to reload, which was incredibly satisfying. Jiang Siming usually loved this gun, but unfortunately, it could only be found by luck in air drops. By the time he had reloaded, the other two teams had already been revived and were back to full strength. Jiang Siming noticed that one of the teams was stealthily approaching, but they were coming from below the cliff.
If Jiang Siming went to block them at the cliff edge, the other team would definitely attack him. "Brother Beast, help me cover the team on the right, I’ll deal with the ones below the mountain," Jiang Siming assigned this task to 17shou. 17shou’s face fell; these were the words he had wanted to say, but Jiang Siming had beaten him to it.
"Alright, then you have to leave the team on the right for me," 17shou was fixated on his kill count. Jiang Siming already had 12 kills, while he only had 4, and that number was glaringly obvious.
"Alright," Jiang Siming readily agreed and headed towards the cliff edge. As soon as he moved, the team on the right couldn’t hold back anymore and started firing at him with a Mini and an M24. However, Jiang Siming easily dodged the first round of bullets by twisting his body, and by the time they tried to shoot a second round, 17shou had already taken one of them down. Jiang Siming ran to the edge of the cliff with peace of mind and, as expected, saw two guys stealthily moving towards their position.Jiang Siming didn’t even bother to shoot; he pulled a grenade from his waist, timed it perfectly, and gently tossed it down the cliff. The grenade rolled down the cliff, tumbling down... "Be careful, they definitely don’t know we’re down here. As long as we get behind them, they’re finished."
"Do you hear that? What’s that sound?"
"Is there? It sounds like something is rolling down."
"Is this a rock... fuck! It’s a grenade!"
Boom!
The two guys saw the grenade fall and immediately tried to run. But the grenade exploded as soon as it hit the ground, blasting them away with the shrapnel. They rolled down the hill and flew a long distance, eventually hanging from a large tree with their limbs dangling. The two boxes, however, remained on the hillside.
Surprisingly, there was also a piece of torn skin inside. Jiang Siming ran down and picked up the fragments.
"Collected [Butcher’s Bounty] White Fragment *1 (1/1). Fragment count is full, ready to use."
[Butcher’s Bounty]: In the game, every time you kill a player, you receive double the bounty, up to 10 times. The initial bounty is random.
Note: The multiplier resets at the end of each game and cannot be carried over to the next round.
Use!
Jiang Siming immediately wanted to try it out to see what the multiplier was.
Skill Bound!
Jiang Siming didn’t even think about leaving a kill for 17shou and started to sneak around the edge of the cliff. The remaining team members were already shaking in fear from 17shou’s suppression, completely unaware that Jiang Siming was coming up behind them.
Rat-tat-tat...
The M134 Minigun’s muzzle spewed out what seemed like an infinite stream of bullets. Besides the blue-flamed Gatling gun, no other weapon felt as exhilarating as the Minigun.

The two guys who were shaking in fear behind them were instantly turned into sieves by the bullets.
"Shenming, what about the kill you promised me!" 17shou looked at him with a pout. "Oops, I forgot. I didn’t pick up the Tier 3 armor from the airdrop. I’ll give it to you as a bit of compensation, okay?" Jiang Siming pretended to have forgotten.
17shou wasn’t really complaining to Jiang Siming; it was just a shooting game, and kills were no big deal.
It’s not like League of Legends, where you need kills to develop. In this game, kills only make your stats look better.
"I was just teasing you. You can take the kills whenever you want," 17shou said with a smile.
He was genuinely worried that Jiang Siming might think he was too focused on surface-level things and start to dislike him, leading to Jiang Siming not wanting to play with him anymore. That would be even more of a loss since he wanted to learn more from Jiang Siming.
"Kill count +1, start bounty: 5000?." (Kill count +1, start random bounty: 5000 RMB.)
"Kill count +2, double bounty: 10000?." (Kill count +2, doubled bounty: 10000 RMB.)
Not bad! Two kills for ten thousand, three kills for twenty thousand, four for forty thousand, five for eighty thousand, get ten kills and you have 2.56 million.
Unfortunately, this round had already entered the final circle, with only seven players left.
Thinking of this, Jiang Siming didn’t want anyone else to get those kills; they were all money.
With a M24 and a 98k in hand, Jiang Siming became the final circle’s reaper.
17shou couldn’t even keep up with his pace, and he had already taken out each target one by one.
In the end, Jiang Siming secured six kills, with one player dying from the gas.
Six kills netted Jiang Siming 160,000 RMB.
Plus a piece of the ?Walmart? supermarket fragment, now just one more piece away from completing the set.
This round’s game experience was still quite enjoyable.
Sixteen thousand RMB plus a fragment, pretty good!
However, 17shou’s game experience wasn’t as pleasant; he only managed to kill four people from start to finish. No matter how he tries to lead by example, Jiang Siming is always one step ahead. Fortunately, he hasn’t lost any lives or suffered any losses; he just gets called out by the audience for being bad, but who cares! Today, he’s just got to latch onto someone stronger!
