Chapter 492 Lending Hand
Chapter 492 Lending Hand
"I will never surrender," Shao Mi forced herself to stand up, but she was already exhausted from being attacked nonstop.
I was impressed by how much they had pushed her to this state; however, something felt very wrong. Even with all that technology and strategy, I felt that Shao Mi had lost too quickly.
'Wait, why do I feel like she became weaker than before?' I mused to myself.
I still remembered her power in our first meeting, and I'm pretty sure she wasn't this pitiful.
Even with the two weapons in her hands, designed to amplify her power, her output was still a far cry than what I saw last time.
To answer my question, I used my eyes to study her whole body.
With my current powers, even those who considered themselves the strongest on Earth could not block my eyes from looking through them, if I wanted to.
'She's sick?' I mumbled.
I scrutinized her body closely and discovered that inside her, a black, dark substance coiled around her heart, like a shroud limiting her power. It was as if tiny tendrils of shadow clung to her, draining her energy bit by bit.
'What the hell is that thing?' I muttered, touching my chin in contemplation.
Despite having achieved godhood before, my knowledge was limited to what I could gather from the internet and the information provided by the data I got from the Satellite.
But, even that wasn't enough to cover all the knowledge on Earth. After all, some don't even use digital device to store data.
Regardless, I still unlocked my Mind Computer for split second to search for information.
There were thousands, but with my processing power, I only needed to compare their characteristics to find the most probable answer.
'Black Mist Virus?' I mumbled after pulling up data about it.
Reading through it, I discovered it was a type of virus discovered by Americans during the 1800s.
It was proven to be harmless on humans, but continuous experimentation revealed its ability to temporarily weaken gifted powers.
The two obvious weakness of this thing was that, unlike a normal virus, it could not replicate, so it had no ability to be transferred from one person to another.
Also, this virus was not enough to kill a powerful gifted individual; it could only make them weaker for a few months.
Still, some gifted found this thing dangerous, so they erased and destroyed any traces of it.
In records, the Black Mist Virus shouldn't exist anymore, so why was it inside her body?
'I could erase it, but that would defeat the purpose of my plan,' I thought to myself after figuring out that this thing was not that dangerous.
"Stop struggling, Lady Shao Mi," Harvey announced as they surrounded her and confined her in an orange barrier.
"We promised that our Leader won't treat you badly. In fact, you can live as a queen, considering that you will give birth to his offspring." He added with a smug look on his face, which made me want to punch him.
"I'd rather die," she said, her voice filled with anger and defiance .
Then, with all her remaining power, I saw her attempting to self-destruct.
Harvey and the others also noticed this, but they were too late to react.
She started shining with a blinding light, and the air around her began to vibrate chaotically as she used her heart as the trigger for the explosion.
At this point, with how fast things were going, only god could save her.
'Wait... god?'I chuckled, realizing something.
"Stop," my voice echoed in the air, and all the kinetic energy vanished, neutralizing Shao Mi's attempt to kill herself.
"You," she stuttered after seeing me appear in front of her, my wide, dependable back shielding her from harm.
Right now, I went with my Villain Look—white hair and red eyes. I decided that this would be my default look because I look more badass this way.
I wore a black coat embellished with intricate silver magic patterns.
While the designs were just copied from the internet, they look bad ass enough for me.
The collar of my coat also stood out, its texture reminiscent of the fur of a majestic white polar bear.
"I'm here to asked you again for that coffee date," I turned towards her and offered my hand.
I thought she'd act tough, given my sudden arrival. But instead, she surprised me by showing her vulnerable side and accepting my gesture.
Her eyes were wet, unable to hide the relief in them, which made me feel the need to protect her, no matter what.
So, I knelled on the ground and pulled her into my embrace.
She tried to push me back because of my bold move, but I was too strong for her, so in the end, she stopped resisting.
Shao Mi smelled really nice.
Plus, when I hugged her tighter, I felt her soft skin brushing against mine, and lewd thoughts began to surface in my head nonstop.
She was really beautiful and charming, deserving of the title as the most beautiful woman on Earth.
It was strange that those thoughts came to mind first, but then I remembered my personality, and I ended up agreeing that my thought process was just me being me.
"Who the hell are you?" Harvey roared in anger, interrupting my moment with Shao Mi.
"Hey, you better shut up and let me enjoy this moment if you value your life," I responded with a nonchalant tone, not even turning my head to face them.
For me, it was much more important for my nose to smell Shao Mi's hair than talking to ants.
"Let her go now or you will be an enemy of the Astrold Family," Harvey replied, his two hand ready to fire an attack towards me.
Shao Mi saw this and tried to push me again, urging me to focus on fighting.
"Don't worry, these guys can't hurt me even if I'm asleep," I whispered into her ear.
I still wasn't ready to let her go. Forget my grand entrance; hugging her feels way better.
"Kill him!" Harvey ordered, and simultaneously, he and all his companions bombarded me with their iconic beam attack.
But before it could even reach me, the beam of light changed trajectory and directly recoiled back at them, forcing them all to dodge and block their own attacks.
BOOOM!
BOOOM!
BOOOM!
Multiple explosions reverberated as some were caught off guard, unable to dodge in time, and were forced to take the hit.
"See, these guys are too weak for me to get serious," I reassured her .
