Chapter 2537:  Darkness vs Death (3)

Mo Xue, her eyes wide with a mixture of fear and surprise, barely managed to dodge the attack, the spear grazing her cheek, leaving a thin trail of blood in its wake. She stumbled back, her composure shattered, her crimson eyes fixed on the silent figure before her.

"Impossible…" she whispered, her voice barely audible. "You should have been eliminated along with the God of Death… How…?"

The Hell Asura remained silent, his form radiating an aura of absolute power, his presence dominating the battlefield. He raised his spear once more, the infernal light on its blade intensifying, casting an eerie glow upon his black armor.

With a swift, fluid motion, the Hell Asura swung the spear, unleashing a wave of pure, destructive energy that swept across the battlefield.

BOOOM!!

The Shadow Demon and Void Creature leaders, caught in the path of the attack, were instantly obliterated, their forms dissolving into nothingness, their essence scattered to the winds.

The remaining Shadow Demons and Void Creatures, witnessing the sheer power of the Hell Asura, scattered in terror, their forms flickering and disappearing as they fled the battlefield, seeking refuge in the shadows from which they came.

Mo Xue, her face pale, her crimson eyes wide with a mixture of fear and disbelief, could only watch as the Hell Asura single-handedly turned the tide of the battle.

The Hell Asura locked onto Mo Xue and charged towards her.

Mo Xue, despite her fear, was not one to back down from a fight. Gritting her teeth, she gathered her dark energy, her crimson eyes blazing with a defiant fire. "You may be strong, Asura," she hissed, her voice laced with venom, "but you will not defeat me so easily!"

With a roar, she unleashed a torrent of dark energy, bolts of pure chaos that streaked towards the Hell Asura, each one carrying enough power to obliterate a lesser being.

The Hell Asura, however, remained unfazed. He continued his advance, his spear held firmly in his hand, his movements precise and economical. He deflected the incoming attacks with effortless ease, the dark energy bolts dissipating upon contact with his spear, their power nullified.

Mo Xue's attacks grew increasingly desperate, her movements more frantic. She summoned shadowy claws, formed from pure dark energy, and slashed at the Hell Asura, each strike aimed at vital points, each blow carrying the force of a collapsing star.

However, the Hell Asura was too quick, too powerful. He dodged and weaved, his movements fluid and precise, his spear a constant threat, deflecting her attacks, keeping her at bay. He was like a phantom, a being of pure shadow, untouchable and unstoppable.

Mo Xue, realizing that her attacks were having little to no effect, decided to change tactics. She focused her energy, channeling her ancient power, tapping into the very essence of her being as an Ancient Devil God.

"If brute force won't work," she muttered to herself, her voice barely a whisper, "then let's see how you handle this!"

She raised her hands, and the space around her began to distort, the fabric of reality warping under the strain of her power. She was manipulating the Law of Darkness, bending them to her will, creating a localized field of chaos, a domain where she held absolute control.

Within this domain, Mo Xue's power was amplified, her movements faster, her attacks stronger. She launched herself at the Hell Asura, her claws extended, her crimson eyes burning with a fierce intensity.

The Hell Asura, sensing the shift in power, responded in kind. He gripped his spear tighter, the infernal light on its blade intensifying, casting an eerie glow upon his black armor. He met Mo Xue's attack head-on, his spear thrusting forward with unstoppable force.

BOOOOM—

The clash of their powers shook the very foundations of the battlefield. The ground trembled, the air crackled with energy, and the space around them distorted, as if the very fabric of reality was being torn apart.

"Ugh!" Mo Xue, despite her amplified power, found herself being pushed back. The Hell Asura's strength was simply overwhelming, his power absolute. In a desperate attempt to gain an advantage, Mo Xue began to burn her Devil God blood, a dangerous technique that amplified her power but at a great cost. Her aura flared, her crimson eyes glowed with an even greater intensity, and her attacks became more ferocious, more desperate.

The Hell Asura remained unfazed. He continued to fight with the same calm, focused intensity, his movements precise, his attacks lethal. He was like a machine, a weapon of war, perfectly designed to destroy.

Mo Xue, her energy rapidly depleting, her body pushed to its limits, realized that she was fighting a losing battle. She had underestimated the Hell Asura, underestimated his power, his skill, his sheer tenacity.

"This… this can't be…" she gasped, her voice barely a whisper, her body trembling with exhaustion.

In her impression, the Hell Asura in the heyday wasn't as strong as this. Clearly, something had happened during this period.

The Hell Asura, sensing her weakening state, pressed his advantage. He unleashed a flurry of attacks, each one more powerful than the last, each one aimed at ending the fight once and for all.

Mo Xue, her defenses crumbling and her energy waning, knew that she couldn't hold on much longer. She had to make a choice: continue fighting and face certain death, or call for help and risk the wrath of her peers.

Pride warred with self-preservation, but in the end, survival won.

"Ancestor!" she cried out, her voice echoing across the battlefield, a desperate plea for assistance. "I need your help!"

Her cry did not go unanswered. At the very edge of the battlefield, where the shadows grew deeper and the void seemed to beckon, a figure stirred.

Buzz—

The air shimmered, and a spatial rift tore open, revealing a being of immense power. He was tall and imposing, his body radiating an aura of ancient energy.

His eyes, the color of molten gold, surveyed the scene, taking in the defeated forms of the Shadow Demon and Void Creature leaders, the fleeing remnants of their forces, and the ongoing battle between Mo Xue and the Hell Asura.

This was Yin He, one of the four great Devil God Ancestors.

Yin He's gaze landed on the Hell Asura. "As expected from the first Hell Asura. I knew you were deliberately hiding back then."
