A few moments later, the figure of a 10-meter (33ft) tall golden Buddha appeared next to her army of undead, followed by a cloud of moving darkness, as well as hundreds of convoluted shadows.

In the blink of an eye, Bai Longtian, Jiang Chen, and Xingyi arrived as well, all of them standing opposite Xuan Bo and staring at him with unconcealed hostility and rage in their eyes.

For Xuan Bo to attack Shun Long right after leaving the 'City of Immortals', it was obvious that the luxuriously-robed prince was trying to abuse the difference in their cultivation base and kill him right away.

Xuan Bo frowned as he looked at the 4 peak-stage Dao Kings blocking his way, his gaze lingering on Liu Mei and Jiang Chen for a while longer, as he was already familiar with the two of them. In the next moment however the young prince stepped forward, before he said in a cold voice that clearly expressed his dissatisfaction

''You bunch of trash dare to block my way? Who do you think you are? SCRAM!''

As he finished speaking, the aura of a peak seventh-stage body refiner burst out of Xuan Bo's body as he abruptly disappeared from the spot he was standing on, arriving right in front of Jiang Chen!

Without wasting any time he sent a fist flying forward, this one heading straight for Jiang Chen's head, trying to take him out before he could assume his form of darkness again.

Xuan Bo had already found out about Jiang Chen's 'Eternal Darkness unique physique' during the seventh trial and knew that he had to deal with him first, otherwise he was only going to waste more time.

Of course, the young prince wasn't afraid of a bunch of peak-stage Dao Kings like Liu Mei and the rest blocking his way. What he was afraid of was Shun Long recovering from his previous attack and looking to escape.

Whether it was for the 100 immortal-grade spirit stones or simply due to the potential danger Shun Long posed to him, Xuan Bo knew that he had to take him out today, otherwise it would be extremely difficult to do so in the future!

Narrowing his eyes, Xuan Bo stared at Jiang Tianfang and said coldly

''Jiang Tianfang, do you really want to block my way? You should know better than these brats who I am and what I am capable of. Are you sure you want to become my enemy today?''

Xuan Bo didn't conceal the threat in his words as he glared at Jiang Tianfang.

Unfortunately, the handsome middle-aged man in front of him didn't appear afraid, as he turned around and looked at Jiang Chen before he said with a smile

''Go. Take Shun Long and get out of this place. I'll come find you once I'm done here.''

Jiang Chen fell silent for a moment, before eventually nodding his head as he looked at his father and said

''Be careful.''

Jiang Tianfang's smile became even wider when he heard that, before he turned around and faced the young crown prince once more.

Xuan Bo's expression had already turned extremely distorted from fury, but without any other way to solve his current predicament, he could only engage Jiang Tianfang in close combat temporarily.

Unfortunately, his subordinates who had entered the 'City of Immortals' with him didn't seem to have noticed the commotion just yet, so Xuan Bo could only face Jiang Tianfang by himself while hoping that one of them would arrive soon enough.

Jiang Chen threw one last glance at his father and Xuan Bo, before he turned around and said to Liu Mei and the rest

''It's alright. Since my father said he can handle this we can leave it to him. Let's get out of here.''

A moment later, the 4 of them headed straight for the heart of Liu Mei's army, where Shun Long was surrounded by hundreds of skeletons and more than a dozen undead knights. Right now, Shun Long was still standing but it was obvious that his current condition was anything but good. Xuan Bo's attack had shattered more than a dozen of his bones while heavily injuring his internal organs as well.

Of course, this was only natural too.

No matter what, Xuan Bo's fist wasn't something that any Dao King could take on with their bare body and remain standing afterward. In fact, if it was any other sixth-stage body refiner, they were practically guaranteed to burst into a mist of blood by that terrifying strike, evaporating on the spot.

So for Shun Long to not only have survived, but even be able to stand by himself was more than just 'astonishing'!

A few moments later, Xingyi and the rest arrived by his side, noticing Shun Long's heavily injured condition before quickly explaining the situation on the battlefield, as well as Jiang Tianfang telling them to leave everything to him.

In the end, it was Bai Longtian who looked at him and asked

''Brother Shun... what do you think?''

The look in Shun Long's eyes turned cold as he thought of Xuan Bo's greed for the immortal-grade spirit stones, but in the end, he simply shook his head and said

''Uncle Jiang is right. There's nothing left for us to do here anymore. If he's willing to help me deal with Xuan Bo for now, then I won't decline. Even if we stay here we won't be of much help to him in the first place. Let's leave.''

As he finished speaking, Shun Long threw one last glance at the distant figure of Jiang Tianfang fighting Xuan Bo, before he slashed the air in front of him, opening a gigantic space tear.

And yet, despite fighting Jiang Tianfang, Xuan Bo seemed to have somehow sensed Shun Long's actions as the young prince turned his gaze towards him.
