''Long'er, are you leaving?'' Almost as if sensing the change in atmosphere, Shun Fang turned around and looked at his son before he asked in a low voice.

Even Shun An and Shun Fen turned their gazes over when they heard this, before the young girl dropped the utensils in her hands and rushed over, stopping right in front of her elder brother.

''Brother, are you really leaving? Will you... come visit Fenfen again?'' The young girl looked at Shun Long and asked hesitantly, her voice a mixture of eagerness and reluctance.

Nodding his head, Shun Long patted the young girl's head and said dotingly

''It will probably take a while until then, but I'll definitely come again. Make sure to take care of Little Silver while I'm gone!''

The young girl fell silent for a moment before she stuck out her little chest and said proudly

''Okay, brother! You can leave it to me!''

Shun Long then handed Shun Fang a spatial ring filled with hundreds of pill bottles, including top-grade rank 4 'Spirit nourishing pills', 'Sun-healing pills', 'anti-toxin pills', as well as mountains upon mountains of low and middle-grade spirit stones. The resources inside were more than enough for Shun Fang and the rest to reach the peak of the Nascent Soul stage without too much trouble.

Of course, among those pills, Shun Long had also included a few that Shun Fen would need if she chose to become a cultivator in the future.

This was why he hadn't taken any measures against the spies surrounding the Shun estate or the nobles who kept visiting Shun Fang and Shun An, each trying to influence them with their own agendas.

Moments later, he and Liu Mei soared in the sky, leaving the 'Roaring Waves Kingdom' and the chain of mortal islands behind. Passing through the barrier that separated the mortal world from the cultivation world they soon arrived in the Desolate East once more.

At this point, Shun Long's plan was to return to the 'Night star continent' and regroup with Xingyi and Bai Longtian before they returned to the central continent and headed for the central region. However, before that, Shun Long had one more place he wanted to stop at.

The 'Floating Cloud sect' was located very close to the barrier of the mortal world and so, barely a minute later, Shun Long and Liu Mei had already arrived in the sky above the small sect.

Shun Long had already noticed this a month ago when they first passed by, but the situation of the sect was truly awful. The number of outer court disciples only numbered a couple of thousand at most, making the previously lively outer court feel deserted and lifeless.

Of course, Shun Long knew that the culprit behind this result was most likely the stunning young woman by his side who had revealed the sect's shady practices regarding inner court disciples, and how they were treated as slaves by the powerful families that ruled the sect.

It was no wonder that people would no longer want to get associated with the 'Floating Cloud sect' anymore once that truth came to light.

However, the situation of the sect didn't matter the slightest bit to Shun Long. In fact, he knew that it was only a matter of time before something like this happened eventually, with or without Liu Mei's intervention.

Instead, what Shun Long focused on was a certain fat youth in the inner court of the sect. It only took a single moment for Shun Long to locate Fu Li after spreading out his soul sense and covering the entire sect, as the luxuriously-dressed fatty was enjoying his wine in the depths of the inner court.

A few moments later, Shun Long and Liu Mei had already appeared in the sky above the Fu family, before Shun Long used his soul sense to transmit his voice inside Fu Li's mind

''Fatty, come out here.''

Almost instinctively, Fu Li's entire body trembled as a familiar voice sounded in his head, prompting him to shiver and stand up in a hurry.

Without any hesitation, the fat youth flew out of the Fu family's mansion with surprising agility for his size, stunning anyone who witnessed it.

''Young master? What's wrong?''

''Young lord Li!''

The nearby Elders and the guards standing around the mansion all exclaimed in surprise when they saw their young lord so flustered, but Fu Li didn't pay any attention to them, his gaze instead scanning the sky as he searched for a particular figure.

And indeed, a few moments later, the delighted fatty burst into smiles as he looked at Shun Long and called out

''Brother Shun!''

Arriving in front of Shun Long and Liu Mei, Fu Li stepped forward and pulled Shun Long into a tight bear hug, his sonorous voice shaking the mansion of the Fu family below him.

''Hahaha! Brother! It's been so long I thought I'd never see you again!''

With a smile on his face, Shun Long pushed his drunk friend away, only to see him turn his gaze toward Liu Mei and continue

''Sister Liu! It's good to see you again too. You are even more beautiful than before as well.''

Liu Mei's lips curved up ever-so-slightly as she nodded her head in greeting. She had already gotten used to Fu Li's shameless flattery a long time ago, so she didn't have any particular reaction to it anymore.

Instead, it was Shun Long who looked at his old friend and said a moment later

''Fatty, it's good to see you too! But, this time I didn't come here just to see each other. I have something important to discuss with you.''

''Something to discuss?''
