Chapter 479 479: Elaborate Plan

In the strategizing area of their command ship within the "Cosmic Siege" realm, Caleb laid out their battle plan with characteristic flair.

"Alright, listen up, team. Here's the fucking master plan," Caleb began, pointing at the holographic map floating before them. "We hit them where it hurts, at the resource points. We secure these, we get the upgrades, and we kick some serious ass."

Leo, zooming in on a resource point, asked, "So, how do we approach this? Stealth or all guns blazing?"

Caleb grinned, "A bit of both. We'll sneak in, nice and quiet-like, then explode all over them like a supernova. Mia, you and I will lead the frontal distraction. Leo and Sarah, you flank them. Alex, you're our eyes in the sky, coordinating."

As they approached the designated resource point, they spotted their opponents, humanoid-shaped scorpions, guarding the area. "Look at these ugly bastards," Caleb whispered, eyeing the scorpion enemies through binoculars. "Okay, team, remember the plan. Let's do this smooth and sharp."

The team split, with Caleb and Mia creating a diversion, firing blasts towards the enemy's perimeter. The scorpion beings, surprised, scuttled towards the commotion, brandishing their pincer-laden arms and tail stingers.

Meanwhile, Leo and Sarah, utilizing the distraction, sneaked around to the back of the resource point. They planted explosive devices at critical junctures, preparing for a decisive strike.

"Alex, now!" Caleb barked into his comm link.

From his vantage point, Alex orchestrated a synchronized attack. "Explosives in 3, 2, 1…"

The area erupted in chaos as the explosives detonated, sending shockwaves through the enemy ranks. The scorpions, disoriented and damaged, were easily picked off by the team's coordinated fire. Find your next read on My Virtual Library Empire

"Resource point is clear!" Sarah announced, as she and Leo secured the perimeter.

Caleb, striding into the resource area with Mia, couldn't help but gloat. "Told ya, smooth and sharp. Like taking candy from a baby, if the baby was a giant, ugly scorpion."

The team regrouped, laughing and exchanging high-fives, pleased with their successful execution of Caleb's plan. The secured resource point not only boosted their resources but also morale.

Post-victory, the team huddled around their newly acquired resource point, a digital counter above it ticking up rapidly.

"Each point's worth a hundred, right? So, we just bagged ourselves a cool five thousand points," Caleb announced, a smug grin on his face as he watched the numbers climb. "Not too shabby for a day's work."

Mia, tapping at her data pad, suggested, "We could use some of these points to upgrade our shields. Make them scorpion-sting proof, you know?"

Leo, always the tactician, added, "And if we invest in stealth tech, we could sneak up on more points without setting off every damn alarm in the galaxy."

Sarah chimed in, "Don't forget resource multipliers. Capture one point, and the next one nets us double. It's like those video games where you combo your way to a high score."

Alex, peering through his scope, pointed out, "We should also consider setting traps around our points. Any team trying to sneak up gets a nice surprise."

Caleb listened, nodding along as each team member laid out their thoughts. "Alright, let's mash this shit up into one mega plan," he declared. "We upgrade our shields with Mia's plan, go stealth mode à la Leo, combo the points per Sarah's strategy, and booby-trap everything like Alex wants."

The team members exchanged impressed looks, realizing Caleb's knack for combining their ideas into a cohesive strategy.

"So, we're basically becoming the ninjas of resource points, invisible, invincible, and insanely clever," Caleb concluded, his eyes gleaming with mischief.

"Yeah, and with every point we nab, we'll be setting off fireworks in their faces—surprise, motherfuckers!" Leo added, laughing at the thought.

As the team embarked on their first step of the grand strategy, upgrading their shields, Mia took the lead, directing the operations with meticulous precision. She was engrossed in her data pad, cross-referencing specs, and issuing commands.

"Okay, we need to reroute the energy conduits to bolster the shield matrix. Make sure those recalibrations are accurate to the decimal," Mia instructed, her eyes not leaving the screen.

Meanwhile, Leo was deep in stealth tech, camouflaging their base and assets with such care that even the local wildlife began to look suspiciously like part of the scenery. "If you squint, you can barely see the perimeter defenses," he said, blending in a bush with a satisfied nod.

Sarah, focused on the resource multipliers, was running simulations to maximize their point gains. "If we time our captures right, we can double our points with each consecutive take. It's all about the sequence," she explained, her fingers dancing over a holographic interface.

Alex, on trap duty, was laying out a network of sensors and explosives with the precision of a surgeon. "A little to the left, and... there! Not even a ghost could sneak past these babies without setting off the fireworks," he boasted, planting another mine with a grin.

In stark contrast to his team's bustling activity, Caleb lounged nearby, seemingly unbothered by the frenetic pace around him. Feet up and hands behind his head, he watched with amusement. "You guys are like a well-oiled machine. Do I even need to be here?" he joked, lazily observing the proceedings.

Mia shot him a glare, "Your strategy, remember? You could at least pretend to help."

Caleb chuckled, "My job was to come up with the plan. Execution is your forte. Besides, I'm saving my energy for the face-offs. You know, the smashing and bashing part."

As the strategy unfolded, the effectiveness of the team's plan became glaringly apparent. The upgraded shields were the first to show their worth.

"Check this out," Mia beamed, directing the team's attention to a display where incoming energy blasts harmlessly bounced off their newly fortified shields. "Our shields are now bouncing back their attacks like rubber balls at a dodgeball game!"

Caleb, watching the spectacle, couldn't resist commenting, "Damn, Mia, that's some serious bounce-back action. It's like we're wrapped in cosmic bubble wrap!"

Next up was the stealth technology Leo had installed. On the monitor, enemy scanners swept over their area, completely missing their hidden base and resources. Leo pointed at the screen, where their assets were, for all intents and purposes, invisible.

"We're like space ninjas," Leo chuckled. "They've scanned this area thrice and found squat. Stealth tech for the win!"

Sarah's resource multiplier strategy was equally successful. As they captured their second resource point, the team watched the point tally double thanks to her meticulous planning.

"Look at those numbers climb!" Sarah exclaimed. "It's like hitting the jackpot every time we take a point!"

Caleb nodded appreciatively, "Sarah, you're turning this into a points fiesta. Keep this up, and we'll be swimming in resources."

Lastly, Alex's traps proved their worth when an enemy team, attempting a sneak attack on their territory, triggered a series of explosions. On the surveillance feed, the intruders were sent scrambling, caught off-guard by the well-placed traps.

"Boom, baby!" Alex shouted, throwing his hands in the air as they watched their foes retreat in disarray. "That's what happens when you step into our backyard uninvited!"

Caleb laughed heartily.
