Chapter 1129 About the Gate

[Eon's POV: ]

"She thinks we aren't going up because of the floor."

"Isn't that good? It's for the better that they don't know about the gate's matters. I mean, there's still a lot of time left."

"Tell me though, Zoe. You knew about the time difference-."

"No, big brother, no! Even I don't feel the strange time delay that sister Elle feels. I mean, even if we wanted to, there is no way to know about it."

That was also right. Even if we had some kind of special power like her, we would still not have been able to feel it.

Rein was an anomaly that had a unique way to perceive the world. She could not do anything about it, just like how I could not forget anything, she could not feel the way the time flowed different from how she perceived it.

'Her internal clock was strangely accurate and aligned with something.'

It does not mean she could keep track of time precisely, but just that she would perceive the time in her own manner instead of how the others perceived the time. The relativity of time was a little too specific for her.

Anyway… she was not going to find anything grand in that room, nor was there anything too unique on the floor that she was on right now.

'I did not want her to see that place anytime soon, but it doesn't really matter much even if she had seen that place.'

The whole floor was made to show the reality of the world. There were all kinds of organic things there, and along with that, there were also all kinds of strange things there.

'I personally do not understand some of those things, but her truth seeing eyes might see those things differently.'

Perhaps she would see them as something negative, or perhaps she would be overwhelmed with these things, I don't know what her response would be to these things, but one thing is for certain– she was better off not knowing about the scene that is going on with this Gate.

"So, Zoe, how long do you think we would need for the product to complete." They were on the first floor right now, right before the gate, and right now, Zoe was taking some measurements.

"If I push myself, we should be able to finish it within two months, or at least what might be two months in this place's time."

The time difference was so weird that she had given up on understanding how these things worked. There were a lot of things here that made more sense than a strange flow of time that no one could perceive unless they had a cursed inbuilt clock.

"Two months are good. It's much longer than we initially expected, but it's still good."

"We did not know this problem would arise when we first started this, big brother. We haven't even gone underground yet so I think there is going to be quite a bit of work even after we finish the product." Read new chapters at My Virtual Library Empire

To make sure that everyone can go through this gate and use it in a way that they are safe even after entering it, Zoe was going to create a completely new section attached to it.

She was currently taking required measurements of the space, the energy areas, the required points where the new things will be set up, and things that I will have to help her with.

After she is done, we will go down… there exists an underground area below this tower, something we did not know originally, and then we will have to get to the original power source of this place.

That was the plan, but for now, we needed to work on the gate… but we could not work on it like we had predicted.

"Don't push yourself, Zoe. since we have figured out the problem, we should be able to fix it with the appropriate measures."

We activated the gate since we needed to measure some of the things with the gate active as well, however, when we were doing so, we figured out the energy input that would be required to start the gate was not going to be quick enough for the artifact to activate.

'Even if we get the energy from the main source, we won't be able to kickstart the Gate since the amount of energy we need is much more than what anything we have here could process.'

We could make a different artifact to take in the power from the source and use it for the process, but that will take more time than we have. So, we needed to find and see if we could do with the limited things we had.

'Apparently, the Gate was pre-adjusted the last time we used it. Master had done so for us before she left and perhaps it was because of her that we were able to use it to get out of here.'

She helped us get out of here as well, and she was still helping us by leaving her notes to us on how to operate this Relic which was different from the usual Gates that were present around the world.

This gate worked a little differently from the warp gates and the Gates that the royals and higher order families possess. There was a different concept used for the functioning as well as for the materialisation and decomposition of the various artificial-organic matter.

'The way it worked was not easy to understand, but the way it worked on a simple principle of quantum entanglement.'

Still, how this thing works is not as important as how we are going to use it– not just anyone could use an artifact like this, so we will need something that helps others use it.

'We will make that thing, use it to start the Relic, we will then use it for the tests, see if we get proper results, and after that is done, we will go back if everything looks good.'

If we are in any kind of danger during the teleport process, we will place contingencies that will bring us back to this tower– hopefully in one piece.

"Alright. We should go if you're done."

"Just a minute, big brother."

Zoe had just figured out how the starting system could be adjusted. She will need a little more time to study the Gate and everything that is attached to it, and after that, we should be good to work on the thing that we need the most right now: a safety device.

'We are going to leave soon. After Anna masters the basics, which should not take more than a month, we will first get her a partner through the summoning circles, and then see if she could summon something of her own.'

We will bring her outside so that she can interact with the creatures in the nature, but if we wanna do that, we will need a safety device that could not only protect her like her Mr. Rice, but also protect the rest of them from any kind of danger that comes for us.

"Alright. I'm done for now." She finished putting everything back and came up to me.

Looking me in the eye, she smiled weakly and thought about what Rein might have found in that room, and then, ended up chuckling.

"You're a bad person, big brother."

She knew Rein still did not know why I played her like this. She might still be thinking how I wanted to find that place but cannot.

I did not trick her or anything, it was for her own good. And, that place doesn't really have that many cool things– the most interesting thing she would find there, might only be the wall of pictures belonging to me and my master.

"She likes these things, Zoe. it's better for her to have these instead of tension and confusion."

Thanks to this treasure hunt, she was in a much better condition. After today, she should be able to start with her training as well, and perhaps she will be much busier to worry about the things that I am doing right now.

'She was worried about how I was doing too much and was not taking care of myself. There was a lot of work so we just ended up sleeping at night, but we will have to manage like this for the next few days.'

Thanks to grandpa and Zoe taking up some responsibilities, I was not as flooded with work as I had expected. I still had a few hours to sleep, as well as a few hours to finish up things that needed my attention– like this Gate work.

But still, being with her was something I could not stop. She also needed my attention right now.

"Anyway…"

Zoe and I left the ground floor and went to the higher floor where Taika, Miss Moon, and Anna were playing right now.

All of them had finished what they needed to do today, so they were together. Then we went up and picked up the rest of them while going up. Lastly, when we reached the 44th floor of [Human comedy], I restricted everyone's senses with Zoe's help, and led them to where the door was present.

I also did not show them what was around the floor and did not give them any hints either, just telling them they did not have to see what was present outside was enough for them to understand what I wanted.

Thankfully, they all played along and at the end, we were inside my room.

The room that master had made for me to not play around or do experiments in, but for me to sleep in, for me to do what I wanted, and for Us two so that we could play around here whenever we had nothing else to do.
