I was reeling from the revelations that were revealed to me. Not only did I find out I was a father I was also an uncle. And a soon-to-be great uncle if what the girl on his arm just said is true. Revelation after revelation I watched my biggest business rival talk to my son like they were dear friends before I suddenly couldn’t eavesdrop anymore.

Even the bug I planted on Peter went silent somehow, most likely magic from the man to stop it. I needed to learn more about their connection. I had done a deep dive into the history of both mine, and my brothers children, Peter was far more unfortunate than Riri. Riri had a family, a good job, several degrees in engineering, and had built her own heavily budgeted version of an Ironman armor.

Peter’s mother was a SHIELD agent who died on a mission that orphaned him. He was taken in by his Aunt May and Uncle Ben, someone who left SHIELD as well because he thought the way she died was too suspicious and it was most likely a spy that got her killed. Peter was then bullied in school, gained superpowers, and became Spiderman then his Uncle died.

Since then he has still been Spiderman but it wasn’t until recently that his life changed with his Aunt becoming the director of the FEAST foundation gave him the leeway to get his degrees and start his own business. I wasn’t sure how to introduce myself, or even if I would yet… Until the silence bubble burst and the man pointed in my direction. I couldn’t help but feel a slight tinge of fear, did he plan all this from the beginning?

Third-Person Point of View

Warren McGinnis couldn’t help but be happy with how everything played out recently. Not only did he graduate college, but he and his high school girlfriend met up and started dating again. Everything was working out for him, especially the high-paying job offers coming in from SHIELD, Cadmus, Wayne Enterprises, and several other offers from subsidiaries of Danny Storm’s businesses.

Right now he was deciding on which business to join, a decision that would change his future. He was extremely loyal and would stick with whatever choice he made now, they didn’t make them like him anymore. He just finished another interview and was halfway through finalizing his decision when he heard a knock on his door.

“Mary, can you get that?” He called out to his future wife as he kept overlooking the multiple job offers, he graduated top of his class and was a running back who took his team to the championship the last two years of his college career so he was well known and liked. He had disappointed many fans by not going to the NFL but it just didn’t call to him like his passion for science and chemistry did.

Sipping his coffee, he didn’t expect to see none other than Bruce Wayne darkening his doorstep. He walked in before asking again. “Mary, can you bring us some cookies please?” They worked well together, Warren sent his wife away so that if Bruce had anything important to say he would do so while she was gone. He also knew that if Bruce did tell him something in secret she would want to know after.

He sipped his coffee as Bruce took a seat across from him. He didn’t look that old but never focused on the similarities between himself and Bruce until now. As Bruce opened his mouth and began to speak, Warren already knew deep down that it was the truth.

I got a call I was waiting for from Raven as something big was happening. Beast Boy had left without saying much only bringing another two members of the Teen Titans with him on a separate mission. Only those who knew the puzzle pieces would figure out what was going to happen next. I was glad I left a trace on them the last time I visited Raven when they were having a party as Dick, Barbara, and Koriand’r announced they were now officially dating.

As I try to teleport to a nearby location I feel my teleportation bounce off a protective barrier. It was easy enough to teleport to the edge of the barrier and walk through but it was clear that this group was a little more prepared than normal. Making myself invisible, I fly into the barrier and look at the fight that’s happening right now. The fight was new and old members of the Doom Patrol against the Brotherhood of Evil.

Many similarities between the TV show and the new comics but Madame Rouge was still just an evil member instead of a sympathetic character. I also slept with her daughter Gemini who was probably a spy for them in the mutant team. Five members of the Brotherhood of Evil versus seven members of the Doom Patrol.

I didn’t interrupt the fight much, just made sure killing blows weren’t landed on any of the Doom Patrol members while ignoring the damage accumulating on the Brotherhood side. The Brotherhood only had three strong members, the other two an old man and a brain in a jar. The jar was loaded with guns, bombs, and other weaponry but his attacks were all easily predictable.

Madame Rouge flung herself around the battlefield, constantly knocking over people or avoiding attacks and drawing attention away from her partners to give them a chance at winning. It was an uphill battle though, even the Doom Patrol without the three extra members could have won the fight eventually. Slowly the Brotherhood was overwhelmed. I waited for them to finish tying up the bad guys, the brain unfortunately had an ‘accident’ that caused his death as his bulletproof braincase somehow shattered from a redirected attack.

General Immortus also died somehow. No one knew what killed him though as he was so old no one knew how he was still alive. Someone more experienced might have realized the man had studied the occult to a degree that he knew how to bind his soul closer to his body, allowing him to continue living for much longer and under much harsher conditions than anyone else. Well, his soul's connection was slightly lessened at some point by an outside factor and that was what caused it to be expelled from his body.

I undid my invisibility as I waved my hand in greeting. “Yo! What-.” Bumblebee who was one of the people helping fired at me from my sudden intrusion I let that sit for a second before I continued. “What’s going on you guys? Looks like you got it under control.” 

Robot man gestured with a shaking hand. “Who the fuck is this guy?” I just walked over and put a hand on him as his robotic body shifted back to one that looked like Brendan Frasure from The Mummy, the only reason I was bothering with fixing the team was because of how he was portrayed in the TV series, though they’d never know that. I could easily fix them, as well as most heroes or villains but it would take too much time and effort to do. I was only helping the people I thought deserved it like them.
