Chapter 727 Excalibaaa
Chapter 727 Excalibaaa
Rain decided to take action after receiving the letter from the magic people proposing a truce again. He contacted Artisia and the squad dedicated to protecting her. He gave them specific orders to investigate the coast of the magic people in the southern region.
Rain instructed Artisia and her team to approach the coastal area of the magic people's territory in the south discreetly. Their mission was to conduct a thorough investigation, observing and gathering information about any suspicious activities, movements, or barriers present in that region.
This task was crucial to gaining insights into the intentions and preparations of the magic people, especially regarding any potential actions against Rain and his allies.
"They should have a hard time finding you all if you stay inside the mouth of the sea dragon," Rain said. "It's presence and mana should mask yours. Even if they do find you all, it is fine since that will make them think that we are about to attack them. For starters, don't go too far away and focus on learning small pieces of information and then reporting it and resting for a day."
"Yes, master," Artisia said.
At that point in time, Rain had given up on correcting Artisia. Attacking an ally for annoying him that much felt wrong, and it was better for Rain to get stressed over that kind of stuff.
"Wouldn't it be better if you were to go?" Terra asked as they watched Artisia and her squad leaving.
"I am a human and they are magic people, in the unlikely chance that they are found, the enemies might think that a dragon ate them or something," Rain shrugged. "My presence would stick like a sore thumb. At the same time, that would rile them up too much… We want the magic people to be worried, but not to that extent.
Until we are completely ready, we can't risk another war where the magic people or the dragons would have the upperhand."
Aside from his usual training and studies, Rain also decided to try a bunch of other things. Since they had enough materials and Lotto couldn't use them even if he had five years, Rain decided to level up his Adept Crafter path. With bones, hide and scales, he made some giant crossbows and projectiles that would be used by them.
When Rain tested them, the projectiles that were ten meters long flew for three kilometers, crossing that distance in five seconds as well…
The creation of a giant crossbow using dragon materials for warfare shocked those involved in its construction, as well as others who witnessed its completion. The immense scale and potential power of this weapon surpassed their expectations and left them in awe.
The awe-inspiring nature of the giant crossbow stemmed not only from its imposing physical appearance but also from the understanding that it represented a crucial asset in their fight against the dragons. Its potential to inflict significant damage and provide a strategic advantage against these formidable foes was undeniable.
Furthermore, the knowledge that this war magic relic could potentially tip the scales in their favor against the dragons and other adversaries filled them with a mix of excitement, hope, and a sense of responsibility. Experience tales with My Virtual Library Empire

"Hey, it has been a while," Jori said when he arrived in the capital and found Rain setting the first giant dragon killer, or so was the name of the giant crossbow. "That looks like a nasty thing you have there."
"I will set four of them in the capital, and then I will make them for you guys as well," Rain said. "You don't have a good aim, so look for a good enough archer to use these bad boys."
"I will, I would feel too bad for missing anyway and that would mess up my pace," Jori said. "Anyway, I came to pass a message from Orcis as well, Lorene is eight months pregnant and he doesn't want her to stay in the port town since if looks more like a fortress now. I can take his place for a year or so, he says."
"We can do that, but didn't you want to change places with Liss and Asche before?" Rain asked.
"We wanted, but my kids like the ocean, so it is fine," Jori said. "Besides, we have been working on improving our long ranged skills."
Rain wanted to say a few things to Jori for making that kind of decision while following that logic, but he couldn't since he was a doting father as well. Rain could be a lot of things, but he couldn't be a hypocrite.
"Did you name that skill? What about Exacalibaaa?" Rain asked.
"That is a weird name… not like there is much sense in naming it when only I can use it," Jori said.
"Frost Exacalibaaa? Exacalibaaa Morgan? I use my wife as a shield?" Rain asked.
"You will never let me forget that, will you?" Jori asked and then sighed. "Anyway, is there anything that you learned recently that we can pass to the warriors and the recruits?"
"Not yet, I am still studying a certain technique," Rain replied. "It goes against what I taught everyone, so this will be hard."
Just like Greed Vow and Sound Magic, Rain was trying to find a variation of those skills that would be more friendly toward humans… he didn't get any results, though.
Around the time Orcis and Lorene moved to the capital. Esmeralda gave birth to a healthy kid and thanks to it, the capital celebrated for several days… few people knew that the kid was a boy… although she would feel happy either way, Esmeralda was worried because her little brother and mother were still missing and the actions of the previous king and Joanis could still be felt to that day…
