Chapter 709 Golem dragons

Chapter 709 Golem dragons

After having a warm meal, the group reunited in the castle, but soon they dispersed when they were informed about the approach of the dragons…

"Liss and Asche will fight on the Eastern side with their troops since they have more flying dragons there, we will also send the magic squads there to help you guys," Rain said. "We will fight on the other side with the support of the sound squad. Try to keep the enemies away while we go all out from on our side."

"What if they don't care about the losses that they might suffer?" Asche asked.

"Then you can use Artisia's squad as you see fit," Rain replied. "Don't try to save mana, and do your best to keep the dragons away from the city."

Everyone nodded, and then they began to split. As Rain took his position on the western wall, a remarkable sight unfolded before him. In the distance, a wave of brown emerged, gradually taking form as it approached. These were the earth dragons, led by a colossal dragon constructed entirely from earth.

The majestic creature resembled a golem, towering over the landscape and moving at a deliberate pace, reminiscent of the iconic giant monster from movies from Earth that had been created thanks to the pollution that humans caused in the ocean…

The sheer size and imposing presence of the golem dragon left a lasting impression on those who witnessed its arrival, creating a terrifying moment on the battlefield. Golem dragons became them when earth dragons were filled with wrath… Rain didn't know why that was their sin… probably because they needed that much attack power since they were slow…

The creature walked on two feet, and it was one hundred meters tall… with its footsteps created cracks in the ground and made everyone who saw it gulp. There were five other golem dragons behind it, but they were only fifty meters tall. Other earth dragons were following them from behind, as slowly as well and Rain could also see thirty or so fire dragons in the sky.

"That will be a difficult one to knock down," Roan said. "I am almost missing the fact that I won't have to fight those flying monsters on the other side again."

Dana, Kei, Gila. Summon a downpour," Rain said.

Rain's sisters readily nodded and rain clouds appeared in the area in less than thirty seconds… water was the best option against fire and earth monsters, the only problem was the fact that the warriors used the earth version of Impulse, so their speed would decrease in that situation.

Despite that, they stepped forward with their spears and shields raised… they felt like they were being stepped to bit by the massive dragon golem, but that didn't stop them.

The massive rain cloud started to wet the area between the dragons and the capital, but that didn't stop the beasts from splitting and moving to the sides in order to avoid the rain altogether.

"Well, it seems that none of them are too prideful to come and attack us in a straight line, I am happy for it," Rain said.

"We are wasting mana…" Kei said while her eyebrows were twitching. Continue your journey on My Virtual Library Empire

"No, you are not," Rain said. "The rain is properly falling and wetting the area around the western side of the capital. The humidity is increasing as well. Those two things will respectively decrease the power of the earth dragons and fire dragons."

Rain had a point, but Kei wasn't the type to be satisfied enough with that… in any case, things started to get noisy on the other side of the capital and they could hear the sound of explosions… the fire dragons in the sky still weren't that close, but they sure were targeting the warriors on the ground.

Before long, the warriors on that side of the capital wondered what they should do… if things were kept like that, the groups of the dragons would split and then they would attack he norther and southern sides of the capital. Still, Rain ignored their concerns until the dragons were five hundred meters away from the walls and truly moved to attack those sides.

At that moment, Rain quickly raised his spear and then made the dark clouds expand in all directions. The dragons that were following the pace of the tall dragon golem were unable to outspeed the clouds and eventually were caught in the rain… that wasn't everything, though.

As the fire dragons tried to fly as fast as possible toward the capital when they felt danger alongside their bodies getting wet, the atmosphere became charged with an ominous energy. Rain's bloodlust, an invisible force driven by his intense desire for revenge, emanated from him like a palpable wave.

The skies crackled with tension as numerous lightning bolts materialized from the charged clouds. In a breathtaking display of elemental mastery, the bolts descended with impeccable accuracy, hitting the entire group of fire dragons. The unleashed electrical onslaught struck each fire dragon in rapid succession, leaving no room for escape or evasion.

The destructive symphony of thunder and lightning not only punished the fire dragons for their attack but showcased Rain's remarkable control over water. However, the cost was evident, as the extensive use of his magical prowess significantly depleted Rain's mana reserves. Moreover, the dragons weren't killed… they began to fall from the sky while dizzy.

It was impossible even for Rain to kill so many of them instantly.

"Dad, lead the charge to attack the fallen dragons," Rain said. "Focus only on them."

"All right!" Roan said and then smirked before jumping to the other side of the wall and in front of the warriors. "Tonight we shall feast drenched in fire dragon's blood, men! What do you say about that?"

The warriors roared with all their might in response to Roan's words and all of them used Impulse in the direction of the fire dragons who fell from the sky…
