Chapter 634 True potential

Chapter 634 True potential

"... All right, we will do that," Branden said.

After saying bye to Brenden and Esmeralda while they were speechless, Rain went to talk with his father and sisters, and he found his family there already. It was easy for them to move when they didn't have to transport hundreds of warriors. Experience more tales on empire

"Hey, I am glad to see that you are fine," Roan said while he was walking around carrying Danny and Annie on his shoulders while Sealyn was in Leiah's arms. "We noticed that the beast people were preparing to move, but they retreated yesterday."

"It was around the same time you attacked their barrier… how did they hear of that?" Seara frowned.

"Did you make more progress in the sound magic?" Terra asked.

"Not that much, since it isn't that useful for single combat yet," Rain said.

"I guess the enemy can do something at a higher level then…" Terra rubbed her chin thoughtfully.

Rain wasn't surprised to learn that the enemy could use telepathy or something similar, given that one of them could teleport. He had prior knowledge that the specialized soldiers in the past possessed the ability to communicate with each other without the need for spoken words. This was just another instance of the enemy utilizing such advanced techniques and knowledge.

"The enemy is going to be more cautious since you scared them, so we won't have to worry about large battles every few months," Roan said. "Things will end up in skirmishes for a while… the real problem is…"

"How much has this battle affected the dungeons here? I am going to check that soon," Rain said. "Dad, you have their support, but you should focus on improving Gluttonous Recovery as much as possible. We will need to keep improving the duration of for how long we can fight at our best since things will only get harder."

"Why do you change the name of that technique all the time?" Roan frowned. "Anyway, I guess we don't have any other choice… staying hungry keeps me motivated to train, so I guess it will be fine."

"I am returning home to start my next project. You two should stay here with the kids. They need to relax after staying in that town during the battle," Rain said.

Terra and Seara understood Rain's concerns about their children's well-being during the intense battle. The oppressive atmosphere on the battlefield made their kids restless and unusually quiet. To alleviate their stress and anxiety, it seemed like a good idea to have them stay with their doting grandparents, where they could find comfort and a sense of normalcy.

They nodded, and then Rain left the area and dashed home… Rain's wives understood the importance of their children's well-being and accepted the idea of having them stay with their grandparents for a while. However, they couldn't help but feel a bit worried.

Rain had been in fighting mode for quite some time, and it seemed like it might take a while for him to switch gears and return to his usual self. On the bright side, they hoped that his energy and focus in this state would be channeled into thorough preparations for the challenges that lay ahead.

As soon as Rain went home, he began to work on the next part of his tunnel. There were several reasons for that… he wanted to keep improving his ice magic, and he was able to use the ocean water for that. He made the water dig even further downward using the frozen water like a spinning spear.

The second reason was that he wanted a route more clear to the demi-humans territory. It seemed a bit too soon to visit her, but she was the most knowleaable person that Rain knew and he wanted some ideas of who the enemies were… although he had the idea of the identity of one of them…

The third reason was the fact that the third technique that belonged to the next species of dragons was something that he probably could only learn underwater. The next type of dragons were the kraken dragons… as much as that name didn't make much sense.

According to Isa, the creature looked a bit like a kraken since it liked to live in underwater caves and also had multiple arms that seemed like tentacles.

They liked to live in such places because few dragons could head there and their sin was greed, so they liked to hide their treasures were few enemies could try to steal things from them. They rarely would leave those areas, unless they heard of new treasures would want add them to their collection.

"While I know that this is necessary, I also think that I might be causing more problems for my future self by trying to learn more of those abilities that rely heavily on carnal desires," Rain thought. "This might cause my downfall in the end."

Rain couldn't help but feel that the older he gets, the more worried he becomes almost about everything… to counterbalance that, he had decided to evolve other paths as well, that was why he used it during the war the Physical Path after so long. Aside from that, he also wanted the final skills of each path since they were mostly pretty overpowered.

Level 100: Sage's Ascendancy - Achieve the pinnacle of wisdom and power, unlocking the full potential of your mana and wisdom, and gaining access to the full power of the abilities of the Sage's Path. + 03% percent effectiveness when using magic per level.

Level 100: Aquamancer Supreme Ascend as the ultimate Aquamancer, mastering the pinnacle of water manipulation. Unleash unparalleled skills as a true Aquamancer master. Decreases the cost of water spells by ten points per level.

"Only two… but eventually, I will get more and they will be another foundation to my strength," Rain thought. "I just need to find the right balance of using the skills that use the power of sins… I feel like I am not as calm as I was before…"
