Chapter 1002 Departure-4

"Sit. I can tell that you have something on your mind." Samuel motioned to her. He could be a bit silly and teasing at time doting on the girls but from the look on Anastasiya's face, he knew he had to become his 'boss' self.

Anastasiya nodded, she was glad that he was taking her seriously even after what happened in the morning. She just wanted to experience the joy of being herself before they parted. Only she could describe how much she enjoyed spending time with not just him but with Nicole and others. It was baffling to think that she could have friends considering her 'profession'.

" These last few weeks really opened my eyes to many things." She said with a smile hinting at something playful partly to diffuse the tense atmosphere and rest because she was feeling hesitant to share her thoughts.

" But at the same time, I got to meet so many people and also witnessed what type of person you are. I am sure in my ability to guess anyone general character which was why I readily agreed when you asked for my cooperation." She was talking about Helga and Katarina's situation.

" It's alright. I also feel a little ashamed when I first met you after all, I thought you were crazy and reckless." He chuckled but these were his real thoughts. Through spending time together, he got to know the real person behind her flamboyant persona.

She was more motherly than she would dare to admit probably because she already had a child and was currently living away from him. Even others looked up to her like big sister always asking for her suggestion, it's just most of the time it would be too far out to consider her proposals! After all, her 'plan' to get his mind off Helga's situation was to invite girls to accompany him?

" You think I am crazy?" She snorted but it was just fake anger.

" Of course, nine out of then people will agree with me but I think that suits you very well. But I am sure you already know about it."

" I like you a lot though." He tilted his head making her fluster for a moment.

" Ahem, I don't think it's appropriate for you to flirt to blatantly. I am here on a very serious matter."

" Go on." He stopped playing around and let her continue.

" It's just when I first met you, I thought you were the only way for me to get my son out of that place. I was desperate and I think you knew it at that time. The thing about my sister is also true...but knowing you I don't think you would accept this condition either way, I think you will like her after meeting her once."

" There you go mentioning absurd things again. Can't you stop 'selling' your sister to me like some common goods?"

" What do you mean by selling? It's....nevermind. I think you will understand when you meet my family especially my mother and grandmother. They would like you a lot and I don't think it would matter if you take in my sister too!"

Samuel was speechless for a moment. He didn't know what was wrong with her brain and why she was trying so hard to push her sister like a one plus one deal. When he first met her, he did want to investigate everything about her. It's just he was too busy at that time and seeing that she posed no harm he postponed it for few days.

That's when the incident happen where she confessed to taking her own husband's life. She looked so pitiful but there was not even an ounce of guilt in her voice, she was distressed about it because it led to her being separated from her one and only son. He didn't know how old she was but she didn't look like someone who would have a nine year old child.

He could easily tell that she had very deep wounds and he didn't want to disturb the tactful understanding they built up during that time. It was better to know about her later because even if he wanted to do something about her situation, he couldn't do it without paying heavy losses himself.

Seeing him dazed in thought, she smiled and said," You really remind me of my grandfather."

" I heard it at least a dozen times. I really can't wait to meet him." Hearing him say it, a sudden sadness flashed in her eyes.

" I am afraid that's not possible. He passed away years ago but he was pretty famous especially in my country!" She said with admiration in her tone.

" I am sorry."

" Don't be. It's been many years...right, I was saying. I will fulfill my end of the deal. I have already made plans but it had to be done through back channels because I don't have much authority at the organization. I can tell that even if you and Helga had a falling out, you would still help her from the shadows so I will try to keep it a secret as much as possible." She knew him quite well.

He was generous to his friends and ruthless to his enemies.

" You said it first!" She almost shot up hearing him say it. If she wanted something in future, she could just cash in her one time debt!

" There is also the issue of girls you brought back. I will try to arrange it so that they could safely be transported out of the country. It would be hard considering who we are up against but with proper contact and some money, it can be done.

Rockefellers might be giant but people like me move in shadows, it's just they had to keep their mouth shut or else everything would be exposed again." She emphasized the 'again' so that Samuel didn't do anything crazy like sending them to nearest police station like before!
