Chapter 76 Two Minutes

The next morning, Ken prepared himself for the date, as he also got his siblings ready for school.

While he was done with all this, he sat down and wondered while looking at his phone.

"Why hasn't she called me yet." This is when the thought hit him.

After he had ended the call with last night, Ken remembered that they didn't exchange locations.

At first, he didn't take this as a matter. He just brushed it off and thought that she could text him later that night, or the next morning.

However, this was already 12 noon. His siblings had already gone to school for the past four hours. And here he was, sitting on the sofa and reasoning about his life.

"Urggh…!" Ken growled, as he leaned towards the ground. "…after all the hype I had yesterday.

Ken fell on the, and instantly sat upright on the ground. He had a disappointing facial expression, as if he had just been let down.

"I guess I'll just have to wait for her to call me.

Ken opened his phone, and saw that he still hadn't responded to Vivian. She had been calling him day and night nonstop.

However, Ken didn't give her his time now. He simply had a lot on his plate and this definitely wasn't a time to be distracted.

After reasoning it, he dropped his phone on the sofa and then opened the system.

It displayed his current mission. And also his profile. However, this wasn't what Ken wanted to see.

He wanted to see his status.. He wanted to take this opportunity to plan out the date with Mandy and how he was going to use his skill on her.

"Let's see here…" Ken uttered, as he placed his hand on his chin.

Although there was one set back. Using it for too long would make him completely drained.

"I guess I would just have to hold on, from using the STR for now, unless it is necessary."

"Okay for the Eye Of Attractiveness." Ken uttered as he lifted himself back to the sofa.

Ken sighed as he said all this. However, he didn't even know exactly how he was going to orchestrate his plan.

"Should I just use it, immediately I see her?" He wondered.

"No. That would be so foolish. She can't just start falling in love with me the moment she sees me. That would be unprofessional."

Ken instantly stood up from the sofa and began walking back and forth.

"Or maybe I should do it when we are leaving after the date?" He said, with his hand still on his chin, as he walked.

"No… no… no. That couldn't be good also. I have to do it there and there. I still have the mission to make her submit to me."

Ken then looked at the system, and then it displayed the mission he had with Mandy.

"This is the first time I am seeing a reward change. Then again, I am still getting used to the system."

Ken sat down back on the sofa while he closed the system.

"Oh… wait!" he exclaimed. "…I haven't finished my plan with Mandy."

Ken began to think about how he was going to make the best of his plan. He had a very serious expression on his face, with his hand still on his chin.

He looked like a mathematics teacher, trying to figure out the solution to a specific problem.

Just as he was about to stand up, with an expression that he had already gotten the right plan, his phone rang.

"Who…?" Ken uttered, while he turned and picked up his phone. "Mandy…!" He exclaimed, as he saw her name displayed on his screen.

"Hi…!" Ken uttered, as he picked it and placed the phone on his ear.

[[Hi… I am very sorry for falling late]] Mandy apologized, on the other side of the phone.

[[I was having a rough time taking Sheeny to school this morning, so I had to rush back again to get ready, and…]]

While she was explaining all that had happened to her, Ken thought.

'I don't still understand why she's telling me all this, but still it sounds like she was actually rushing. I can tell her heavy breath.'

[[Ken…?]] Mandy called out, but didn't get any response, because Ken was deep in his thoughts.

[[Are you still there…?]] She exclaimed this time, since Ken didn't respond to her earlier.

"O-Oh y-yeah… I am hearing you. I understand, it's alright." He said, as he tried to reply with a sentence which would indicate that he was listening.

However, that didn't fool Mandy, as she asked.

[[Are you busy doing something?]] She asked, as her voice sounded curious and disappointed.

Ken, noticing this didn't understand why she even had to ask him such a question. This wasn't the same lady he knew the last time he saw her.

'Did something happen to her recently…?' Ken thought, and afterwards responded.

"Oh no I am not," He uttered.

As he finished talking, there was a moment of silence. On the other side of the phone, was completely silent, as Ken couldn't hear Mandy's voice or the sound that he was hearing earlier. And then…

"Mandy?…" He called out. "…are you still there?" But still, there wasn't any response.

Ken thought maybe she left the phone and went to something, or she was just being silent to pay him back for what had happened earlier.

'But she couldn't do that' Ken thought. '…I mean it wouldn't make sense if she is trying to pay me back. I didn't even know that she was talking at that time.'

Even after all this wondering, there was still nothing on the other side of the phone.

"Maybe it's bad nextwork?" Ken mumbled. "Sigh"

Ken waited for sometime if she would come back, but there was still nothing. And then he hung up.

"It would be a bad network, so let's see if she could again."

Ken waited on the sofa for thirty seconds, but didn't hear anything from his phone. And then he concluded.

It was a bad network.

Seeing this as an opportunity, Ken stood up to go to his bedroom, while he left his phone in the leaving room.

As he entered his bedroom, he opened his wardrobe to see if there was anything he wanted to get.

In other words, he was checking to see if there was any style of clothes he needed to buy, based on the trend.

However, he couldn't find any. His mind wasn't actually in what he was about to do.

Ken spent about two minutes, searching for what he couldn't find. And when he finally got tired, he went back to the living room.

On getting to where his phone was, he saw that it had just turned off, and instantly he quickly grabbed it.

Ken picked up his phone and to his surprise, he saw ten missed calls, and three texts from Mandy, and then he uttered.

"All this, just under the blink of two minutes…?"
