[Way Back… Before Ken And Emma Had S^x]
[Few Minutes After Ken Approached Kimberly And Emma At The Front Of The Restaurant]
You can go back to chapter 63 to find out what happened at the end, if you seem confused.
..
"Hey… Emma we have decided where we are going to go!" Kimberly exclaimed, bringing Emma back from her thoughts.
"Oh is that so…?" She uttered, subconsciously.
With all the thinking that Emma just had, she tried to form a smile on her face as she walked towards Kimberly.
"Yes…both I and Ken have decided that we are going to have it in the Dating Nation." Kimberly responded.
Emma nodded, while she felt this emotion that her friend was going to leave her.
Although it was supposed to be a good thing, because she had always wanted the best for Kimberly.
However, that wasn't the case here. Instead of her being happy for her friend, she felt both sad and jealous.
Ken was a hot shot. He was the kind of guy that could make Kimberly happy. And just from seeing how they both communicated, was enough to tell Emma all she had to know.
..
Since back in the days, Emma had always been the cheerful one, while Kimberly was the quiet one.
There were both friends before they entered college. And after graduating together, they continued to still be friends.
Emma was just one year older than Kimberly, which was twenty-two.
They had both graduated from college at a very young age, which was just a year ago.
Even after their graduation, Emma continued to be the cheerful one among them.
While Kimberly,… well she was just the opposite.
However, after sometime, Emma began to worry about her not having a very sociable life.
Kimberly was always forced on her job, and left everything else. She was trying to get enough money to sponsor herself for what she wanted to do in the future.
Knowing all this, Emma still didn't want her friend to work herself to the point that she wouldn't be able to find a man who would take her for who she was.
And then she introduced the dating app to Kimberly.
This was an opportunity for Kimberly to meet various men, talk to them, and if she was lucky, find one to be her soulmate.
However, this had been impossible. For the past three months since she started using the app, she hasn't seen that one guy.
Still, even with this slow progress, Emma didn't stop trying to find that one guy for her best friend.
She kept pushing Kimberly to find that one guy. Although, Kimberly was cooperative with her, however she would always turn down the guys that always asked her for a relationship.
For some time, Emma thought that it was hopeless trying to find a guy for Kimberly, however she didn't give up..
She knew that Kimberly was a pretty lady and had the right curves. This was a thing that almost all the guys would fall in love with her for.
But still Kimberly didn't give in.
..
However, now with this guy—Ken. With Ken being brought into her life, she might just actually had find that one guy she has been looking for.
Or so you thought?
Emma was a good friend to Kimberly…yes. Although, with all the effort and support that she had been putting into Kimberly, made her forget about her own self.
Even with her beauty, she was still able to attract guys attention. Although it wasn't compared to that of Kimberly.
And so she thought. Instead of just sitting back and watching them go, she would claim what if supposed to be hers.
In her mind, this was her thinking of getting revenge for her friend not ever looking her way and not ever being grateful for her support.
'So she thinks that she could just find the perfect guy and walk away…?' Emma thought. '…think again b"tch.'
She was jealous.
..
"Alright, we would be going now…" Emma proclaimed. "…would you hang around or head home instead?" She asked Emma.
Upon hearing this, Emma snapped from her thoughts and was puzzled.
"Oh-h…I think I would head home instead." She uttered.
"Okay…bye." Kimberly said as she waved to Emma.
"It was nice meeting you…" Ken said as she gave her a nice smile and left with Kimberly.
They both entered a cab and headed to the dating nation.
However, Emma just stood there and felt the silence that came instantly. Although, she was near the road, so the sounds of the vehicles passing could be heard.
However, Emma didn't hear any of those. She was deep in her thoughts.
"Go home instead…?" Emma uttered. "haha…" She chuckled, while shaking her head.
"She thinks I would just go home like that.…?" She exclaimed. "…that's not going to happen."
Emma had a smirk on her face, while she called for a cab. "Take me to the dating nation." She ordered, the moment she entered the vehicle.
She was going to the same place where Ken and Kimberly were to have their date. And she had only one mission in mind.
Which was to spy on them and afterwards get Ken to be hers.
It was a plan she had already orchestrated.
_
Ken and Kimberly reached their destination safely, as they came down from the vehicle.
"Wow…!" Ken uttered in amazement as he looked through the place…
The place was a kaleidoscope of energy and charm, nestled within the heart of the city, a sprawling complex known as the nexus.
The entrance shimmered with vibrant neon lights, casting hues of electric blue, warm gold, and soft pink onto the bustling crowd that swarmed in and out like a tide.
Inside, the air was alive with laughter and music, a perfect blend of nostalgia and modern thrill..
Ken looked to the right, a cozy retirement lounge glowed under soft amber lightning, its velvet chairs and mahogany tables creating an intimate oasis amidst the excitement.
"Isn't this place supposed to be for young folks…?" Ken asked Kimberly with a curious expression.
"Yes. Why did you ask…?" She responded.
"Look…"
Ken pointed, and in a direction, elderly couples sat hand in hand, sharing stories over steaming cups of tea, their presence a tender reminder of enduring love.
Kimberly smiled and turned to Ken saying. "Well… as you can see they are love birds."
"It's true that this place is a place for dates, but that doesn't mean it applies to the young ones alone." She explained. "…I mean just look at them. Such a lovely thing to see."
"I see…" Ken uttered.
He then continued scanning, and so did Kimberly.
At the center, was an arcade buzzed with a symphony of electronic bleeps and cheerful shouts.
Rows of retro and modern games blinked and whirred in a riot of colors. Red, green, and purple flashing against the polished black floor
Further in, there was a theater beckoned with crimson drapes and a golden marquee. Movies posters flickered on digital displays promising everything from romantic comedies to thrillers.
The theater hall itself was intimate, with plush seats and a ceiling painted to resemble a starry night, perfect for stolen glances in the dark.
Furthermore, there was a small rooftop garden, where couples could escape the noise, the city skyline twinkling in the distance.
The scent of blooming jasmine and the gentle hum of the world below created a serene contrast to the energy inside
It was a place where love, young or old, felt right at home. A tapestry of laughter, light and endless possibilities.
After viewing and taking it all in, Kimberly then turned to Ken and asked.
"Where do we start… first?"
