Song Yixu felt her head swoon when she heard that Ying Nan had to give up his name because of his family and their stubborn insistence. She rubbed her forehead feeling sorry for her lover as she knew what it meant to give up his name.

Ying Nan—-no, Yu Yin must have felt really disappointed in his family for him to make a decision like this and on a day like this, she was not with him. Song Yixu felt really disappointed and guilty when she thought how aggrieved Yu Yin must have felt.

"Mistress Song, do we need to suppress this news?" asked her assistant who came with her.

Song Yixu nodded. Her mother was not a problem as she did not care whom Song Yixu married as long as she could lead the Song family. Yu Yin was looking at the table filled with food in front of him, he raised his head and looked at Yu Dong.

"What is this?" He asked. He did not think that there was any occasion that would fit this grand meal.

Yu Dong smiled at him and replied, "On the occasion of you becoming my sworn brother, I think we should hold a small party."

"S...Sworn brother?" Yu Yin was startled. He did not know what to say as he was certain that he asked Yu Dong to make him her slave.

"Why are you so surprised," Yu Dong questioned as she sat down with Yu Mai on her lap. He was still pouting and glaring at Li Yuya who was sitting three chairs away in the lap of Yu Ji, her father.

She wasn't intimidated by the glare of Yu Mai and was sending one across the table with the same intensity as Yu Mai.

Yu Dong pressed her finger in Yu Mai's cheeks, which were puffed up and wasn't surprised when they were smacked down by Yu Mai, he was getting more and more rebellious with each day. "If I make you a slave then you will have a hard time marrying Song Yixu, at least this way you will have a family to lean on."

Yu Dong hadn't forgotten all the help that Song Yixu had given to her, it was because of Song Yixu that she was able to get close to Qiao Sha and Li Wan. If not for her, it would be difficult for her to survive in this land.

This was something that she could do for her.

When Yu Yin heard Yu Dong say that she was going to accept him as a sworn brother instead of a slave, his eyes filled with tears. "Now enough with the tears," Yu Tong announced as she placed two jars of wine on the table. She looked at the members of her family and then said to them, "Let's get on with this party, that includes you and Yuya, Mai." She said to the two kids who were still looking sullen despite being coaxed several times.

Yu Mai and Li Yuya glanced at one another before looking away with a huff. Seeing them act like this, everyone laughed as they thought that it was just a childish fight.

If only they knew.
