Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle

Chapter 451 Shane's Desire

Chapter 451 Shane's Desire

As their plan was set, everyone else waited for Shane to give his signal.

At this time, they watched as the Survivors tried their best by using various tools and abilities to deal with the Liches and their summons. They have various items in their possession that they probably bought in the Marketplace, but even after using all of them, the battle was still not in their favor.

Soon, Shane confirmed, based on their actions, that Borin was slowly retreating… This leader probably realized that the Necromancer was still not using his full force and was still waiting for something to happen.

It means that their attack against this Wild Shelter wasn't that big of a deal; they just have yet to force the Necromancer to attack!

"Alright… The Liches overextended… We'll go in now." Shane said as he felt that their chances of killing the Liches would be a lot higher if they were too far from the Necromancer.

Kael finally smiled after hearing this. He then held his glaive and positioned himself to charge.

"Time to show these undead who's boss."

As Shane's group descended from the rocks, they split into formation.

Shane activated his Veiled Steps as he darted near Borin…

Borin was shocked for a moment, but he immediately realized what was going on…

'So this guy was the reason why the Necromancer was being so cautious.' Borin thought.

Shane smiled, seeing the composed Borin.

'I guess this will be easy…' Shane thought for a moment.

"You're Borin from the ROTK Clan, right? We'll be taking over now… Since you opened a path for us, lured the Liches, and broke the gate, we'll only take the loot from the two Liches, the Necromancer, and the Shelter Crystal… Everything else within the Shelter can be yours…" Shane said.

Well, he could just act like a tyrant and take everything for himself, and he could even eliminate these survivors. However, if these Survivors were good people, he would regret pushing them while they're down.

It was better to help them now and possibly gain an ally. In any case, once they betrayed him, it wouldn't be too late to deal with them and loot their corpses after killing the Necromancer.

"I remember you now… You must really be that rich bidder. Fine… You can go ahead and take those. We'll be taking this whole Shelter then. Just don't cause too much damage." Borin said as he was actually planning to make this place his territory.

With or without Shelter Crystal, he could certainly do it once they killed the current undead residents.

"Great! Just order your team to move back, and my team will take care of the rest." Shane said as he moved toward Kael, who had used his Armored Dash to close into the Liches.

"Kill the Lich!"

Shane ordered his team as he returned to their side…

His Gale Blade soon became blurred as he struck the summoned Shadow Ghouls and killed them one by one… This Legendary Grade weapon was certainly different as it could slice through the Ghoul's defensive aura with ease.

There were still plenty of these Ghouls on the path but Shane only attacked those in front as he simply aimed to kill the Lich…

It was the same for Kael, so the remaining ones had to deal with the Ghouls that were spared.

"Come!"

Seeing that Shane was about to deal with the first Lich, Kael charged the second Lich, his Guardian's Warcry was activated, and he also triggered his Abyssal Strike! Experience more tales on empire

His glaive suddenly became unstoppable as he crushed anything in his path!

Boom! Boom! Boom!

As soon as he arrived in front of the Lich, Kael struck with all of his might, forcing the Lich to cast a wall of bones and retreat.

Crash!

The Lich could have no other choice but to retreat after seeing how ineffective his Curses and other spells were!

In the meantime, Nia, Vernon, and Lysandra eliminated all the remaining Ghouls…

Nia threw a vial of her crafted toxin at the Shadow Ghouls… The substance dispersed their defensive aura and allowed Vernon and Lysandra to eliminate them like normal undead creatures…

"This is just too amazing… I didn't expect Druidess would have such abilities." Lysandra muttered as she couldn't help but feel impressed. After all, she just saw how the members of the ROTK Clan struggle against these Ghouls.

It was as if they had intangible bodies that couldn't be hurt. However, with their swords and bullets, nothing like that happened thanks to Nia's assistance…

Lysandra then glanced at Shane as she confirmed that Shane's weapon was truly special since he didn't need Nia's assistance.

Anyway, the rest of the ROTK Clan noticed the newcomers, but Borin immediately informed them about Shane's group. He actually kept his part of the deal and just ordered them to back off and let the newcomers deal with the Necromancer and his summons.

"Faster…" Shane muttered to himself.

With his team now in the fray, the momentum of the battle shifted once more.

The first Lich fell under Shane's series of attacks… He even used the Lightning Talisman he obtained from Aya to ensure a swift kill.

Well, he still has a lot of Talismans from Aya, the young Shaman of the Springriver Manor.

[ You have eliminated a Lich. ]

As he got the message, its skeletal form collapsed into a pile of dust, leaving only the black gem or stone on the ground.

The Necromancer, realizing that the newcomers were strong, ordered his remaining Lich to retreat!

"As if I'd allow that!" Kael laughed as he saw the Lich's action.

He intercepted its escape by using another Armored Dash and, with his mighty slash, the Lich had no choice but to raise its staff to try and block in such a close range.

Crash!

The Lich was obviously incapable of blocking that powerful strike from a huge figure like Kael…

The staff it was using to cast Dark Spells was cut in half and Kael's glaive didn't stop at all. It continued slicing through the body of the Lich and killing it effectively!

[ You have eliminated a Lich. ]

As the second Lich fell, the remaining undead army crumbled as well. Their connection to the dark magic was severed since their summoners died…

Seeing this, even the members of the ROTK Clan felt excited. They had no idea who these helpers were, but knowing that their Clan Leader was aware of them, they could only think that these people were the hidden elite team of their rank.

At the very least, that was what they would like to think, seeing how strong they were.

A collective cheer erupted from the Survivors, but Borin's gaze turned toward Shane… He knew very well that the death of the Liches was not the end.

Nonetheless, after the chaos of the battle subsided, Shane decided it was time to finish the job.

The Wild Shelter was weakened, but the Necromancer who had commanded the undead hordes remained standing…

Knowing this enemy's strength, Shane decided to go in alone and instructed his team…

He activated his Veiled Steps, becoming nearly invisible as he slipped into the ruined Shelter.

The atmosphere inside was thick with the stench of death and decay, and he could even swear that he could hear some ghosts whispering near his ears…

Shane's grip tightened on his Gale Blade as he charged to the Shelter.

The Necromancer seemed to be aware of what was going on and also retreated to the heart of the Shelter.

Shane's eyes narrowed as he chased after the fleeing Necromancer.

'Oh? You're leading me here?' Shane thought as he entered the main building…

He soon saw the Necromancer cloaked in black robes like that of a Dark Magician's Robe. He stood before an altar adorned with skulls and glowing orbs of dark energy.

"You think you can face me alone, little Survivor?" The Necromancer hissed, its voice raspy and really chilling to hear...

As he said this, the room also grew colder… The Necromancer then raised its staff as if it wielded the Dark Energy within the room and gathered it around him.

Shane smiled as he knew that the others wouldn't have strong mind control defense… If he brought the others here, they would just cause trouble to him.

"Hmph… I'm not the one who should be worried," Shane replied with his calm voice.

The Necromancer sneered and no longer spoke.

With a wave of its staff, it summoned Bone Constructs, gigantic skeletal warriors wielding massive bone swords… With another wave, it summoned Wraithbound Spirits, ethereal figures that drifted through the air like specters…

"Is that it?" Shane mocked after seeing all the Necromancer's summons.

Without waiting for a reply, he then activated Shadow Hunt, blending into the darkness around him.

His form became one with the darkness, and swiftly, he struck at the first Bone Construct.

It wasn't with his sword or other weapon but with his own punch!

In just a few seconds, his Brawler Fury's ninth punch struck!

Boom!

The powerful strike destroyed a huge part of the Bone Construct, but the Necromancer just laughed after seeing this…

'Oh… It can do that?' Shane smiled after seeing shattered bones begin to knit themselves back together.

"Reanimation won't save you," Shane muttered as he shifted his tactics.
