Chapter 139 Seraphina (2)

Chapter 139 Seraphina (2)

I welcomed them to the temple, and like in a regular church, they began to sit in rows. Each of these women was at least a demi-god. Due to the training I received, I was a middle-class god at that time. I began to explain the reasoning for making the temple. The women began to listen closely to my words and agreed with my plans.

The church would be in the creator's name but a safe zone for the women who still had feelings for Caelir. While they stay here, they will be safe from outside influences and can train to become stronger. They could still leave when they wanted to because if they didn't, this safe zone wouldn't be safe.

I made a couple of rules for everybody before we began to make our influence known throughout the universe. We also built many temples and churches for people to pray to. Of course, I did this with the permission of the creator; otherwise, I would have died of blasphemy.

While I defected from the faction, that didn't mean that I didn't respect or admire the creator. I still prayed to him when I had the time or thought about it. After a couple of years since launch, we have amassed a big following in the universe. We first went to where Caelir was famous and set up churches there.

We knew that he could have charmed women he met while traveling, even indirectly, so we wanted to make them feel welcome. All kinds of women came to the opening, and they began to fill in the places of nuns or priestesses. But one thing was common with all of them. They all loved Caelir.

While those women on the planet were mortal, with the help of over five hundred goddesses, they eventually trained their way to Godhood. Most people in the early stages loved Caelir, but those in the organization faded a bit when the first people became gods and had to look for successors.

Now, the people operating the churches are devout followers of the creator, and the people who followed Caelir were gods, so they were in the upper echelon of the organization. Everybody was happy because while the love for Caelir stayed alive, the mortals still had their temples where they could pray.

Even Ella, whom we regarded as an enemy, became a friend because of her love for Caelir, and even though it took some time, we stopped blaming her for Caelir's death.

Other gods, like the ones that killed Caelir, were regarded as enemies by almost everybody in the universe, but they were protected by the universe's ruler. That is why the universe's ruler and those gods were like a strong royal family that nobody liked.

People also stopped following their orders as soon they knew the ruler wouldn't do anything to Sylvana or the people under her. While those gods already regarded the church and Sylvana as an enemy beforehand, now that animosity grew even stronger.

Seraphina was so annoyed at Arzyna when she let a church explode because she thought it was one of those gods sabotaging and harming her people again. While the ruler didn't do anything to Sylvana and her followers, that didn't mean that Sylvana could move against them.

She is still only the second most powerful person in the universe and not the strongest, so an all-out fight would be to our disadvantage. So the gods under the ruler used sneaky methods to harm us and our followers, while we just had to defend ourselves because those people didn't have that many followers, and when they did have them, they would most likely be slaves.

The gods under the ruler don't care about anything other than their own power, so if they could have a fast power boost and some slaves, it would be best to believe that the next day they would have them. But just as the ruler covered up some actions from his underlings, that didn't mean that we didn't do anything.

We killed some gods, and with Sylvana's help, we were always free from suspicion. While not confronting each other face to face, we continued fighting this way. The silent war is still ongoing, with no winner in sight. The only thing we know is that we have to get stronger so that we can defend ourselves.

After Arzyna let the church explode, I challenged her to a duel like I always did to let off some steam due to her frustrations. I didn't expect the master to walk into the arena with Ella and another girl. I found it a bit weird but welcomed her, and after knowing that she was the one who had the master's blessing, I began to understand it a bit.

When I checked Jasmine out, I saw that she wasn't a virgin anymore, and I found it weird. Normally, the women who are allowed to come here are the ones who were in love with Caelir, not just random women. I questioned it, but knowing that she had another master was understandable. Not everybody has the grace to know Caelir.

When I focused back on Ella, I saw she looked better than the last time I saw her. I asked what was up and learned that my beloved Caelir had been reborn. That news made me so happy, and knowing that I could finally devote my body to him was the breaking point. I wanted to go to him immediately but was held back by that stupid demoness that broke through.

When she was finished, I got the order to go and meet him. My happiness was overflowing as I began to make my journey towards Caelir. My mind was filled with the memories we had together, and even though I knew that he was reborn, I hoped that he still remembered me and our time together.

When I arrived close to the coordinates, I flew to the planet closest to it and waited to see if I could sense him. I closed my eyes and tried to search for him. Not even a second later, I found him. The familiar presence made water out of my eyes, but I held back for a moment before meeting him.

I wanted to know what was happening in this world because it was wildly irregular. Why is there a connection between this world and another universe? The universal tree should have fixed such a situation. He should have stopped this pathway from forming.

I went and got a closer look at what was happening and found out that this connection was made by the ruler and not because of nature. Looking back at the world, I felt a couple of God-king presences on it, so I was sure that if they really wanted to, they could close it, but they didn't.

I let it be and went to meet Caelir, or Jack as he is now called. I smiled when I found him again alone in a park right in the middle of a city. I moved at the speed of light and appeared at the park's entrance. I hid my presence to the best of my abilities. Now, as a high-class god and a god of light, masking my presence is as easy as breathing.

I slowly walked towards Jack. When I was close to him, he looked up, and upon seeing me, he opened his eyes wide. "Seraphine." A single tear left my eye as I ran up to him and jumped in his arms. He stood up and opened his arms wide to catch me. I saw his loving eyes boring into me, and I had missed it.

His touch, his breath, his presence I missed all of it. Tears were coming out of my eyes, but his presence calmed me, so I stopped quickly. As my legs were locked around his waist, he had his hands on my ass. It was the first time someone touched me there, and I liked it.

I had prayed for so many years for him to touch my body, and now my wish was coming true. My face was in his neck, but I raised myself so that my face was before his, and I went closer. He didn't pull away, and soon enough, our lips met. 'Ahhh, I love this feeling. I have been missing this for all my life.'

Wild thoughts were going through my mind, but I buried most of them. I kept kissing Jack and meeting his tongue in his and my mouth. We exchanged saliva before catching our breath. We were breathing heavily, but I didn't care. "I missed you." My voice was soft, but the look he gave me was softer.

"I missed you, too." Jack put his face in my neck as he spoke. He gave it some kisses before just hugging me and sitting down again. I was sitting on his lap when he sat down and just kept hugging him. His presence alone was soothing for me, so I stayed like that.
