Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4192 Iesha's Child

Chapter 4192 Iesha's Child

Chapter 4192  Iesha's Child

The hall was filled with expectant whispers of those who had gathered to witness the birth of a human-spirit fey child. Nearly every sister was present in the scene to eagerly witness this wonderful occasion.

Davis was inside the chamber with Natalya, Tanya, Pia, and Iesha.

He watched them aid Iesha in delivering the baby as the entire chamber turned icy.

"Hgggh~"

Iesha clenched her teeth, feeling intense pain. At this point, her body, which could see pass through most materials, became corporeal to the max, as though she had gone stiff, so the contractions she endured were also painful. She couldn't relax at all.

Davis pursed his lips, his expression full of worry as this was going on for half an hour. He never knew that a spirit giving birth to a human baby could be this painful. After all, a true spirit baby would just split off like some splint from a candle. He heard spirits wouldn't experience pain but bliss when giving birth. However, this was just the opposite.

He felt like he was making Iesha go through torture, making him feel guilty.

Nonetheless, he held Iesha's hand on one side, constantly comforting her. He didn't use life energy because that might harm the child instead since the child was the one causing the pain.

"Weii!~ Weii!~"

After fifteen minutes, Iesha finally managed to have a release.

"Ah…"

She heaved a sound of relief, but it was also filled with exhaustion. She felt like she had just lost something and closed her eyes.

"Iesha…"

Davis looked at the baby cry before he hurriedly glanced at Iesha. The bottom of her eyes turned dark rapidly, causing her to look like she was going to lose her life.

Davis hurriedly sent waves of soul sense into her body to check her condition. He could see an icy light in her womb that slowly spread throughout her body and made its way to her soul. It constantly nourished her, flooding her with dense yet pure ice energy that came from the child, but it was also like poison.

It was thought that spirit children innately preyed on their own mothers so they could become powerful in one fell swoop. Hence, this poisoning was termed as a child attacking their own mother, but obviously, no spirit mother would come to terms with that kind of explanation, much less the entire spirit race.

Besides, they didn't die from this poisoning but died from the exhaustion of their spirit soul leaving their body because the child required that spirit soul for it to grow. The more children spirit females have, the more they become susceptible to this kind of death.

"I'm fine…" Iesha's bosoms heaved as she took deep breaths while gasping.

She looked at Davis, smiling at him as she reassured him.

"I told you nothing will happen. You are safe." Davis brought her cold hand closer and kissed her.

He looked at her with a gaze full of love and affection. Just as he wanted to look at the baby, he suddenly noticed something strange.

Pia held the baby in her arms. It was a girl baby.

This girl baby possessed pale white skin but resembled her mother very much since she also possessed blue icy skin near her joints like elbows and knees. Her shimmering silvery hair was already long enough to reach her little feet. She looked extremely adorable while she hugged herself like a baby would.

However, the girl baby glowed with a soft, icy light, and the air in the ceiling felt rather electrifying.

"This is… a heavenly phenomenon…!"

Natalya was the first one to notice as she exclaimed.

Abruptly, a ball of ice materialized and descended from nowhere, its surface radiating an extreme amount of ice energy. The air in the room grew extremely cold even though it was already cold, considering Iesha was unable to control her powers during the push, causing everything around her to freeze.

The chamber was covered in a layer of frost, and the light of the icy star pulsed brighter and brighter as though it was alive.

"A heir to the Eternal Winter Star is born~"

An ancient voice came from the void, startling Davis as he stood up and stared at it. His karmic eyes activated, and he could see a blue thread extending from the icy star to his child. A blue thread meant friendly and loyalty, so he relaxed, getting rid of the killing intent that rose in his heart.

He didn't know if this icy star was alive or not, but he certainly watched it in awe.

Natalya and the others also watched in awe.

It wasn't exactly their first time witnessing a heavenly phenomenon, but this was extraordinary. They couldn't see its true form, making them think this might be a manifestation of some kind of star spirit or perhaps some treasure at the Exalt Grade.

This heavenly phenomenon didn't stay for much time. It disappeared soon after saying its piece, leaving behind an icy room.

Iesha blinked.

She was no longer in pain and quickly recovered. The exhaustion would quickly take her out or not if it failed to. This meant she survived on her own, but she was already fed with resources that lowered the chances of her death, so she had a few others to thank as well.

Davis heaved a sigh of relief, thinking nothing was going to screw him over today.

Perhaps the Whispering Wildlands Realm Master was going to ambush him today, but he didn't care.

He walked towards his lovely daughter and held her close, hugging her gently before he brought her to Iesha.

"Look, she's our child… our lovely daughter…"

"Xiesha~"

Iesha called out to her baby, and her bluish bottom lip stuck out. She looked like she was going to cry as she accepted the baby. She had seen spirit babies. Right after being born, they could fly and be playful, but this child of hers was sleeping peacefully and innocently.

She could see this was definitely a human-spirit baby. The more vulnerable it seemed, the more it triggered her protective instincts, and she cried, causing her tears to manifest into crystals. This alone was worth more than any other crystals in the Immortal King Grade.

"Xiesha…"

Davis reached out his hand and caressed the baby along with Iesha.

He had no idea what this name meant, but he knew Iesha's half-siblings were also named like this. Lisha, Brisha, and whatnot. Sha was apparently the name given to the members of the royal family, and Frostrain was the tribe name.

Clearly, Iesha wanted her child to also be a royal soul.

"It's a good name."

Davis commented, feeling like it sounded pretty. Although it was adding just a word to her own name, it changed the way the words were spoken completely since Iesha was pronounced I-sha and Xiesha was pronounced Shi-a-sha.

Soon, Xiesha opened her eyes lightly and looked at them. She reached out her hands, making strange gestures with weird expressions before she closed her eyes and went to sleep again. However, she cutely wrapped her fingers around her mother's, holding Iesha close.

Davis and Iesha couldn't help but laugh. The others also found it amusing. They had expected the baby to sit up and talk, but it seemed like that wasn't happening. However, in half a year, there was definitely some possibility for the baby to be as functional as a three-year-old.

After all, spirit-human feys were already equivalent to Nascent Soul Stage Cultivators.

They had a powerful soul which ensured their safety from the beginning of their life. This made it so that their cognitive abilities were much more shaped to absorb information and learn faster. True spirit children were even more crazy since they could speak and communicate from the start.

"Still, what was that heavenly phenomenon? We should ask Myria."

"Hmm." Davis nodded.

Davis invited Evelynn and the others who were standing outside. They all went crazy upon seeing little Xiesha since she was so cute with her long hair and little face. She comfortably stayed within her mother's embrace but watched them all with her white eyes that opened occasionally.

It was probable that she could remember every single one of their faces with her high soul capacity.

Meanwhile, Davis pulled Myria from the side and asked her about what was with that heavenly phenomenon and the Eternal Winter Star.

"So that's what it was. The phenomenon was even more brilliant in the sky outside."

Myria seemed amazed before she shook her head, "But I'm sorry. I don't have any recollection of what the Eternal Winter Star is. It may be an icy star floating somewhere in the universe, but if it's not, I don't know."

"I see."

Davis nodded, "It's fine if you don't know. Don't worry about it. If Xiesha has a connection with something, then I'll help her safely tame it in the future."

"I will help too~"

Myria giggled at him before she went after Xiesha.

Xiesha's popularity was over the roof as she also enchanted the other children. They couldn't stop caressing her with their little hands.

Without anything untoward happening today, Davis heaved a sigh inwardly. The heavenly phenomenon was unexpected but it wasn't unwelcome since it didn't seem to carry any ill intentions. After spending some more time and being astonished again over a finding, he laughed out loud before he gathered his people and set out to the Whispering Wildlands Peninsula.

Today, there might be a war or an obedient handover, but either way, he was determined to have the Realm Core!
