Destroying My Own World

Chapter 257 Causality and time.

Chapter 257 Causality and time.

Mykel looked at the hall inside Lucifer's palace, and then he saw Luciel coming out of the hallway with a sword in her hand. He didn't say anything and watched as Luciel cleaned the sword and then she carefully put it on the shelf.

"Reminiscing the past?" Mykel asked as he walked to the shelf.

Luciel was startled because she didn't notice Mykel's presence at all. She then walked to the side to let Mykel look at her first sword which was made from Empyrean Steel.

"I forgot where I put the sword, and after that little adventure, I remembered it now and thought it's the only thing that I can remember about my father," Luciel answered as she looked at the brittle and yet shiny blade.

"Do you want him back?" Mykel asked.

"I don't know. Most of my memories with him are unpleasant since he never acted as a father and the fact he made me just to use me only gives a bad taste in my mouth," Luciel answered as she looked at the palace. "I guess the answer to that is a no," Luciel scoffed.

"I see. If you change your mind, I'll do something about it since Lucifer is still alive out there," Mykel said as he walked away.

"Mykel, can we talk?" Luciel asked before Mykel could leave the palace. "This paradox, it's been bothering me and I couldn't rest because of it," Luciel pointed out.

"I'm sure everyone feels the same way. Let's have a talk with everyone here," Mykel said as he nodded his head.

Everyone gathered in the throne room and they were all sitting at the massive table that was large enough for everyone to sit around it. They knew why they were gathered since Mykel told them about the issue and wanted to give them his insight.

"The causal loop of self-creation is the thing you're all worried about," Mykel said as he tapped on the table. "You're wondering if we are the original or not and if we should be worried if we are not. Is that what you're worried about?" Mykel asked as he looked at each one of them.

They all nodded their heads since it was what they were worried about even though Mykel didn't read their minds.

"The answer to that is simple. There will be no original since we have become a part of the loop," Mykel pointed out as he sat straight.

"Wait, does that mean if you die, the other you will die as well?" Rozan asked with his eyebrows raised.

"Should we find out about it? I'm curious about it as well," Mykel asked back and he looked excited. Enjoy new tales from My Virtual Library Empire

Everyone quietly looked at Mykel and they didn't know what to say because that sounded dangerous. They all decided to shake their heads because they didn't want to die if what Rozan said came true.

"I have a question, Mykel," Nal said as she rested her head on her fist. "If we're not the original anymore, then why haven't we gotten a visit from our previous self? Your previous self should have come and visited us already by now," Nal asked.

Mykel was thinking about that as well and it was indeed odd that he hadn't met his previous self. But, he found out the answer after he had given it lots of thought for the past few weeks.

"That answer might be because they don't want to visit us," Mykel answered as he opened a bottle of vodka. "For the reason why, I'm not so sure, but what I know is one thing," Mykel said as he looked at the corner and then threw the bottle there.

Everyone was surprised, but what shocked them was the bottle was floating and didn't hit the wall. They all immediately stood up and realized someone was hiding there and watching them the whole time.

"Don't worry, that's Amy. The Amy from the previous reality," Mykel said and kept staring at the corner.

"It appears you have found out about it as well," Amaryllis said as she showed herself and walked to the table with the bottle of vodka in her hand. "My job here is done. Goodbye, Mykel," Amaryllis smiled as she put the bottle in front of Mykel.

Both Amaryllis looked at each other and then a portal appeared right behind Mykel. Amaryllis from the corner entered the portal and the portal disappeared immediately.

"What was that all about? How did you detect her?" Elena asked.

"The mystery of causality and time. If I want it to happen now, it will happen now. If I want it to happen there, it will happen there as we have become a part of the causal loop. All of our actions reflect the past of ourselves from another reality and it will happen to the future of ourselves from another reality," Mykel answered and then drank the vodka.

"I'm too dumb for this. My head hurts," Gunnar said as he held his head and scratched his hair.

"To put it simply. What I did back there isn't because I know she's there, but I want her to be there. Since all my action is the reflection of the past of the previous reality, that's what she was there in the first place," Mykel explained.

"So basically, later on, Amy's clone will attend the meeting where Little Mykel and the others sat here? And then Little Mykel will throw a bottle of vodka to the same corner and Amy will show herself and make the same move as what we saw earlier?" Gunnar asked with his eyebrows raised.

"Yes, that's exactly how it works. The mystery of causality and time," Mykel nodded his head.

Everyone tried to process it and those who understood Mykel's explanation explained it to others who didn't. They realized that all the realities were connected in one way or another like a string of fate. But the string of fate was determined and controlled by Mykel himself which meant that he controlled his own fate.

"Is it really us who create the fate and not determined by the actions of ourselves from the previous reality?" Aurea asked with a troubled and suspicious look on her face.

"Amy, what did she tell you?" Mykel asked Amaryllis.

Amaryllis was startled that Mykel knew about the hidden message that the previous Amaryllis had told her. She then brought her clones and made them stand behind every one of them. She then put her hand on everyone's chest as she looked them in the eyes.

"The truth," Amaryllis answered and burst all the memories that she had and transferred them to everyone.

The truth wasn't about their origins of themselves, but the fact that they were all connected to their previous self. Their minds, their thoughts, and their desires were all connected into a single core. In the end, what they did or what they were going to do, they were all based on their own thoughts.

"Don't," Mykel immediately grabbed Amaryllis's hand and removed it from his chest before the memories could enter Mykel's head. "We are who we are. Our past is what we experienced, not the one from before us," Mykel said as he shook his head.

Amaryllis smiled and then nodded her head. Mykel was the only one who didn't get in touch with his core.

"Remember, you don't have to worry about our past or our future. What we are going to do is based on our own decision and face the consequence, that's what it means to control your own fate," Mykel said to put everyone at ease.

Mykel stood up and looked every one of them in the eyes as he rested his hands on the table.

"Now what will you do? Accept it and let it all happen because you believe it doesn't matter anymore? Or, would you believe in me no matter what happened?" Mykel asked.

"You're the only Mykel we know, and we would rather put our fate in your hands. We are yours, and we will do what you want us to do," Jeanne answered.

Everyone nodded their heads in agreement.

"Good, then it's time for us to fight him. We have done our job and left our legacy behind. Our legacy will depend on us, and us alone," Mykel said as he put on his gloves. "I'm sick of watching," Mykel added as he looked at his right fist.

"Fuck that legacy. I want the legacy that came between my legs," Aurea slammed the table as she stood up. "And I will get that legacy once this is over," Aurea looked Mykel in the eye.
