Chapter 1806 Arneel
Chapter 1806 Arneel
Tang Shaoyang paused for a moment, thinking why Khaya was suddenly interested.
'It makes sense for her to be curious because she experienced herself how powerful she is after the integration.'
"I don't trust you to let you watch the summoning, so no. Maybe later if you can gain my trust." He was blunt with the answer.
This was their first mission together as a team, and he did not trust her enough for her to see the summoning even though it did not really matter whether she watched the summoning or not.
Khaya was disappointed, but she expected it. Radiance told her in her head that her captain would not allow her to watch the summoning. It was for the same exact reason: trust. He had not fully trusted her yet as a team member, and she understood because this was their first mission together.
"Tell Commander Edson not a single person can come closer. He will know what I mean, and I will give him the equipment he wanted later." Tang Shaoyang added as Khaya turned around to leave.
On the way back to the wall, she noticed that the skeleton army had called back to the wall and they were gathering the bodies, separating the loot from the dead bodies as they brought the bodies to her captain.
She remembered her captain mentioned something about sacrifice, so the dead bodies were the sacrifice for the summoning. Thanks to The Nirvana Alliance, everyone knew about the Spirit Contractor, but the detail was never known by the public. She did not know the summoning needed sacrifice.
Khaya quickly returned to the frontier wall as she must make a report quickly to Commander Edson. The commander was waiting for her as he came down from the wall as soon as he saw him.
"Where's your captain?" He questioned.
"Captain Tang Shaoyang will stay there for a little longer, and he asks that no one is allowed to come closer. He will give you the loot later and he said you know what he means." She relayed the message.
Commander Edson looked toward the direction where Tang Shaoyang was and furrowed his brow. There was a lot on his mind after the battle. He watched how the skeleton army fought, and he watched how The Reds team members fought after the transformation. There were a lot of questions in his mind right now but he was unsure whether the young administrator would answer him.
The most important thing was the cooperation. He wanted Tang Shaoyang to use the same skill with his soldiers as well instead of his team members. That would make them stronger and ensure they win this war.
He was aware that the battle was not over yet. A lot of void creatures were still coming out from the Void Gate and more armies below the Void Gate. The Void Cult was testing the Hurakan Legion's strength, and what came next would be much stronger and tricky.
That was why he needed to increase their chance of winning with minimum casualty like today. The young administrator might have the skill to increase the odds. He needed to meet Tang Shaoyang soon and discuss it before the next attack.
"I have something urgent to discuss with your captain. I want to meet him now!" Edson could not wait for Tang Shaoyang to get back.
Khaya reacted and held Commander Edson's wrist. "Please wait. It will only take half an hour up to one hour."
She reacted because Radiance told her to stop Commander Edson. If not for Radiance, she would not stop Commander Edson like this.
Edson was surprised the elf stopped him. He turned toward the elf and frowned.
"As you can see, he doesn't allow his team to be there. I think he will not like it if you come to him right now." Khaya chose her words carefully. The one in front of her was the Commander of the Hurakan Legion. Even as a Chief Administrator, she was not confident that she was stronger than this man even with the integration. She tried her best not to offend one of the influential commanders from the Hurakan Kingdom.
Commander Edson considered the elf's words and looked around. The Reds team members were returning to the wall instead of going back to their captain. Whatever the young administrator did there, Tang Shaoyang did not want anyone to watch him.
Despite his curiosity, he relented for the future of this frontier. The chance of him succeeding in persuading Tang Shaoyang to cooperate would be higher as long as he did not disturb the young administrator.
"Alright. But please send your captain a message that I want to meet him as soon as his business is over!"
Khaya was relieved that Commander Edson did not take offense as she nodded at the request. She sent the message and returned to the wall to regroup with the team. Everyone watched the skeleton dragging the void creature's dead bodies. With Commander Edson's command, no one complained about the loot.

Tang Shaoyang was doing a quick estimation as he watched the skeleton gather the void creature's corpses. Without a doubt, it was much more void of creatures than the previous summoning.
"I need to use the same amount of sacrifice when I summoned Mathias." He muttered.
The Hurakan Legion Commander VI was a low Archaic Spirit. It did not take that much to up him to high Archaic Spirit compared to Nikolas who was Mythical Spirit. The piles after piles started to stack up, and it took some time for the skeletons to gather the void creature's remains.
After everything was gathered, he separated the remains into four areas. Each area had more sacrifices compared to when he summoned Mathias, hopefully that would be enough to summon an intermediate Archaic Spirit.
Tang Shaoyang was about to be summoned, but he felt like too many eyes on him. He turned toward the wall, and the soldiers were watching him from afar. He did not know if they could see the summoning or not, but he preferred that no one saw him summoning.
'Should I use a domain so they could not see me?' He remembered that all domain skills merged into one domain skill, The Absolute Chaos Domain. The skill did not take him to another space but made the surroundings into his own space. That would not help him to get away from the soldiers.
"Don't you still have the King of Calamity Domain? You get the skill after you reach God Rank." Zara reminded him of the skill he had forgotten.
It was an incident where the spirit he summoned almost took his body over. Artrus, The King of Calamity almost took his body, but he ended up absorbing Artrus instead. He obtained the King of Calamity Domain at that time with a few other skills.
Tang Shaoyang activated the domain and the surroundings immediately changed. It was a dark space with five torches lightening the space. The fire on the torches was crimson fire with a purple hue, Artrus' trademark. The first thing he did was to check the corpses, and he was relieved that he brought the sacrifices into his domain as well.
"What do you want to get this time? Another commander from the Hurakan Legion?" Zara asked as she looked around curiously. The domain was pitch black aside from the area that was lightened by the fire. She could not see through the darkness.
"I think he might be able to summon Artrus again since we are summoning a spirit in Artrus' domain, or maybe a calamity spirit. I don't think he will get another commander." Avyn voiced her thoughts.
The place and the sacrifices were the big factors for Spirit Summoning. That was the case most of the time.
"Artrus should be dead forever, and a calamity spirit is the most logical one. I hope it's not another Doombringer." Zara agreed with Avyn's deduction.
"We will see what we will get!" Tang Shaoyang directed his hand to the first sacrifice. He made sure the other sacrifices were not accidentally used.
The bodies poofed into a thick black smoke, and there was no phenomenon such as thunder or storm. Maybe because they were in the domain.
Despite the black smoke, Tang Shaoyang could see a figure standing in the black smoke, not because of his Chaos Eyes, but because the figure was bright, blazing in flame. The color of the flame was the same as Artrus' fire.
[You have summoned Archaic Spirit, Arneel the Inferno Calamity!]
The black smoke thinned out before completely dissipating, revealing the figure. The figure was three meters tall, humanoid, but the figure did not have a physical body. Arneel was made of fire, the same with Artrus' fire.
"I sense Artrus from you, but you are not Artrus. Who are you?" Arneel asked and his voice rang directly in Tang Shaoyang's head. The voice was feminine, meaning this fire being was a woman. Zara and Avyn could not hear what Arneel said.
"Are you Artrus' descendant?" She asked again.
"I am not Artrus' descendant, what you sense is his fire, his power. I absorbed him when he tried to take over my body. That's how I inherit Artrus' power." Tang Shaoyang answered.
